It's always behaved like that. Using a Harmonizer makes that weapon have deepsight (aka "a red border"). It takes 5 deepsights of nearly all craftable weapons to unlock their pattern.

This is true....however that is both unintended and not predictable/farmable since it is tied to the powerful reward. That's why i said "truly f2p", because of this bug.

@@Commander_Pika Considering its been a bug since it came out, I would be shocked if it gets changed before the end of heresy when it and echoes are removed. It takes a while, but it is entirely doable to get the pattern when you average around 1 per week of challenge rotations.

I mean, the Double Perk on World Drop weapon bug was out since TFS and only got patched a few weeks ago. The Onslaught bug is low priority, so yeah it prob won't be fixed. But since you can't guarantee the weapon, it's limited drops, and it isn't intended, it's not something I would advocate for or really count as a reliable source. Get it if you can and want, but I wouldn't tell a f2p player to farm specifically for it.

@Commander_Pika Telling someone who has no access to an energy slot rocket sidearm otherwise about it seems like the exact person who should know about the opportunity to get it, no? Even more so if you think it may get removed in the future?

I'm unfamiliar with how large the loot pool for the onslaught powerful is, but I assume it's any Echoes weapon? How i see it: that person has 1 in 10 shot 3(?) times a week per character. For that time, you aren't guaranteed to get that weapon, it could be patched whenever, the roll you do get isn't guaratneed to be good, and you might not be able to use all your 5 harmonizers to unlock the pattern (if they patch it or don't get drops). I would point them to other special energy slot weapons that do a similar job, not them try to win the lottery.

They nerfed Pale Heart chests awhile ago. If you playing solo, the most optimal farms are farming strange coins to purchase class items from Xur when he sells them (which he is at the time of this message) or full completions of Overthrow (as overthrow chests at higher tiers increase the drop rate of the class item).

Only idea is that it might be tied to unlocking crafting. Have you done that (completed first missions of WQ and activated the enclave relic) on your other account?

Not for IB. (Reason being is that: the weapons only have 7 perks per column - not 12 like Strikes, Crucible, Gambit, and the weapons drop frequently via focusing - since their engram cost only is 1).

It's just rng. Perk weighting was fixed weeks ago. IB weapons have 7 perks per column, so getting the main 2 perks you want is a 1/49 chance. Don't push yourself if you aren't having fun, though. There are other top tier weapons.

The prismatic fragment Facet of Command will reload your equipped weapons after you freeze a target. I do like deconstruct since a frozen ad counts as a barrier (40% damage buff).

No, that is only for the "Core" Ritual Playlists: Vanguard (not Nightfall), Crucible (Not Trials or IB), and Gambit. The reason being is because those weapons roll with 12 perks per column. IB weapons only have 7. IB weapons also have a much higher rate of acquisition since it is a limited time mode, focusing costs are 1 engram, and you can guarantee an engram every 1-3 games via reputation (with also a high random chance of an engram upon match completion). So, focus away!

Wowzer. That’s some time. I’ve finally got 2 cc rolls but only after 2 4-5 hour sessions with 0… insane that they don’t weight rolls based on rolls you’ve received. That would be too kind tho right? Haha

I got 2 air trigger/chill in like 25 focuses - neither with tac mag though, still on the hunt😅

Considering there are seven perks that can roll in that same column, you’re pretty much going exactly as expected, no? (1/7, expected number of cc rolls from 21 engrams would be 3)

lol anyone saying “I got X and chill clip instead of air trigger and it’s just as good” is coping hard. Get back in IB and keep grinding. Air trigger is the god roll, full stop. Deconstruction blows 😂

@@RC_723 I have both and found Deconstruct to be most reliable since I use Special Finisher a lot. Also, subjective opinion. Anything else?

​@RC_723 I have somewhere around 40k pve kills on rocket sidearms and ammo has never been an issue even post nerf. Personally I will probably end up preferring a Loose Change or Impulse Amplifier with Tac Mag roll. In any case after using this one a bit I agree that it's good but not game changing, both Indebted Kindness and Aberrant Action are probably better.

Anyone saying this gun isn't as good as blah blah blah doesn't play GMs or anything that difficult. It's newbs an numpties that say this gun isn't good 😂
