First clip : it's not a B787, it is a B777. On the B777, each gear has 2 rows of 3 wheels (where the 787 has 2 rows of 2 wheels).

There is no such thing as “extreme low vis” so please stop using this stupid sentence, low vis ops start at 1500m RVR at which point depending on airport capability CAT 2/3 lighting and runway protected areas are in force as well as larger spacing between arrivals, CAT 1 requires 600 M RVR or 550m with high intensity centreline lighting spaced at 15m and a decision height of 200’ above threshold based on barometric altimeter, CAT2 requires 300m or more in the case of a manual landing with a decision height of 100’ Radio Altitude, CAT 3A requires 200m and a decision height of 50’ and must be flown as an autoland, CAT3B requires 75m and no decision height (unless operating to French rules where a mini decision height of 25’ is in force), all CAT3B approach’s can only be flown by fail operational aircraft such that a single system failure would not mandate a go around below 100’ radio altitude.

Great video! I spent a bit over 8 years flying the 76/75 for Delta. I went to the 73 as captain in '03 so it's been a while. The subject 75 used alternate gear extension due to a hydraulic problem. Alternate extension works fine but doesn't retract the body doors. I don't think he had any tire problems as mentioned, but the spoiler deployment was slow.

The plane didn’t “…go into a sudden nosedive”. The pilot over-corrected; PUTING the plane in an excessive nose-down attitude and destabilizing his approach which required a go-around.

Classic PIO, poor training or currency.

C-17 uses “reverse thrusters”. WTF…. No. It used reverse thrust……. There are no “thrusters”. The C-17 is not a space craft.

I fly Gliders and it is obvious that pilot does not. He got into a PIO? and just panicked and let the plane fly him. Some left rudder would have gone a long way?

Yeah that glider was bad, so much over controlling the pitch, yet nothing on the rudder. Should have gone around 😉

That JAL balked landing was badly flown. The approach wasn’t much better either with too much pilot input on the elevators.
