Your roses look tired? Cut them back
There was no reason to not start over with these David Austin roses. Our weather this summer was extremely humid and rained more than normal. We really should have been on top of preventative care. In our New England climate it’s a must if you want your roses to look good. I decided to just work on the David Austin’s but they all required a bit of maintenance except the Kordes Roses and True Bloom roses

GERANIUMS HAVE ARRIVED
มุมมอง 4358 หลายเดือนก่อน
It’s a must that geraniums have to be split up in the trays in a checkerboard pattern so they get plenty of space and airflow. Geraniums don’t like high humidity so since we can’t always control the moisture in a greenhouse we also put them on flood benches so they receive water from the bottom. It’s so much better than watering them overhead.
MAKING NESTS WITH WIRE VINE STEMS
มุมมอง 508 หลายเดือนก่อน
An easy project for Easter or any nature inspired decor for your home. Wire vine ( Muehlenbeckia axillaris)) is fast growing so you’ll have plenty to work with in no time, or you can just purchase a larger plant to start with.

Hi! Hello I have a Q? how many weeks takes you to form the topiaries? Thanks!
I start them in the fall and can sell them in late spring but they’re not large. They really need a good year to form a nice shaped sphere.
Why you cover it?!
Keep the moisture in for faster rooting
So cute!!
the background noise isn't the problem. it"s your voice
Thank you
Tq tips
Cool! I've got miles of wire vine! Great idea!
I wish more places did this. I went shopping for hanging baskets and they were already so overgrown
Super cute ❤
It’s easy, when plant is that full 🤷🏻♀️
true but when it starts to get mature then it may be too late to trim parts out without leaving big gaps.
Good Job! How did you know this little tree would get no taller? What kind of tree would you use in cold climates?
Keeping the tree trimmed in the top to stop it from growing upwards. These can be planted in the ground to zone 5. In a pot they wouldn’t survive outside unless it was zone 7 or higher
Thank you, I'll start doing this with the wires. Your compost looks very different to mine, please can you tell me how you make it up for propagation x
Nice
Pq cortar as florzinha??
So it can spend energy on producing roots and stems for more flowers
im nervous
Maynard - is there someone I can send a picture of my two lemon cypress - total noob here and have not pruned in two year and they going nuts.
Just take it slow and trim just a bit at a time
Very cool!
That's a string of pearls, not string of hearts
I know I can’t change the text once uploaded. The title says it’s string of pearls
Yes you are right
Are these the same lemon cypress you find during the holidays? I just got two and wondering if mine will grow as big as yours. Loving your topiary
Yes it’s the same kind. They’re not cold hardy so you have to keep them in a greenhouse. We keep this one at no less than 40f at night. They’re thirsty plants so don’t allow them to dry out. Transplant them but gradually into a larger pot
@@maynardgreenhouse thanks for the reply! I appreciate it. I want to train mine like yours.
Spooktacular 🐈⬛👀🐈⬛
Awesome Halloween decor🐈⬛🎃👀🎃🐈⬛
thank you
Do I have to cut them? Or can I just wrap them up from the existing plant?
I cut them. I suppose you could attach from the existing plant but that’s harder
Nice New friend
I would love to see it now, seven months later!
That is awesome! Do new strands potentially grow from each pearl?
Yes
Thank you. What wood did you use for topiary?
I do not like it to be cut I want it just a clasic tree
Kindly advise me, I have 3 20 years old cypress trees. I want them to be more thick ( dense).
Good job!
Beautiful plants!

U are doing a great job,I'm your new friend
Amazing..👍👍 thanks for sharing.🙏🇮🇩💝💝💝
Did the bulbs come up and bloom?
They came up beautifully. They were later than the others but that was probably because they were later varieties. I do remember them lasting a long time. I just planted some more last week in the same general area.
@@maynardgreenhouse Thank you. That's encouraging 😀
I did the same in January, growing lile crazy, put bone meal for the boost it works
