The reason why tf2 is still beloved by so many players that u didnt mention in ur video are 1 the graphics 2 the Internet 3 this game is extremely funny 4 absolute perfect soundtrack 5 the pve aka mvm Tf2 art style is absolutely perfect its cartoony and the game enbraces its a cartoon Tuis game doesn't tell jokes but relies on the characters and players for its humor the dominace lines between characters are hilarious and watching a scout laugh at someone ragdoll and then kill binding will never stop being funny Mvm mode is great better than ow2 pve cause u pay currently $1.01 for content and a chance for austrialium Its very fun and requires a ton of skill Next is the soundtrack god this some of the best soundtrack in gaming not only some songs fit for their respective classes but has some bangers like the main theme If u listen to it and had ni knowledge of tf2 u can perfectly understand it a very cartoony game Lastly tf2 in Internet culture and this one of the biggest reason for tf2 standing the test of time like ow and r34 Tf2 has ingrained itself in Internet culture with memes And even to this day u can see a tf2 meme posted Also forgot to mention the va is absolute perfect all of them fit each role perfectly Anyway these reasons ill never stop loving TF2 as well as it was my first PC i ever owned

Fun fact about these kind of look like golden golden weapons Mr creator of the video I present you Australian skins most expensive and rare weapons in the game it’s a curse and a thing of beauty because everyone will throw the damn packets of the money just to buy one of these these are Australian skins are expensive skins to have but there was a downside when you get it everyone will get someone with your name of your account for telling them that you have found a Australian skin put it off the walls in the other way if you destroy it it tells everyone in the server that you’ve destroyed Australian skin someone done it with the Australian pan and he was destroyed from the face of the TF2 to society because he destroyed the most rarest pain in the world and he was gone for years so that’s why these things can be a curse or a thing of beauty 2:36

TF2 has 2440 different loadout combinations over all the classes. There is a common consensus that it takes at least 10,000 hours to master anything. If you played TF2 with the goal of using every single loadout possible within the game, and got to 10,000 hours, that would only equal a little over 4 hours of gameplay per individual loadout. The depth of TF2 is truly staggering, and there is always more to learn and improve.

video: * shows only clips of Demoknights getting absolutely destroyed * Well... Pyros and (ironically) sentry guns are a DemoKnight's biggest counters. Demoknight is an absolute monster in Medieval mode maps (of which there are... two... in official rotation, erm, and a few more on community servers, but... yeah). Demoknight is a menace in normal TF2 _when played by someone who knows what they are doing_ (i.e. SolarLight and other Demoknight "mains") and knows how/where to use map topography for "trimping" to fly aross the map to get behind the enemy team to destroy their Medic and whatever else "groundbound" class can't get away fast enough. Demoknight used to be blacklisted in comp TF2, is now allowed in Highlander 9v9. So-called hybrid "BombKnights" are rarely but sometimes seen in 6v6 comp these days, as 6v6 rules have gradually loosened to allow more playstyles over the last decade and Engineers with sentry guns are rare in 6v6 (except on 5CP maps when a Roamer Scout and Roamer Soldier might temporarily switch to Engineer and Heavy for defense of the final point).

As someone who has played TF2 since 2012, and Overwatch since the OW1 Beta, I can say ironically the early OW1 was far more like TF2 than later-day OW. Because in the early days, Overwatch's gameplay philosophy was (similar to TF2) built around 1. Rock-Paper-Scissors design where certain classes counter other classes, and teams can to adjust dynamically to what the enemy does, 2. Hero synergies (when Heroes using their abilities to boost each other are stronger than individually), and 3. Teamwork enforced by gameplay: a single class or player should not be able to single-handedly kill an entire team (barring the use of Ults) Heroes were sorted into categories Offense, Defense, Tank and Support.(Symmetra 1.0 was classified as a Support despite not being a healer.) But then, under the influence of competitive Overwatch player wishes and the dictates of Overwatch League tournaments that wanted faster gameplay and constant "flashy frags" for the audience, something happened: 1. The overreliance on "team composition metas". 2. Blizzard started rewriting the OW Heroes to remove the "Defense" category and its gameplay to turn everyone into attack classes who can fight independently, at the cost of teamplay. For example they removed Torbjörn's and Symmetra's ability to grant armor plating or additional shield to teammates - which at first wasn't a bad choice, as during the height of the "armor + shield" meta some Heroes had basically become unkillable - and Torbjörn's need to level up his turret with metal (like the TF2 Engineer) and rewrote them to be frontline fighters. Torb's Ult is no longer about his turret but an Area of Effect area denial ult. Symmetra can now fire her mini-turrets into the enemy's backline and project her teleporter exit anywhere in LOS and range. Orisa was also completely rewritten to have far more damage output. Sombra no longer has to place her teleport device somewhere and then teleport back to it when in danger, but can throw it ahead of her behind the enemy line, and hack people while invisible, meaning her gameplay changed from "sneaky backstabber" to "invisible Tracer". Mind you, not all the changes were bad. Toning down the amount of stun mechanics was good. But in combination, all the changes combined altered the vibe of the game.

