IOTA TALK: The Rebel Saint: Saint Maria of Paris | Paul Ladouceur
Saint Maria of Paris is one of the most remarkable orthodox personalities in modern times. She shatters, perhaps, many preconceived ideas of what we might expect a saint to be. This presentation contains photographs and maps, and provides an overview of the many facets of her astonishing life, from her birth in Riga, Estonia to her death in the Nazi concentration camp in Ravensbruck, Germany.

This talk will explore ways to integrate girls (and boys) in our liturgical celebration. We are all called to actively participate in the liturgical expression of the Church. My presentation will be based on my own conviction that by actively participating in our communal celebration, we not only learn about the liturgy, but we are able to encounter and grow in our relationship with God and our...

Thank you so much for this work, Dr. Frost. I'm 9 minutes in and finding it difficult to listen to the church fathers speak of the Theotokos by assessing her virginity during birth the way modern men objectify and assess women -- I'll need to pause my listening, but I hope to finish the lecture sometime soon. Thank you again. Michelle

Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Rom 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. We who have been begotten again through the Spirit of God, are the blessed "brethren" of the "firstborn".

No documentation, no quotes, not even first hand source material. I'm glad he was able to present a politically leftist essay, sponsored by ecumenists and coastal Californians. He wrote all that from merely reading key words on the back cover of Dugin's works? But he hasn't read or understood that Eurasianism is anti-liberal first and foremost, after that it is anti-extremist. These are the tools of preserving an actually complex, non-homogenous society long term such that helpful traditions can remain instead of being deconstructed by ecumenists and liberals. Eurasianists are only at odds with the West because the West is politically run by godless liberal extremists. Shameful work from IOTA

This is brilliant! An “internalized apocalypticism” (and even viewing Paul as a “merkavah mystic”) honors the Jewish roots of the faith found in apocalyptic literature, while also celebrating the central Christian revelation of “Christ in us”! As someone who grew up being taught the overly literal dispensational folk religion of Darby, I can’t express how much I appreciate an approach to apocalyptic literature (in particular, the book of Revelation) that honors the Christian mystical roots of Origen and others. And thus as the stone of the dead letter is rolled away, we can experience the Spirit of the Word released from the tomb. A transfiguration of the Word for those ascending the mountain of maturity. Where a “new covenant” is once again embraced as we become able ministers of the Spirit, not the letter! For the great revelation (apocalyptic unveiling) of Scripture is Christ in us. And thus as the old self is overthrown, Christ can take his rightful seat upon the throne of our lives. Or as St Pseudo-Macarius and Archbishop Golitzin make gloriously evident, the soul is ultimately unveiled as the chariot throne of God! Yes, yes, yes!!!

Who is to say that YOUR VIEW on Orthodoxy is the true Orthodoxy???? Are you not doing the same thing you are accusing the Greek Orthodox of doing ? We LOVE our Greek orthodox faith and do not judge anyones faith unlike you .Please leave the Greek Orthodox church alone and find a church that you can relate to like your views instead of trashing our churches. We do not need to be one Orthodoxy based on a few peoples views Why not just focus on Christ and learn from HIS WORD NOT YOURS .Also i am Greek Orthodox i dont judge other churches. .This whole discussion put me to sleep .Focus on your soul your time here is precious and here is where your actions will determine where your soul wil go .

These arguments are not biblical. The reason why Christians find these arguments from natural theology compelling is because they are regenerated and have been given eyes to properly interpret the creation through the Special Revelation of Scripture. Isn’t it ironic that the passages proponents of NT always cite like Psalm 19 and Acts 17 for example, are found in Scripture, but they are not arguments from natural theology? These passages presuppose the existence of the biblical God. I don’t think suspicion arises just because Roman Catholics use NT but because Romans 1:21 teaches that everybody already know that true and living God, not a generic “god” who is the “prime mover.” also Swinburne admits that these arguments lead one to a high level of probability… Seriously, is the mere probability of God’s existence truly biblical?

Look for God and live!! Read the Holy Bible for answers and consolatian, the New Testament in it for the Gospel. Pray God for forgiveniss of your sins through the powerful work of His Son Jesus Christ. Amen 🙏 De Son of God Jesus Christ suffered for the sinners given Him from His Father, not for everybody. Mercy is a gift of God Himself. The Gospel reminds you to send people to Christ at first!! Only by Christ you can find mercy. There is only one almighty Trinity God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and no more. When you have God, you have everything for time and eternity both. When you do not have Him, you are doomed for ever.

Yours was a much needed point of view, Dr. Frost, an effective antidote to our tendency to lapse into a docetism, forgetful of what it means to be fully human and fully divine in an unconfused and unmixed way as the councils declared. The same needed corrective holds for the Blessed (fully human) Mother of God.
