That’s so exciting! 🎉congratulations on making that decision! Firstly I don’t think that it will negatively affect you, if anything it will set you apart because you would have had some work experience and if you get it in law - at least you know that you would actually like working in law. Some people get into the degree apprenticeship and they don’t like working in law. I think if you can get a 12 month apprenticeship in a law firm that would be great! Doing a legal apprenticeship, business admin apprenticeship or something like that, just make sure it ends in time to start your degree apprenticeship. Get a job, part time or full time. Customer service jobs would be good, because it’s like dealing with clients sometimes. If you can get one working in an office environment, even better! Of course it would be entry level, but it will get you prepared for the office environment- there’s so much to learn lol. Take a break!!! If you haven’t spent this summer resting, please please rest!!!!!!! Also I’d say, if you can squeeze in a law masterclass or a few that would be great! It’s not enough just to enjoy working in law, you have to do the degree as well. Hope that helps!

@@pwincezzetz hello! It depends on what industry you’re in but generally I tend to just go on Eventbrite and search for apprenticeship events on there or I would go on LinkedIn and check out the apprenticeship events held by well-known apprenticeship organisations.

Practice with someone who has a job already and give them the job description, then practice with your careers advisor - hope you find this helpful 🫶🏽

It depends on what you don’t like about the work place, what you’re will to deal with, how long you’re willing to deal with it and whether the problem can be fixed with someone else’s help. There’s a lot more factors involved but leaving an apprenticeship, irrespective of the level, is a difficult decision to make. Not to be taken lightly.

It is possible, if the company has their applications open at that time. You'd need to search them out! There are some companies that have their application open then, but it varies depending on the industry and level of apprenticeship.

You'd have to have to do your own research at the time, as it's very firm/company specific. Most of them are closed by them and open up again from October. Not all of them are like that though!

@@apprenticeish in one of your videos you said you dropped out 3 months into your course did you wait for the next application cycle to do the apprenticeship ? Or did you start straight after?

Hey! The intention is to start to finish. There’s some providers who have the course up in such a way that if you don’t finish the SQE, you don’t finish your degree apprenticeship. So you’d have finish the whole program. Hope that helps!

Hello! It’s not compulsory.

Hello! My Alevel grades were BBC and I think it depends on where you apply. Some place ask for 3 a levels and other places ask for 3 a levels or equivalent. If you’re unsure, I’d contact the company’s recruitment team/HR team, their email is usually somewhere on the website.

I had no issues telling my family, they were very supportive. I definitely research HARD so I could answer every question, if I felt like they needed a PowerPoint presentation- I would have done that too!!!!! But I’d you know the tone of your family I would say make sure that you give them a break down of the apprenticeship, what qualification you finish with and what the plan is after the apprenticeship.

I’m not sure unfortunately!! It’s something you’d have to look into.

Hey, if you do a solicitor apprentice you should qualify as a solicitor . If someone takes the traditional route ( ie law degree, training, SQE/LPC) they are also enroute qualifying as a solicitor.

Honestly, the rejection will happen at some point, if it's not a one company - it's at another and the reality is, that's good! You don't want to be perfect everywhere, because it means you have interests in particular things and also not everywhere deserves you. Try again but slowly, thoughtfully and get some feedback!
