    WHO’s did this bring back memories. My step-grandmother had a 40 acre farm here in Washington State. They farmed with draft horses, when the last draft horse died. My step-father bought a Farm-all Cub tractor. The horse drawn equipment was converted to tractor pull. We mowed the hay with the shackle mower and the hay rake was a rope trip so you could create rows. The we hooked the tracker to the old horse drawn hay sled. This was back breaking work as you walked along with hand forks loading the sled. Then offloading into the hayloft. Thankfully, this only lasted 2 years and they he started getting the hay balled. We still had to load and load onto the hay sled. What wasn’t a lot of fun was having to ride on the manure spreader. It had a foot active gear that started the beater blades in the rear and a system that fed the manure into the beaters. You can imagine what it was like for the guy riding on the spreader seat. The speed the blades turned was dictated by the speed of the tractor. There were times, he know what it’s like between brothers, If the driver wasn’t happy with the brother on the spreader. You can imagine what it could be like. PUEW.

      For being a utility it’s pretty quick. Fast wouldn’t be the word but it chirps the tires on asphalt between 1st and 2nd when you floor it in sport mode. How often would you really drive more than 10-20 on a trail anyways? This tops out at 64 easily and maintaining 55mph is easy.

    If you want to transform the comfort of the rear seats, I highly recommend you look up Rad Customs in ID. They make a bracket where you add a RZR seat base and then set it where the factory butt pad goes. It makes sitting in the back so comfortable........to the point where my kids fight to sit in the back and not the front. Before that they hated riding in the Pioneer in general, and I don't blame them. The only thing you need to understand up front about Rad Customs is they don't mass produce these brackets. If you go on the website it will tell you exactly when they are going to ship.

I do have two spare junk mowers, and just pushed one in gear, worked forward/reverse whether you were litterally in forward, or reverse. Now if made sleave for extending one set of axels/cut the spare axels Get more center clearance. Probably wouldn't push for more than 6" either side. Oh man. Maybe at some point. Lol

    Funny how someone with some actual engineering knowledge tries this and warns you how dangerous it is and then every sycophantic 'Tuber jumps on the bandwagon and goes and does it inbred redneck style...This might be OK to pull behind a tractor. Definitely not something you want to be pulling with an ATV, unless your goal is to get decapitated. Your support structure is woefully inadequate for the mass you are pulling. There is a high risk of the diff separating from the tow vehicle, with unpredictable and potentially catastrophic results. But, hey, if it weren't for people like you TH-cam wouldn't exist in the first place. Congratulations, you made an upside down helicopter. @6.2_vortec 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @SPCLPONY
      @SPCLPONY 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That length of wood that moves the cutter bar is called a 'pitman arm.' Generally made of a hard wood for longevity. It is the 'sacrificial' moving part in case something gets jammed in the cutter knives on the bar. Most Farm and Family or Tractor Supply Co. stores carry them in a couple of common lengths, already grooved on both ends. Just drill your own bolt holes. I make my own out of scraps of pressure treated lumber. As 6.2_vortec has stated, the pitman arm length is determined by 'orientation' of the rotating head and connecting point on the bar. The tip of each knife section must move side to side between the stone guard tips. There are a few videos that can show how that is done.
