Just ahead of the snow storm in Alabama I went to #harborfreight and picked up this portable power station. This is a quick overview but stick around, in a few weeks I'll give a full review and my opinion. For the first test I tried to power my #traegergrill, stick around till the end to see how it worked. Taurus G3C first impression and review!!!!!

I was in the market for an affordable small carry gun and I settled on the Taurus G3C. Honestly, for years I have been against buying a Taurus because I mistakenly thought they were poor quality. So far I am impressed! This is a sweet little shooter. Thanks for watching!! Please like share and subscribe!! The views in this video are mine and mine alone. I purchased this pistol myself. I got my first gun, a Taurus G3C T.O.R.O. in 9mm from Rural King during Black Friday sales in 2024. After tax it was $240, and then I filled out a mail in rebate from Taurus for $50 back. So, my gun will be like $190 with 3, 12 round mags. I took the money I saved and bought some Lakeline upgrades, like the steel striker guide, gold threaded barrel with a micro compensator, and the gold steel recoil spring assembly. Still coming in under $500 total for the gun. I dig it. There's still a few upgrades I would like, like some taller iron sights to cowitness through my green dot, magazine grip extenders, a textured grip cover, and a new trigger from Keep Tinkering.

    I have had my sub compact G2c since around 2018 and its still going strong. Accurate and reliable well over 600 rounds. Can't beat it for right around $200. Best tax refund I ever spent. The G series are proven pistols. Lately I have been digging my Taurus 856 +P Defender three inch six shot snub revolver but quite a bit more money double at around $400. Two inch 856 runs about $350. I think the Heritage Arms Roscoe classic blued five shot snub either two or three inch has a street price of around $300. Thanks for sharing.

      @@TRP_Outdoors I have had a PT92, two Model 85s (the Heritage Arms Roscoe is just a renamed Model 85), still have the G2c, and now the 856 all from Taurus. Never had any problems with any of them. I did some DIY fixing to the factory adjustable sights on the G2c to my liking and added some elastic hair bands to the mags to stop them rattling but that is it. None of that was necessary though. I have also had a Beretta 92 and prefer the PT92 over it.

      @rbm6184 did you have any issues with the mag followers? I mentioned it in the video and I'm assuming it just needs to get broken in. Just curious what your experience is

    • @rbm6184
      @rbm6184 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@TRP_Outdoors No I haven't had any problems with mag followers but its not unusual with new mags and parts that need to loosen up with wear. Its why I like to get at least 200 rounds through any new gun. 500 rounds is better. Most problems will show up in the first 100 rounds and to a lesser extent up to 500. If the mag continues to be a problem then just get a new mag.

    If you actually read the complete instructions on how to assemble and use BEFORE you attempt to use and practice with it at low levels you should have no problems. I am 76 and have been using the Summit climber, along with tree saddles, since my late 30's and never had a mishap. All straps, ropes and harnesses came with mine and used properly they work flawlessly with no mishaps.

    Thanks for the video. I'm in the same boat as you. I've been hunting a few years now, but have always been able to go on private land with elevated box blinds. But I've lost access to that land. Take this advice. Go to third hand archery and order you some stabilizer straps and you won’t regret it . They will lock the top and bottom tightly to the tree plus keeps you from accidentally dropping the bottom . They also take the place of the strap to nest it together. I been using a summit for years and these straps make a world of difference.

    • @TRP_Outdoors

      @@TRP_Outdoors The third hand archery ones are a must have. You won't need the tether strap if you use the 3rd hand archery ones. They also have a very good bow holder which will allow you to climb with your bow in the holder.

    I had a Summit Viper years ago and it was ok but loud and clunky. Since then it's been either a regular 1.5 man tree stand or slowly getting used to my saddle. Id scrap that stupid tree wrap tether and get a lifeline, that way if something goes wrong up there you can still get down. A lifeline with a Prusik knot is super easy to move up and down and inches tight if something happens.