Hoenstly, the best class for a newcomer is not Soldier, as many people seem to think (as TF2 Soldier is nothing like OW's Soldier76 in gameplay, and TF2 unlike many other shooter games features no class that runs around with an assault rifle or SMG as main weapon). Neither is it Heavy, who is hugely reliant on the player knowing the maps and having game sense, and preferably having a Medic nearby (as Heavy as the only "tank" is very slow and has a giant hitbox and dies fairly quickly as the overall damage output in "modern" TF2 is so much higher than it was in 2007 when only stock weapons existed and no random crits existed). No, I am firmly convinced the best class for newcomers is... the Medic. If you are new and have no clue about the maps, just follow your team around, stay alert to survive (never stand still, keep an eye and ear out for Spies uncloaking behind you), heal and maybe managed to survive long enough to charge your übercharge to 100% and help your team push/defend... and presto, you are already far more useful to the team as any newbie who plays Scout but runs in a straight line at Heavies or Soldiers and dies, or a player who choses Sniper because he plays snipers in CoD but then stands there and tries to shoot through an unbreakable window all match... The Medic is one the three "Support classes" along with Sniper and Spy ; in TF2, the "Support" category is defined as "opening up opportunities for their team and breaking stale-mates", as they are classes who aren't front-line fighters or defense role and likely can't win on their own but who are _hugely powerful game-changers_ when working with the team. Sniper and Spy do this by "picking" (killing) the enemy team's most valueable class (usually the enemy Medic) and removing obstacles like enemy sentry guns. But for the Medic, it's his Übercharge... the only "Ultimate" in TF2 and insanely powerful. [*] The Medic is the 2nd fastest class in the game (even though in 2017 the Spy's base movement speed was increased so he is now as fast as the Medic), second only to the Scout. The Medic is the only class who has constant HP regeneration, meaning the player has to pay less attention to finding dispensers or medkits as long as he has the gamesense to retreat in time... because a Medic's first and foremost duty is to survive so he can continue to heal and build übercharge. And while the Medic can also dish out a lot of damage with his syringe gun at medium range (once you have figures out how to aim the arcing hails of projectiles it spits out at high velocity) or with his healing/damaging crossbow at long range (basically, Ana's rifle in OW is copied from the TF2 Medic's Crusader's Crossbow), he rarely needs to bother with ammo refills, as his Medigun does not need ammo. In pub servers, the Medic and the Engineer also have the highest change of random crits (esp melee crits!!!) due to how the random crit charging system works and how the sentry gun's damage and the medigun's healing both count towards it. (In comp TF2, random crits are disabled.) [*] (Even though the addition of the reflective airblast to the Pyro's flamethrower in the 2008 Pyro Update is still one of the most useful stalling tactics against an übered combo push, even ifthe Pyro dies during it. The other is the Engineer's rescue ranger, added in 2012, that can now teleport embattled sentries or dispensers across the battlefield to the Engi's hand as long as he has LOS and enough metal.)

