A jack MIDI out, for having your synths controlled by plants would have made this twice useful. I wonder how the CV out works and if you can patch this thing into the MIDI-in of a synth somehow.

I was I to Moog sounds at the same time as Keith Emerson 😱 but could never afford to buy anything, so I built a maplin 3800 and loved it , sadly I was out of music for a while, sold all my synths for £100 then discovered they had been getting valuable no wonder the guy was excited who bought them 😂 But since I have made a few including a minimoog clone and have some Behringer gear but my favourite is my Little Phatty 🥰

5:38 OK, but how much gain did you have to put on that SM7B? They are notorious for needing strong preamps.

The screwdriver vibrato controls are a bit awkward but otherwise this seems like a neat toy! Thanks for demonstrating it working with the SQ-1 as well cause that's what I was thinking about (I do got plants though) :D

The yamaha o1v96 is pretty awesome and I'm pretty sure it can do all of this...plus even more...probably overkill for some, but I mean it's cheap when you consider it's able to be a 32 channel mixer and also has 12 inserts on board with the ability to have more

Good explanation and nice sound. Unfortunately Mavis can only pitch one octave at a time, so if I play notes on a keyboard and I go over an octave up or down it goes out of tune by up to a semitone. The same with sequences: if the sequence exceeds the range of an octave than the notes are completely out of tune... Do you have a solution for this?

Sounds really great on the subtler end. That detuning thing sounds like what's called "honky tonk" piano on those old Casios.

A CP70 should never be fully in tune, perfection! Even Tim from Keane has said that in a recent interview, and he has 9 of them 😂

I love mine. Only thing I'd change is the ability to set the levels of the drum sounds. Some of them are a bit too loud (e.g. rim shots). All the other suggestions (power supply, MIDI/digital out etc) are valid, but for the price I can see why they're left out.

This why I moved to an Allen & Heath QU-16.

How do you get the sound do I need A speaker to get the sound right....or do I need Head phone...see look I'm hooking up a lot of stuff I have a 24 track. Hook up to a mixer how can I get right sound that I hear
