SPIDERLINGS of the Rain Spider
มุมมอง 7321 วันที่ผ่านมา
I was lucky to observe heaps of teeny spiderlings of a Rain Spider coming and going from an egg sac on my patio. I noticed something very interesting when I was observing them; they would all be inside the egg sac when it was not raining but each time it rained, they would all come out and climb up the web onto the ceiling. I guess they must sense the humidity in the air. #interestingfacts #spi...

demon from mononoke
Can i eat them perchance?
At your own risk!
The wasp kills a hopper?
They paralyze the hopper and the larvae feed off it.
Very cool 👌
They are very cool. They were making their burrows where there was an outbreak of brown locust hoppers that were newly hatched. Clever to make a burrow where there is plenty of food hopping around.
I'll never eat another Slim Jim without seeing this image.
Lol, that's so funny!
😅
Super interesting, thanks Lynette. Wonder how many survived
They all dispersed, so not sure. I think a lot get eaten by the Cape Dwarf Geckos there and birds.
These look like Lekgolos from Halo. Lekgolos = Hunter Worms = Hunter Without their Armor
Spitting cobra
Similar to a cobra and closely related.
Now somebody lay in the front...
They look like hot dogs on the move!
What is its general size?
Their body length is between 14 - 19 mm.
@@amazingnatureupclose Спасибо!
Adorable bee and great photos!
Thanks!
Nope.
school water tank
Let these Herbivores pass i used to hold millipedes in my hand they curl up and do no harm
They are totally harmless. I used to also pick them up and watch them curl into a coil shape.
The old moldy pack of hot dogs in my fridge gaining sentience and moving on to find greener pastures
LOL! That is SO funny!
When hotdogs are so old they deside to leave
Hilarious!
もののけ姫のタタリ神みたい…
That's funny!
I remember seeing pictures of worm swarm moving like flood on reddit. They said it's called "Pleń" in poland
These were swarming because they had recently hatched after some good rains after a very dry spell.
UwU
Lovely, I didn’t know we had so many kinds!
These are only a few of them. There a some more that I didn't include because I have never photographed them.
A herd of wild glizzies
That's funny!
I've never seen a snake moving like a caterpillar before
These Puff Adders are short and fat and normally very slow moving but this one moved faster than I had seen them do before.
It’s criminal that your videos don’t have way more views. I’d like to see what you could do if your videos paid for themselves. Solid, uncommon content
Thanks so much for the compliment. This is a newish channel that I started. I try and share them in insect/invertebrate groups on Facebook but they don't get many views and don't seem to get into the algorithm. Not sure what else I can do to get them seen. My other main channel is about birds and it took me 5 years to get monetized and it is not a large channel, 6500 subscribers only but then my content is mainly about southern African birds.
thank you, good content!
Glad you liked it!
Ringbum Millipede Muncher Ants
Now that’s how you name a species
I have a video of ringbum millipeded muncher ants dragging a millipede along the ground. Amazing how strong those large ants are. Will try and find the link for you.

Lovely! You’re so lucky to have a garden with many flowers and insects 😮
Yes I am very lucky. After some good rains, my garden is full of flowers and insects, even though we are entering autumn now.
Really love your content. So calming, no agenda, no cruel message, just peaceful, knowledgeable and passionate. Hope you're having a great day and look forward to seeing more videos 🙂
Thank you so much! I love nature, so I'm glad that you also find my nature videos calming. There is nothing better than spending time outdoors in nature.
MILLI(STAM)PEDE!!!!! These millipedes are so cute! They are little long tanks and their heads look like melancholic dreamers. 😅
Lovely discription of them!
Hey! Nile perch might eat those pedes for dinner. Belch!!!
The rumbling
The cute version 😊
XD
Hey, as long as it ain't centipedes, let the little guys crawl.
Yip, millipedes are totally harmless.
@@amazingnatureupclosenot totally Some of them can secrete irritants But overall yeah, far more preferable than painful bites
I hear that. Millipedes are chill.
AAAUUGGHH NOOOO MILIKRIEG!!!!
Millipedes are cool!
Very interesting, I didn’t know there were so many types!
There are more nest types too. I'll make a video about the cocktail ant nests too. They make huge nests against tree trunks and they use their saliva to cement plant material and soil together to make like a cardboard type nest.
Beautiful. Thank you.❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
I haven’t even started the video and my skin is already crawling..lol
Lol, that is so funny. Millipedes are harmless and very cool creatures.
Do you think she was about to take a bite 😂
Yes, female spiders often eat the males after mating or anytime really.
Im gone....
They are totally harmless.
Gorgeous moth wow!
I think so too!
I think it's a pilgrimage 😂
Sure looks like it!
Very interesting!
I think so too!
me and the gang
Like Cool and the Gang, lol!
How many legs?
Watch the video and you will see how many legs!😃
Very cool!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Nice footage 😮
Thanks 👍
Doesn’t seem very elegant 😂
I think it is called elegant because of it small size and beautiful colours.
That’s terrifying 😮
Scary for the male that is being eaten.
