You sped through “died at housing prices protest” pretty quickly. Sounds pretty terrible.

What is the point, Mr Kelly is a mediocre writer..and its plain to see hé is trying to make Peter give up on MaryJane in fear of her dying. If she does get free of that mass murderer Paul by the grace of the mighty God Lowe. Peter is probably going to reject her. The all new Venom shows trouble brewing between MaryJane and Paul. In the reboot Paul will probably be the villain or Venom.

I saw this in Previews and had to have my LCS get it. The art alone sold me. Stardust the Super Wizard is prime for a comeback. You could do an "Uncanny Valley" feeling he gives everyone with his overly manly appearance.

Too hard on the title. Let go of the superman you are familiar with, try to forget everything you know about him, and accept this for what it is. It will be better for it

Officially off my pull list. I can’t imagine absolute Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in the same room. This is going to take years to get anywhere.

I found it to be a nice self-contained story with a fun ending. This could be a setup issue for a future story where the fake Nick Fury is finally able to outsmart them. That being said, it doesn't have to be a setup for anything. It could be just what it is: a one-shot story about ultimate "Nick Fury"; nothing more, nothing less. I got a kick out of it so I'm cool with it.

4:32 hopefully it means that the Peter Parker of Earth 616 disappears and Miles takes the mantle of The Amazing Spider-Man.

Love these characters but once I saw Steve fox on it, I walked away

I was never a fan of Green Lantern but the comic run by Jeremy Adams made me go a collect all 18 issues. This is the way comics should be written developing a story with multiple characters giving them a unique voice and identity to the story. You’re 100% right about the tie-in with Absolute Power. It killed the momentum of the story and cut short the development for some of the characters. Great review like always. 🔥🙌🏻

This is garbage

The Christmas family meet up is the perfect way to get character set up and development out of the way by introducing the sister the mom etc. what else do people do around Xmas then get together and sludge through Xmas with family, great issue well done whether boring or not such is life and a great way to get all that done and out of the way with this setting.

Late to the party just saw the second issue a few days ago and man it has its moments ... this book is decent so far I wouldn't want 12 issues of it tho.. it has a cinematic feel to this like it is only required a 2 hr type story im on this with Gabe... you aced this episode as always champ

I have to say, im already loving ultimate venom, like its super creepy thanks to being an uncanny AI dupe of Peter, but since ultimate Peter is accepting of it so far unlike his main universe self he's here acting as one of the good guys. Its helping the family out in its own way by making sure Peter isn't noticeably missing at important events, following on from its earlier conversation with Peter about keeping it at home to protect his family when he's not around.

It couldve been executed in a more interesting way. Have peter and harry fight kraven while the fam are having the party and flip back in forth. Good action and good family drama at the same time. This issue is a skip like issue 10

Key is patience

I really enjoy the more character focused ones. This one wasn’t my favorite, but I still liked it and it kept me engaged throughout. That ending though; that brought it up from a 7 to an 8 for me. I was not predicting that at all. I do appreciate your point of view, though. If you want action in every issue, this might not be the book for you, and that’s okay. If you enjoying seeing Peter and his supporting cast getting to have some semblance of a normal, everyday life (for once), with some great art and dialogue, this series is a must read.

Big fan of Hickman. But it should be Called Ultimate Uncle Ben.....There have been 2 or more issues in the years run in which spider-man doesn't appear or there is very little of him appear. A spider-man book without spider-man isn't going to sustain a readership at such a cost. At about $5 a book; so far it's cost $60 with zero pay off and a distinct lack of the title character. Good review.

I think this review is a perfect example of the “different strokes for different folks” idea. Am I interested in what’s going to happen when The Maker returns? Sure! But the selling point of this to me personally was always, “Peter Parker: Family Man”. It was the main thing they used to promote the book. In fact, the best stuff in my opinion has been the moments between Peter and his family. So in this issue I loved getting more insight into this universe’s Mary Jane. She feels like more of a fleshed out character now. I will admit that the cover had me excited for a Spidey saves Christmas scenario. But I was quickly won over by the writing and especially that cliffhanger.

I sold 10 copies of the ultimate wolverine variant cover. That was the point of this issue.

It’s preparing you for the huge letdown and waste of time and money that will be the maker’s return

I have not received my copy yet..something about holiday troubles and delivery scheduling. So i have not been able to read it yet. I can only say, i love this. Sure i understand this is not what people want if you are looking for mindless non stop action with bad story and mediocre art people have Asm for that. Action can also be great story and good plot developing. Which i think this Usm book falls in. I'm a bit dissapointed myself because i really thought we would get Kraven attack the Parker household. But i guess next issue. And i totally understand if people are getting tired of all this stalling. I'm not one of them i prefer good story over bad. Sorry its not up to your or other peoples standards. But Asm is really unreadable..this is hamlet..i'd say. Thank you for revieuwing.
