After upgrading the tyres to ROADCRUZA RA1100,we took the jimny for further testing the full articulation of solid axles with the wider tyres installed.Particularly checking for rubbing and scraping issues, which surprisingly do not exist. The Jimny was put on a slippery offroad slope and tyre's grip was checked.overall these tyres are a huge satisfying upgrade to take the vehicle to it's full po...

To engage 4H you don't have to set the main gear to neutral; it is on the ply shiftable!
Hi,your imformation is correct. But this one instatnce while uphill offroading i put my jimny in 2H fron 4H And inspite of that my front wheels remained engaged. They only disengaged after i neutralized my gearbox.Hence this imformation. I Have concluded from my personel experience that 2H to 4H on the go can be done while the vehicle is in a constant speed. When stationery it takes time to engage or disengage. Regards
I am hooked with your channel now due to the articulations . Kindly confirm fo we need to change the default rims to install 235 section AT tyres along with lift kit?
Hi.Thanx for the words of appreciation, We can install 235s with the stock rims and alloys.it can be managed with it.it's even better with lift kit installed.Thanx for tuning in.
Can u share video which explains offloading with automatic jimny .... I feel challenge with automatic then manual ... lastly the way you explained in the video is very commendable
Well explained! Thank you.
225/70 best tyre size for Jimny
Did you cut the bumper to avoid rubbing?
Hi,thanx for tuning in. Yes the bumper has a small useless rubber extension which one can get rid of to avoid the rubbing issues. That is all. The look of the bumper is not affected in any manner.Regards
A 5 minute video painfully dragged on for 15 minutes.
Do you get any rubbing at the front on full turns? Like having the steering at full lock at each side?
Thank you
Very well explained!💯

Mark my words when I say this.. until now I dint see anyone explaining a 4x4 in such a simple way... nice content... you got a new subscriber... Though I love Jimny I still prefer Hyundai Venue only bcz of 2 things 1. Creature comfort 2. Milage... Jimny is a very good car but the base zeta is still expensive on road... if maruti can set their alpha at 15lak on road n base @ 12lak, then jimny ll sell like hot cake..
Nice review , what size tyre do u have on the std 5.5j rims
The stabilizer reduce the suspension flex droop maybe a set of disconnectabel stabilizer links can help for more flex. Flex=Traction.
Very good, clear as crystal explanation of the 4wd System and dash ntification lights. I drove my new 5 door XL Jimny home today. Great video.
i am getting apollo apterra 235 . Shall i change exchange my 215 yokohama to them ? will there be any issue?
Hi,thanx for tuning in.The 215 size is the most perfect one can have for jimny. This size will not rub under extreme scenarios. After extensive testing we have observed that under full passenger and luggage load the 235 does rub onto the wheel arches. However the 235 is visually very appealing, but the downside is it rubs when articulated to extreme.People are happy with the 215s they have installed,if you have it you keep it simple.
First learn to drive a 4x4 then review it...
Hi.if you have something of better value please illustrate it.Or else do not try to showdown our efforts of simple explantion for the rest enthusiasts. Better not preach knowledge with your own empty cup of experience. Regards.
What if there is heavy luggage in the boot and a couple of friends in the car? I think the tyre will rub against the body during the articulation. Maybe this tyre is only good if you're solo in the jimny with not too much luggage 😊
Hi,thanx for tuning in In such scenarios of heavy luggage and full passenger load, these tyres do get rubbed. The safest option to install are the 215s.with the 235 onwards you would require a lift kit for sure. When riding solo, the tyres don't rub at all. REGARDS
Hi, what do u say about the Apollo 225/70, how is this tyre as compared to stock or the 235
Hi.the size 225/70 is a good size.as compared to the stock its a better tyre ofcourse and a must buy too.you will be happy.235 is a bigger n heavier tyre which comes with a better aesthetic appeal.225 is good go for it
@RoadsOfTheMountains Thks for Yr prompt reply
What about wobble?
Hi,jimny's wobble is very well contained. No jerks are felt on the steering.Thanx fpr stopping by.
Hi! Great video! Where can i buy side door protections like yours?
Hi.Thanx for the kind words. In India these side protections are sold as a Genuine accessory from Maruti Suzuki.
@@RoadsOfTheMountains Thanks a lot!!
Thank you ❤ i learned properly.
Glad it could deliver knowledege properly.Thanx.
Good detailed video.
Thankyou for the kind words.
খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভিডিও I
Nice 😊
Thanx for the appreciation.Regards
Amazing video and explanation. It is not easy to imagine how much trougble / effrort would have gone into making a video of this type. Great job!
Should we use 4H on ghat road for climbing hair pin bends and steep inclines on good tarmac ghat roads?
Hi,Tarmac roads do not call for the application of 4H.2H should easily cross challenging inclines on nicely paved tarmac roads. But if it is slippery, muddy or there is loss of traction on roads one should use 4 H without hesitation. Snowy and muddy situations require 4 H the most.
Not extreame articulation .235 touch almost on every considerable bump on the road.215 is best if u dont want any problems
I am using Yokohama 215/75R 15 AT with airpressure of 28 in all tyres of Jimny automatic Yesterday, I took the vehicle in the hills for the first time & to my surprise...I found the car was jerky on Road whereas it was settling properly while passing through path holes or rough terrain on slow speeds . As a driver I felt a lot of body roll on corners in hills & was afraid as if the vehicle may get unstable on corners. I was driving solo & without any luggage. There are no other alterations done in the vehicle..I mean no weight additions apart from tyres upgradation. Can you pl suggest solution to this ... should I reduce the tyre pressure further from 28 while driving in hills.
