We are looking at the same route but have the same reservations possibly via Armenia and Azerbaijan (once the border reopens to travellers), crossing the Caspian Sea. As you say it’s a bit unreliable but it is doable. In the meantime we will head to Albania and Turkey this autumn.

this is a great video, what a fantastic find. did you travel all the way down the coast? I'm thinking of hiking/buses from Durres to Sarande next month. do you think this would be doable along the coast? I'll have 15-20 days to wander and explore, wildcamp with a hammock too on most days.

Hey great Video! How is the way on the M5? I saw and i also heard, that one of the 3 bridges over the river is broke down... so this bridge is also in your video. So it it passable is there a alternative road trough the river? My question is, is it possible to drive with a normal car this route and is it possible to pass the alternative street at the broken bridge? Thank you
