Love my model 12! Absolutely essential for running my sound studio and other analog gear. Love that I can use the mixer live and still record to my DAW (without using daw control mode) and get all my separate tracks. I actually really really like using the ping pong delay on the moog sound studio too… wish I could track that in when I’m using it in mixer mode. Wish it had aux returns too so I didn’t have to sacrifice tracks, but otherwise great piece of kit!

To be honest, I’m a little bit jealous lol but I have a 1010 music bluebox which does almost 80% of it at a tiny footprint. My focus on gear now is smaller footprints and the model 12 is nice but way too big for my purposes nowadays. Enjoy!

I have the bowie edition and seeing they finally did the stylophone beat made me get back to my obssesion in the stytophone syntetizors, and i think seriously geting back into the world and know buy the gen x1 and the beat😅

Love this unit. I bought during Covid lockdowns so our church could setup and stream from home. It’s been working great since then. Now I use it as an interface for my home studio. It’s fantastic. Highly recommend at retail price but if you get it cheaper it’s a total steal.

I got this and I hope they listen to you with an update. Seriously. Especially the strumming bit. I posted about that and was told that was dumb and am glad someone else wants that feature.

Is it really so much because of the sound? People being upset? And if not, - what is it if not another form of price shaming? If you could reproduce the exact materials of the Stradivarius today, - the only people "upset" would be collectors whose stock would be devalued. But even if it could be done, - just by how much would the authentic violin really shed its value, once a certificate of authenticity is obtained? Chances are - it would still be highly sought after. While I don't want to praise Behringer too much, I have my own share of "upsets" with them, - none of these have to do with their cloning practices but things like the organizational form of ADD, and lack of any semblance of punctuality, or their awful treatment of software related issues. In this particular case, it's not just the price that's the factor. It's portability. Something valuable has been added in place of the familiar form factor which is user comfort. And it's up to you what price you want to put on that.

When you are using it as a DAW controller, do the eq and comp, etc... knobs still work? Is there a plugin required or ar you just getting the faders?

USB devices like this controller have to be connected to a USB host, not another device. Your computer acts as a host, and some other synths and midi devices have host ports as well. Usually workstation synths, Akai MPC series and midi interfaces like the iConnectivity Mio series and the Conductive Labs MRCC. If the TempoKey is class compliant it should work with these things over USB.

I have a Keystep 37 that I absolutely love (for many feature reasons, but I especially love the strum feature) though I do sometimes wish it had pads and some faders. I've had an interest in the first version Alesis V25 for it's full size weighted keys

I use one for live shows pretty frequently. My only gripe is that if you want two monitors (AUX 1 and 2) then you can’t also use any effects, since the effects unit is tied to the AUX 2 knob and is only active when nothing is plugged into AUX 2

Ive never been able to work out how to do this in 20+ years of recording with Logic. Im going to have to try your way. Ive got 5 x M32s, 2 DFAMS and a Subharmonicon. All I want is to press Record on Logic and for all these synths sequencers to run and record in perfect time. The only way Ive been able to do it so far is to Tap Tempo each individual unit to the metronome in Logic. Which as you can imagine is very much trial and error. Usually error 😊. This shouldn’t be that difficult but, as I said, Logics sync options have always mystified me 🤷‍♂️ My audio interface only has one USB and Im using that elsewhere so I can only do this with MIDI DIN cables.

So how do you connect them then?