Greetings Amit,Jimny has got a suspension set up which is on a softer side, which helps it in absorbing all the rough offroad patches. But jimny behaves differently on metalled road potholes.Due to both front and back solid axles and ladder on frame construction it behaves differently under such paved potholes. The solution is to tune down your psi to 26 or even 25. I often drive mine on 24 psi and the ride is then very cushioned and the effect of potholes is reduced.i suggest trying 26 psi. And ya one needs to be careful while cornering but jimny is decently stable on curves.
thank you dear for a nice illustration..
Hi,thanx for the kind aporeciation.Hope it helped ,Regards
I'm not sure I understand - have you fitted a lift kit in this video or are you running with the standard height?
Hi ,i am running with the standard height here,no lift kit has been installed.
Very useful.. specially for off road laymen like myself. Thanks.
Hi,much appreciate your kind motivation.Regards
Can we use 4H on a wet tarmac road for better traction?
Hi,You wont get any huge advantages out of a 4 H on wet tarmac,if it is a wet muddy road definitely yes you get use out of 4H.otherwise it is not really rquired on wet tarmac.AWD equipped vehicles get constant torque vectoring which helps them on wet tatmac to go through situations very intelligently.Jimny is plain n simple, use 4H only when required.
@@RoadsOfTheMountains Thanks for the clariification. I will try and share one vlog for a popular offroader from AUS.
To switch to 4L, do i need to stop the engine too?
Hi,No You don't have to stop your engine at all.just Neutralize the drivetrain i.e put the car in neutral. You will just be fine.Thanx
Some great video shots and pleasant music plus some nice food equals a great video overall! Is that tofu or paneer? Which pepper is that? First time I'm seeing an Indian video of this kind that featured chop sticks! Also, where is this road?
Well explained. I only recently picked up my Jimny and was considering driving straight to a tyre dealer to trade in the stock Duelers for a set of Geolandar A/T tyres in size 215/75R15. However, I decided to use my stock tyres until I wear them out. I don't want to mess with the warranty, least of all while the car is still new. I hear that the Jimny is still quite capable with the stock tyres so I might as well use them. By the way, I noticed the HP plates. I recently rode to Narkanda and saw more Jimnys in Himachal on that one trip than I have seen in Noida since this car was launched! The Gypsy was really popular in HP so perhaps it is natural that the Jimny would be too.
Hi,thanx for the appreciation.Congrats for the jimny you own.The stock tyres are the most comfortable ones, only in mud and snow one can realize it's shortcomings.Mind it the stock tyres are also M+S rated, they are decently capable.215s are the most hassle free upgrades. Yup jimny's are very capable, nimble and compact which is why Himachal loves them. The legacy of the gypsy king continues.wish you many happy miles on your jimny.Regards.
@@RoadsOfTheMountains Thank you! By the way, because of your articulate presentation, I subscribed to your channel right after I watched this video. I will check out your other videos soon. Cheers!
You can not sell a bad product by any amount of false propaganda.
Hi,Your words clearly illustrate the confusion you have built up in your mind regarding the purpose of this video. This is a clear explanation of the jimny's 4x4 system. For the folk who own it,this video has been helping them out.Nowhere this is a false propoganda, not in anyways this video was designed to boost sales of jimnys.Thanx
Please tell me which camera you use and its equipments
Hi,the camera used here is a insta 360 x3 With a modified delkin fat gecko tripple mount.
If you want bigger tires.. lift it up
Hi,thanx for the suggestion.plans of a lift kit are underway.Regards
Super boss. Well explained. Keep it up
Hello sir thanx for the kind appreciation. It's a great deal of motivation for us.
2hiLL 4HILL 4LARGE
what about the engine power? 1.5L enough to carry the added weight?
The engine power is decent enough for the 235,however the power shortage does get more noticeable, but it still more than manages to keep up to it's pace.
I am learning on my new jimny, thanks a ton
Glad this could help. Many happy miles to go.
What tyres are those mate?
Greetings,The tyres being used here are Roadcruza RA 1100. 235/75/R15
Thanking you@@RoadsOfTheMountains
what place did you film this video ??
Hi,this was shot in Himachal
did you have any lift kit installed? if yes how much? thanks
Hi,Till now no lift kit has been used. However a lift of 2 inches is sufficient and effective enough .Thanx
You need a lift kit, suspension upgrade, a new brake line for the rear and a slight adjustment on the front cross member as it will rub with the drive shaft after the lift. That's it you're good to hit the road. Any road, with those profile of of tires.
Nice content 👍 I own a 3 door Jimny JB74. It's rolling on 235/70R 16 BF Goodrich and there is no scrubbing at all. The car have a 50 mm liftkit from Trailmaster. The stock front bumper has been cut in the button, but only very little. If you want to upgrade to bigger wheels, you gotta install a liftkit.
Great car, wonderful music and nature what more is there. I cant wait for mine to arrive. Which tyre should i upgrade to 215 or 235? Regards from Nagaland.
Thank you for that clear, detailed explanation. I have driven a gypsy for the last 7years and I never knew about the 4h and 4l. Ihave just placed my order for the jimny. This was definitely informative. Thank you. Will upgrading the tyre of the jimny effect the car in any way?
