How many times can you use the feats of savagery forge in a turn? Like if you have enough savagery tokens, could you just max the +1 die three upgrades in a single roll?

Nice review & explanation. I will try this game soon. I will use a house rule however that each player gets his/her healing surge token per scenario.

This is the first DnD board game that I'm getting in the mail tomorrow. As a veteran board gamer and dungeon crawl lover, I'm really looking forward to this! I hear there are plenty of additional BGG scenarios out there, and you can combine this with other DnD sets. Sounds amazing to me!

Your "HATE" explanation video was an AMAZING video and the best one that actually teached me how game was played, something I couldn't find in other popular reviews. Now, World of Warcraft the Miniatures Game is something I am trying to a video about and it's very hard. There's someone selling the game in my country and I cannot find how it is played to make a purchase decsion. I would LOVE to see you making a video about it, if you ever return to TH-cam. Cheers!

Great, honest review. I played the heck out of it, moved on to more complex dungeon crawlers, and then came back to it. At some point the other dungeon crawlers just seemed overly complex by comparison. If I want a dungeon crawler board game that is complex and has tons of rules and fiddly bits, I might as well just play regular D&D. This is the perfect board game dungeon crawler for me.

I assume baby stuff and house projects got in the way, but I hope this channel continues. Fellow Canadian, good sense if humor, into board games, minis, and seems pretty chill -- you def deserve a solid viewerbase.

Good review! Good pacing and editing, all together just a fun watch. It reminded me how much I enjoy the game, and every tempts me to buy the terrain.

I houserule out the encounter card from flipping one every black to flipping every 3 rooms just for some breathing room. The deck is just too aggressive otherwise

Very nice inserts..I ended up tossing most of my boxes away and condenced down to a few megaboss boxes. As nice as the art is, I just needed more room on the shelf!

Such nostalgia. I'm picking up these games slowly too, so far have 4 of the 6 and loving the value. A few simple house rules and they turn into a long multi chapterd campaign!

This is great, but I'd be paranoid that the paint would start getting damaged with the minis just loose in the box like that. Unpainted, this is perfect.

Scars don't stack, the model is dead after getting a second scar.

I'm still reeling at the number of miniatures. I don't typically bother with this sort of game. It's got to be admired regardless. Thanks for the great overview.

I used coloured rubber bases to tell the different factions apart( from Etsy)i also swapped the terrible D6 combat dice for Eleven script dice (from Q Workshop),i also got 3D printed mountains and Settlements/Cities and Strongholds(again off Etsy)and to make set up faster i wrote the number and type of Units in the starting positions on the Board,i now can set up in about 7 mins.

I went all in with HATE, I got EVERYTHING! I really like this game and I have enough stuff to field six players at once (and then some). Any one figure can only have one scar if he gets to place where he would have had two he is killed and loses all his scars and upgrades and resets to neutral. My one issue is that with six armies there is not enough scars to go around and some figures end up not taking any scars by default.

Seems like a box of great resources and if you dont like the exact rules, just modify them to suit....lots of game potential here

What a great vid! loved the way you explained everything and good objectivity at the end. loved the bit with the weighing scales Ha Ha!. I liked that the resource hands were placed in the terrain trees like leaves...nice touch!..and that you put the cardboard tile on top of the plateau terrain...looked really cool...I will definitely be doing that! It is a great game and I love playing it. Cheers!

Awesome review quick and to the point. I think you might have missed one rule that will fix your scar issue. In page 22 in the gaining scars section, it states "If a Figure ever gains a second Scar, that Figure is Killed (discard all of its Scars and Upgrades)".

Have you played enough of them to be able to do a comparison? I'm trying to decide which to get. thanks!

One note on the running out of savagry to end a round: if the player with savegry left makes an attack and the defender rolls savegry on the dice the round wont end! Love the review so excited to play! just got all my guys painted and boy do i "HATE" it!

This makes me want to dig out my copies and play again. I was all into this for a while. I even added painted mini's from Dungeon Command.

Prophet Velen was actually a core piece of one of the meta warbands when there was a tournament scene. Lady Vasj and Jaina were also seeing a lot of play. The Archmage wasn't really a thing, and I don't think the Horde epics from that set were played much either.
