Those were nice mowers in their day! We have one that my dad and grandpa used for years, as a young kid I was fascinated by the mechanics when it was in operation. Loved that clickity clack sound!
If you decide to pull it with anything other than horses, keep in mind that’s what it was designed for. If you go faster than 3-4 mph you can make the gears brittle and they will fail. If you find you need parts for it, I recommend E-Z Trail manufacturing. They carry new parts for McCormick Deering #7 and #9 parts as well as JD big 4 parts.
That’s really good to know. I am using my atv but I have a old international garden tractor I’ve started using. I never go more than 3 on the atv and the international has a very low first speed
