Which art supply works best on STONE PAPER?
This video is putting STONE PAPER to the test with different materials to find out which art supply works best on it. If you are curious about this paper and how it reacts to different wet and dry media, stick around as I will use Graphite Pencils, Colored Pencils, Ink, Watercolor, Gouache, Alcohol Markers and Acrylic Pens to see what makes this stone paper so different from regular paper. I will compare it to my standard paper for sketching (Hahnemühle Nostalgie 90 lbs) so you can see a direct comparison and judge for yourself.
I will use this paper to create some real artwork in my next video!

SKETCHBOOK SESSION with Pencil Drawings | House of the Dragon
มุมมอง 228หลายเดือนก่อน
This video is a sketchbook session with pencil. It is a no-talk & music-only video where I create drawings of characters from the HBO Show "House of the Dragon". I am drawing in my standard Moleskine Sketchbook ...
Getting MORE CREATIVE with Colored Pencil Portraits
มุมมอง 432หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I want to show you how I get more creative with my colored pencil portraits by using a lot of vibrant colors in a very intuitive way. Portraits don't have to be realistic all the time following the reference one by one. You can make your own creative artistic choices embracing the possibilities with colored pencils. I talk about using a reference for realistic proportions but at t...
4 TIPS & TRICKS on How to Construct a Head for Portraits | Methods I find helpful
มุมมอง 13Kหลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I will show you 4 Tips & Tricks on how to construct a head for portrait drawings. I use these all the time and they helped me tremendously with my drawings. There are a lot of tricks I didn't know when I started talking portrait drawing seriously. One thing which helped me incredibly was the quite famous "Loomis Method" by Andrew Loomis. I use it in my construction phase combined ...

In this video I'm drawing characters from the HBO show House of the Dragon. I picked Daemon, Rhaenyra and Jacaerys for this one! I will draw characters from team green in one of my next videos on the other side of the sketchbook spread. Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen was so much fun to draw, his facial features are outstanding and unique. I love his performance in the show, he truly managed to ...

Wow you have talent ❤❤❤❤
Thank you 😊❤️
Excellent method. Do you have a method for drawing hands and feet?
Unfortunately not really, I have to admit I always just draw them from observation with a reference 😬 but I'm looking into methods. Loomis actually has a method for hands!
Beautiful
❤
BEAUTIFUL! I love the earring!
Thank you so much, your channel is amazing, the way you explain is so clear and helpful ❤
Thank YOU! I feel flattered 😄
Thanks for posting this. Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful for you! Thank you for your support!
You clearly know what you are doing, and your relaxed style of instruction makes for a very pleasant learning experience. Looking forward to more from you.
Thank you that's very kind 😊 happy to hear!
Please can you tell me what paper and pencils? Thanks ❤
Yes of course! 😁 I used toned grey paper from strathmore and the colored pencils are a mix of Holbein and Polychromos.
Wow ❤️
this is sooo pretty ✨💗
😁❤️

Aww thank you so much! 🌸❤️
Many thanks, that was really helpful.
I love watching you draw! Can you maybe make a video about how you shade, with what pencil and your structure and thinking on that? I like the simplicity and less-is-more of your portrets. Mine always end up with way to much scratches and I get stuck 😂
Ohh thank you I'm so happy to hear you like my videos 😊 Yes I was actually planning on my next video to be about shading/blending!! I will try to explain it as good as I can! 😁
really wonderful and useful video! I hope you will take some more photos and do portraits.
Nice work😎👍🏻
Thank you 😊

Hi Selina! Nice to meet another growing channel, your neighbor to the north in Michigan. Just subbed and happy support you. You’re very talented!
Hi there! Likewise and thank you for your support!! 😁 I'm still new in the US and it's great to connect with americans! I'll check out your account!
@@SelinaJelovic absolutely! Where abouts in the States? You have a lot of skill and patience for sure! Lots of creativity and looking forward to seeing more work.
@@dbproductreviews6319 thank you thank you! Ohio it is!
Love how vibrant the portrait looks ❤ I think I have a toned sketchbook lying somewhere around so I'll give it a try. Great video and thanks for the inspiration 😊
Thank you Ammar 😁 Glad you like it!! Colored pencils look amazing on this paper!
Great tutorial thanks.
I'm so grateful that I found your video. I used your shading tips and created a drawing I'm really proud of. Thank you!
Oh that's awesome! So glad to hear and thank you!! 😊
Bravo! I struggled with drawing mainly because I never chose subjects with good lighting. I hope to learn from your example.
This looks great!
Gurll! YOU ARE SO UNDERRATED OMG! THAT DRAWING IS CRAZYYYY GOOD ❤
Thank you that's sweet 😁❤️
i hope we can collaborate some time, i am also an artist but from uganda though and i use skthart for my channel
hey selina this is really beautiful
I've watched a ton of Loomis method tutorials, but this one is definitely one of the best! The video is simple but really well made. Just one thing: you should show the reference next to the final product at the end-that would make it perfect!
Ohh thank you for this huge compliment!! I will make a seperate video just for the Loomis Method in the future. Thanks for the feedback, I will definetely put the reference next to the drawing in my next videos 😇
Love this ❤
Hey Du, tolles Video.
This is a great video. I wish you showed the reference beside your drawing
Thank you! Yeah someone mentioned this too and I will do this in future videos 😊
The details add so much! You’re amazing :D
Thank you 🌸
Thanks. That was really helpful.
Really interesting and well put together video. You have another subscriber!
Thank you!! Happy to have you here! 🌸
Can you upload the full tutorial video of this drawing. Thank you in advance. I really like this drawing
I did! The video is linked and also on my channel 🙂
Very instructive. How about a portrait of a child ?
Is actually already in the planning! 😄
Thanks for this video i like the step by step way you take. I struggle with a very basic thing with Loomis method: when you draw a circle on the head picture, how large shall it be? What reference point do you take? Is the circle always touching some landmarks in the face? Thanks!!!
Yes I agree that part is tricky! I will do a seperate video about the Loomis Method in the future so I can talk about everything more. From what I observe the flat side circle touches the hairline on top and the nose line on the bottom. More indicators are that the circle will "touch" the actual eyebrows and the ears are placed within that flat side. When I do the video I will try my best to explain it! Thank you for your comment! 🙂
@@SelinaJelovic thanks Selina it helps!
Excellent! I really enjoyed seeing you apply the Loomis method to getting a likeness. Please do another few like this with the excellent commentary on what and how you are making choices. At the end you might consider showing the finished drawing alongside the reference.
Thank you so much! I will do more videos like this and try my best to explain my whole process 😊 good suggestion with the reference in the end! I will incorporate it in the future for sure!
Thank you ❤ please could you post a tutorial on how to blend colored pencils for portraits?? For me its so hard to do especially the skin tones of a face
Thank you for your suggestion! I will add it to the list although usually I never just use colored pencils but mix it with gouache or watercolor. But who knows I might try it out!
Thank you queen ❤@SelinaJelovic
Please put more tutorials on this channel ❤ you are an excellent teacher
Thank you so much! I will definetely upload more turorials in the future 😊
