    On the Spyder, it has a thumb shifter. You must keep power on the throttle to shift as well. When you downshift, the bike does it automatically, but you can down shift it manually if you want. Technology is something, ain't it?

    Hey Stoney! Looks like you posted a video, and I finally saw it! It showed I wasn't subscribed for some reason. If I remember right, did you delete your TH-cam channel? Maybe you re-activated it and wiped out the old subs. TH-cam is SO weird sometimes. That weight and balance issues is the main reason I bought a Spyder. I just feel more confident on the Spyder. Mine is 1330cc, 117 HP and 95lbs of torque. Plenty fast for me. I do speed limit +5. Can-Am has come out with an Adventure Trike. The Canyon. They look different but for the life of me, why would you put a belt drive on it? The belts are bad about picking up rocks. Like in the Ryker, they should have put a shaft drive in it. GenX is moving into the 'old man' category, so we are going to tend towards the adventure style bikes. Not because we want to go on adventures, but because it is more practical for what we want to do. We'll mostly stay on the pavement, but if we choose to hit the ditch or median, the adventure bikes are better suited for that. Detouring on gravel roads are no issue for the ADV bikes. I'm looking at an Africa Twin next year, just as I'm turning 60. I still ride my 350X ATC and Rubicon quad on the farm. Last bike was a '88 CBR1000F when they still called them the Hurricane, but that style of crouched, fast riding is behind me. :) I'm 6'5 275lbs, so I need a bigger, taller bike. Speaking of quick shifter, I don’t use it much either although it works very well. Especially if you want to get up to speed in a hurry. I had a 2014 Suzuki 650 Vstrom and I found it really bothered my neck and shoulders, but not an issue with the Tiger. I’m 66 and love cruisers for there laid back relaxed riding position. Pushing 60, ride a 900 GT but keep a spare T-max for errands and a different kind of fun. The Tiger is the long haul machine for me. I think it is plenty heavy enough, but I can handle it. The seating position was the most important factor for my choice - I sometimes ride long rides, and that is actually possible on this bike with its upright seating position and it is easy to stand up on. In addition, the cruise control! improves enjoyment of longer rides by freeing up the right hand, and helps me keep the speed legal and even - I use it a lot. It was also important for my choice of bike. Allthough not a sports bike, it is quite nice to ride in more demanding environments - corners well and with confidence. I do ride a tiny bit on unpaved roads, but it's an asphalt machine I wanted and needed - thus the GT variant. Thanks for sharing.

      Small world, lol! My wife is from Hanover, WV, in Wyoming County. She IS a Hatfield, and yes, she's one of the infamous Hatfields. I went to school in Baileysville, which is no longer there. We lived in Beckley for a few years when my wife was in college. We moved to NC so I could finish school and we've been here for over 40 years. I live in Trinity and work in Archdale. I take a bike trip to WV every year. Best motorcycle roads in the world, as far as I'm concerned. We need to get together for a ride some time. As you know, there are some great roads around here.

I bought a 1985 Honda Rebel 250 to ride some back roads here close to me and I am having a ball. I absolutely love it. Smaller bikes are just so much fun to ride, and you don't have to wrestle them around like the big cruisers. That Honda will be around after you and I are gone, lol. Ah yes, the age dilemma us riders face with the bikes weights. My story as well. Going from touring, a Street Glide Special, to a cruiser, a Breakout, was my answer. Only about a 150lb difference, but my joy of riding more has increased 100%. Not sure personally if the adventure bike would work for me down here in Florida. I have seen a slight increase in older riders on adventure bikes. But I’ll never say never. Thank you as always for a wonderful ride.!

    64 year old guy here. I have a 900 GT pro. I tried seat pads and sheepskins and nothing worked. I was trying to avoid buying another seat but finally bit the bullet and got a Russell Day Long seat for this bike having had a Russell on a previous bike. I can't believe the difference! The best thing I can say about the seat is I don't even notice it is there. I can see why so many Iron Butt riders have them on their bikes. I had them retain my original seat heater so it still uses the original controls. Some down sides to them are they raise the height some, they need your seat pan to make the seat, and they are not the most attractive seat available for sure. I am at the point in my life where looking cool takes a distant 2nd to being comfortable. They do have a guarantee that I didn't have to use as they nailed the fit the first time.They also have a "sport" version of the seat that my wife has on her Tiger 900. It doesn't raise the height significantly and is still very comfortable. The seats are definitely not cheap, but for me well worth it.

My Triumph does get blown around on the interstate a bit, but not as much as I expected. It has some pretty decent wind protection, and it is a bit aerodynamic. The wind doesn't beat me up any more than what I experienced on my Heritage. I hope you have some decent riding weather. Be safe!

      @bobbym7481 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @NCStoney I am listening on Pixel 7 with Pixel Buds Pro. Your voice only plays on the left side, but the intro revs played on both so it's definitely in stereo. I turned spatial audio and head tracking off but that didn't change anything. If I remove my left earbud, the right goes mono and I can hear you in the right (down mix). The best I can tell is the stream has your vocal track in the left only and likely doesn't contain extra spatial audio data. I don't upload to TH-cam so I don't know if they process separate audio tracks for different devices or ask for multiple audio streams from the uploader. If it's good on your end, then it's an issue with YT. Hope this helps with troubleshooting. Otherwise it looks like an interesting video that I'll have to finish later away from work.

      @@bobbym7481 I really appreciate you checking on this. It could be the way YT processes GoPro footage, maybe, because the audio is in the same file as the video. But I can separate the audio from the video in editing. I always check my editing software when I render the video to make sure it's clicked on stereo. I'm guessing it's a YT thing, because I get stereo on my laptop (Windows), iPhone and iPad. Thanks again.