Learning all the details of TF2, which looks simple at first glance but has a high skill ceiling (not just because of blast-jumping but because of weapon synergies, class synergies and the huge importance of _game sense_ and map knowledge is in TF2), can be daunting for a TF2 newbie as the game explains very little to newcomers and even weapon descriptions listing what a non-stock weapons does can be confusing to a newbie. (and stock weapons don't have descriptions that explains about things like i.e. minigun spin-up time and damage ramp-up and how it can be folded into the spin-up time). A huge help is the Official Team Fortress Wiki, maintained by the TF2 community but officially approved by Valve. Sadly, the official TF2 Tutorial for newbies is... helpful, but outdated and only covers Engineer, Demoman, Soldier, Spy, it doesn't talk about blast-jumping or Pyro's hugely useful airblast-reflecting (because when TF2 launched in 2007, Pyro's flame thrower didn't yet have the airblast). As someone who plays both games, TF2 since 2012 and OW since OW1 Beta, I must admit that Overwatch has a better tutorial for newbies by having a training map. The TF2 community's map makers have created awesome training maps (recognizable by having the prefix "tr_"), but to use them one has to know where to download them and how to host them on a listen server, unless you find a community sever who runs tr_ maps (look for them in the server browser). Since 2018, all TF2 content has been 100% community-made. Even prior to that, a lot of content was increasingly created by community map makers, animators, 3D modellers, starting in 2008 with the first community-made maps that Valve added to the stock map pool due to outstanding quality (and even those first maps now look outdated compared to the latest maps which have all sorts of cool payload gimmicks, mobile flank routes, much prettier graphics etc)... not to mention the YTers, TF2 Source Filmmaker video animators, community voice actors, artists, cosplayers, writers, musicians etc. And yes, the TF2 competitive eSports scene (which started in 2008 or 2009) and its tournaments are entirely hosted, streamed and cast by the TF2 community too. Which means the collected price money is usually peanuts. But prior to the pandemics, comp teams from NA would fly to EU and vice versa to play in LAN tournaments. And there are multiple TF2 charity events over the course of a year, fairly regularly, with comp tournaments streamed for charity donations, both "serious comp" and crazy events on "April Fool's" maps where donators can request that more chaos is added by spawning i.e. TF2 Halloween bosses normally only found on Halloween maps

The good news is, it looks like Valve finally found a fix and the cheatbot crisis is over! (fingers crossed) After several _years_ of Valve pub servers being invaded and overrun by Sniper-cheatbots, lagbots and (server) crashbots sent by malicious people who deliberately sell cheat software and host cheatbot accounts by the hundreds with the stated goal to "destroy TF2" (and who harassed and doxxed TF2 community programmers who had created anti-cheatbot plugins for TF2 community servers that worked & YTers who had spoken out against the bot hosters), t othe extend that even the surviving TF2 voice actors had petitioned Valve along with the player community to do more than temporary ban waves of bot accounts on Steam, Valve _finally_ seems to have found a fix that works: Since TF2's Summer 2024 Update we have not seen any Sniper-cheatbots on Valve servers for several weeks now. Hopeful optimism. It takes the pressure off community servers. And newbie players's first experience with TF2 will be Valve servers anyway, as the _good_ community servers can be hard to find for a newcomer , either via the bare-bones server browser or via Steam Groups or via known TF2 TH-camrs who run their own community public servers.

A counter-point to offer about TF2's meta: the typical 6v6 competitive lineup of classes is 2 scouts, 2 soldiers, 1 demo, 1 med. That is almost always the case, sometimes you may see a team occasionally whip out one of the other classes but it's rare and never typically full-time. Not to mention a lot of unlockable weapons are blacklisted from official competitive tf2. (not with the competitive matchmaking system in the game, nobody uses that anyway). However, I still wouldn't call competitive TF2 'stale' because of that. Those classes are the typical lineup for a good reason, they're the most versatile and powerful of them all, so they get used the most. In a high level, obviously, teamplay is important, but what I think keeps TF2's meta from creating a stale environment where every game feels the same is the amount of impact and individual player can make. Just one soldier or scout or even a demo can jump in, kill 3-4 players in rapid succession in an amazing display of technical skill, and completely change the course of a game in a matter of seconds. In a game of Overwatch, that is usually never the case, players just don't die quickly enough and there are far too many abilities that just shut people down. That I think is a huge difference between a game of TF2 and Overwatch and why both feel so different.
