Cheryl, thanks for sharing your custom kiln furniture! I love this and plan to use it. Thank you!
Great 👍, wish you all the best always
That was VERY helpful, demonstrating how to determine the angle on the keystones. Thank you from North Carolina, USA.
I’ve used it on dozens of cement stepping stones and terracotta pots. As long as it’s grouted, it seems to do well
Is it ok for wood used inside? Thank you.

Great job. Thanks for sharing. I put Vaseline around the neck of a bottle/jar, when I afraid the lid might stick. Easy to get off next time.
That's a great idea!
I just ordered some - will look at the rest of your videos - looks like fun!
Enjoy and happy sculpting.
Thanks so much! I am fairly new to ceramics so your description of glazes vs underglazes was explained so clearly.
Glad it was helpful!
Nicely explained video thank you ❤
Glad it was helpful!
I want to do this so much!! But I don’t have a kiln. Can I bake in oven?
Not with regular clay. You do need a kiln to get up to the high temperatures to ensure the flowers will withstand outdoor conditions and not deteriorate. BUT,,,you could try polymer clay…although it is not recommended for outdoors.
@@HannMadeStudio thank you so much!!

Thank you Cheryl! Learned so much about a different way to do the dry method, using 'tools' like socks & toothbrushes! I'm very new at this and found using paper towels (instead of the sock) so incredibly messy, and I think using a toothbrush makes so much more sense in cleaning up those areas of the glass or tiles rather than using dental picks. Overall I just like your method so much more, including keeping a shop vac close by to clean as you go! Thanks again. PS, I forgot to ask after watching the mandala video - do you have a written pdf or pattern of the mandala? I would love to replicate it. Thank you!
Hi, thank you for your feedback. I am so glad the video was helpful. I dont do PDF’s of my classes, sorry. But,,have a go at creating your own with a compass paper and pencils. You may come up with something BETTER!!! Good luck
Wow! Wonderful tutorial! I had no idea of how to figure it out, now it makes so much sense! TY!
Thank you very much for your feedback. I am so glad it is making sense. This is a difficult concept to grasp.

Very informative
I am pleased that you found this informative. Good luck
You are so lovely Cheryl, and such a help to all mosaic newbies. You explain everything so thoroughly. May I ask what brand compound nippers these are? Thanks from NZ.
The ones I have are not available in Australia anymore, but you can get some similar in the online shops. Beliana Mosaics in Gembrook, Victoria, has some on her website. Check it out. Good luck and thank you for your comments. It is always lovely to hear from viewers.
Great video - thanks for your thoroughness in explaining the process! :D The use of the rolling cloth & reference tile is a game changer.
Glad it was helpful!
is there anywhere you show how you glued the mosiac? I saw the layout video but wanted to know how you went about gluing - did you lift out every piece and glue on? thanks
I get beginnners to lay the tiles first so they have even spacing. The tiles are then lifted up individually and glued. When i work i lay down the glue and place the tile onto the glue. You need to select a method that works for you and your experience and practice. there is no right or wrong way,,,,just what you are happy with.
what is the cement glue - thinset? very helpful video thank you!
There are many cement type adhesives on the market. I use “tile All” by Dunlop as it is easy to find in shops where i live here in Victoria. America uses “Laticrete” products and Europe uses Mapei.
In Australia we call thinset, cement adhesives. I hope this sorts out any confusion.
❤ Thank you for this inspirational video. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gorgeous. Thank you for your tips abd "tricks". I've learned new things from you.
Hi where are you located and do you do face to face lessons. I love your videos, I am learning so much. 😊
I Helen. I do face to face workshops. I am located in Ocean Grove, Victoria, Australia. I am travelling to Queensland in August to teach some workshops.
Thank you so much. I learned something beautiful from you.
Thank you
An excellent video Cheryl. I would never have thought about using my husband’s tile cutter lol, but now will. Also, such a good idea about just scoring the leaves to let the grout colour in the lines.
You are so welcome!
Great explanation.. esp, the center place. Also, for less waste.. then marking them in along line. Thanks!
My pleasure. I am so pleased you found this TH-cam helpful Thank you for your feedback
This was great, thank you! What is your substrate - it seemed thin for a tile. I so appreciate that you showed every step including mixing!
Thank you for your response The substrate is a piece of “cement sheeting “ or in USA hardiboard/hardibacker
What a fabulous tutorial.
Thank you
