Unfortunately for the Alpine, the new Renault 5 looks so much better resolved as an overall design. So much better! All Renault need to do is bring back the famous Renault 5 Turbo name, with this performance, and non would even look at the car, not even once. And I reckon they actually will do just that!
Beautiful car but needs acceleration of 4-5 seconds at that pricing level. No doubting fhe looks and handing! The custom wheels & Michelin tyres.
We love this build!
Petrol version please !!!
Completely agree, would definitely consider it as my next car if they had a petrol version!
So pleased that they've captured the hot hatch essence in terms of handling and power. The original 5 Turbo was at odds with my style since I prefer flatish torque and smooth elegant lines looks wise, so I'm interested in the torque delivery. Styling wise I don't like it and I think that it will age badly. Is the range figure a result of being driven hard on public roads ? Hope that you can switch the fake sounds off. The gamification (0-60 challenge) has the potential to get them into trouble PR wise. Reusing the model number is pretty irrelevant to me, but if they're going to, then it makes sense for it to be a similar size and style. It always good to hear from VBH
Six cylinder Porsches do not make noise. They create a sound, a beautiful sound.
Clarkson looks well
☎️🚑🧓
I gotta say Ime I didn't think it works in Europa with small roads, bicycles and pedestrians. It takes the whole road, including bicycle path. Very hard to park too. On the highway, with plenty of space, this is where it shines. In comfort, space and seating. Probably more suited to the US.
wow nice, your enthusiasm and spirit Vicky resulted in immediate subscription ❤ LESS IS MORE: This car looks as fun as can be 🥳 but would be nice with even some more power and 4 wheel drive 🤔
It's quite nice in that spec but those 'Xs' on the front are a no-no. Great review as ever.
Yeah, they do seem to be quite a controversial feature. I think they've actually grown on me, but I don't know if it's just because I've looked at them too many times 🤷♀️
I love Vicky and not the Ferrari
I think Vicky might have reached a higher level herself there revving it to 11k 😁
The only real problem with this car is the in no way is it better than the outgoing model except range. No faster, less efficient, worse handling, uglier inside and out. The list goes on. With a blank canvas, they really should have designed a better car than the previous model. At only 100kg less than a model 3, yep you heard right, this is a porker of a mini. Very sad to see. It drives well compared to the contemporary competition, however it is a shadow of the f56 se. Very sad.
I like the color
That’s not a hot hatch! It looks like a suv
So for you the bmw x5 50e is a better car, as per driving, engine and every day use, is it right?
Please remove the very irritating music throughout !
Once awhile, we want style with a bit retro design in front end
This is like the iconic F40 and how Porsche (and Ferrari for that matter) should be building at least one of their models. Just a pure driving machine.
Lacks engine soundtrack. That silence is eerie.
I had a 5 GT TURBO back in the day. That was the true hot hatch era. I can still remember grinning ear to ear as it lifted the outside rear wheel during hard cornering. Happy days, indeed 😊
Vicky is looking so lovely again . Wow
Hmm. If I can afford it, that car is mine. 😎
yep our next car thanks Renault/Alpine ,our Golf R, 23 plate is getting binned the most annoying car I have ever had!!! Said we would never go electric but cant wait and what a colour!!!!
28 miles to empty …that’s sad …they did not give u quarter of a tank ?😂
Had 2 R5ts back in the day, use to go round corners on 3 wheels. and the rear windows would drop out for a pass time. BUT i am sorely tempted to order a new EV. There doesn't seem to be one bad review on TH-cam.
Just another SUV, slightly less bad than that garbage Urus.
Meh.
Light weight flywheel loses a lot of revs between gear changes. Need to double gas when changing up.
I'm not crazy about the shape of the front arches. But I LOVE the flax fiber plenum and runners, and dash insert. Just gorgeous.
Nothing but smiles and a sick feeling I miss my 930!
The engine sounds sweet. Its like a symphony being played by a boxer engine
In russia most people forget about BMW, Porsche, mercedes using zeekr, cherry , haval ...ect
How is possible place russian flag colours on car name bage????
Rste hombre no,, vale nada de nad cuando.. soluciones rstr io Mándalo hacer gárgaras. Fuera flojo..😊
This is what I've been screaming for years for more manufacturers to make. A back to basics sports car where there is nothing more to remove and very little to add to make it the perfect daily driver. Oh, I especially love the fact that it isn't running really wide and paper thin rubber, those chunky sidewalls with the thinner tread just makes it look so dainty going around the corners. EDIT: Ok, I just got to the price tag... Ouch.
She will never walk alone.
For an EV, it looks quite good. Pays homage to the old school Renault 5. But we really have lost our way in terms of small, cheap, fun cars. We used to get small, lightweight, simple cars with a zippy engine and an engaging manual gearbox. Take the 106 GTi, Clio 182 etc for example. Now we get these heavy, tech ridden cars with little sole or emotion. This by no means me slating this car, it’s just sad that times are changing 😢
Crazy good cars
Nice, but overkill on the heated screen. Poor passenger
This review was far to positive .. where were the negatives.....it's like a promotion.. me thinks
