Beautiful bike in classic colours. Remember lusting after one of these back in the day.
Is Freddie tiny or that Guzzi massive
Freddie is 5'10"... Guzzi is preatty masive
I would say it was a very pleasant machine but definitely not a Superbike. Classic design language carried over from the Z900 of the Seventies.
Back when you won the 250 and 500cc world championship in the same year, you were the man Freddie.
I ride my 83 VF750F everyday. Fly on Freddie!
Hello, I saw you for the first time in about 30 years. I started the race because I admired you. You are our hero.
a champion who wastes his time presenting something that runs for 15 minutes and 2 weeks in the garage. very bad race commissioner
I still have my 84 VF1000 Interceptor that i bought when new. Still a joy to ride today
meine Suzuki GSX1100E Bj.86 hat mittlerweile mächtige 32 000km auf dem Buckel😊 Der Motor ist super, aber das Fahrwerk halt typisch 80er. Vielen Dank für den Test👍
i love that bike.
Caro Fast Freddy... è sempre un piacere ascoltare la tua opinione 👏
I met Freddie when I was a Honda rep years ago…great guy!…I also delivered his NS-500 GP Bike in a rental van to his old school in Vegas back in 2000…such great memories!!
I had a VF500F and that was a great machine. Honda mess-up! they should have stuck with the V4.
Moto Goot-zee. With shaft drive, "when in doubt, gas it!" in a curve so it raises up, giving you MORE ground clearance instead of less. Mike Baldwin was the master on the Guzzi's saddle while Leoni was the master with the wrenches.
Outro ícone italiano.
There's two brilliant Freddie's,one of them is Fast and the other one is Mercury. 👍
WHY WHY WHY Shaft drive? Really....
Duh, why not? Every Beemer ever made, and every Guzzi since 1967....something to do with longditudinal crank rotation....
Shaft drive is great for longevity but the jacking effect created by them isn’t very desirable for racing.
@@deborahchesser7375 that has been sorted in the last 10-15 years.
Because the output shaft is pointed directly at the rear wheel
Fast Freddie!
Technically the 1982 Honda Superbike you rode at Daytona was badged as a CB750F. Too bad you were not going thru the Actual race bikes you rode instead of these knock offs in Germany
Wow thanks for the tip about the shaft drive. Just got a V7!
They aint nowhere as noticeable as the older models.
I remember when Freddie stole all tgat money
Please! Tell us more!
I went to Las Vegas in 2005 to Freddie’s riding school and his stories were epic. My two-up with him was even better. Cheers.
Ganz spezieller Besuch im Museum . Klasse
I had a Honda VFR interceptor 750. I think it was back in '86. The one with the sand colored engine. Nice bike except it had a suspension like a buck board, which is to say no suspension at all.
I bought Freddie's Yamaha RD400 from his father after he won a box stock race on it. Freddie, if you read this, I worked at the bowling alley behind your house.
I bought my 84 VF500F Interceptor from Freddie Spencer Honda in Shreveport, Louisiana.
And you're still alive?
@@daniellang6112 the last time I checked....yes. Was your question in reference to my age or the dangers of riding a motorcycle? Or both?
Freddie was/is my first motorcycle racing “hero” back in the 80s when I lived in Louisiana. He was at the time the best. He was too fragile as it turned out though. Burnt himself out physically, bit more importantly, mentally with that double championship year. It was spectacular to watch, but terminal to his racing career. Today, I’m so disappointed in his effort in the MotoGP stewards work, but hoping it gets sorted soon. I still have great respect for his accomplishments, but also bit sad for him as well.
900 Bol Dor so good that Honda had to invent the CB1100R to win the Castrol 6 Hour in Australia in 1980 , because GSX’s & even the XS1100’s used to beat them easily
Quanto è bella!
Freddy looks tiny compared to that Guzzi! How tall is he?
How tall is the bike stand?
Prospettiva,è 1,80 cm
3foot 5
@@daniellang6112 feet
@@daniellang6112never knew Fast Freddie was a midget .🤣. Cheers Daniel 👍🇦🇺
Nice bit of nostalgia. Freddie talking about "shaft effect" on the Guzzi. Didn't know Freddie ever raced a Guzzi!
Thanks Freddie. Loved watching you race. Loving your insights
Great company. V8va Italia and Freddie
Hi ya Freddie, best wishes.
That bike was definitely a game changer. I was racing a GPz up against these bikes for a season. Looked at a few of those tail sections pulling away from me.
One of the best racing drivers ever
He was a great racing rider too.
Good to see Freddie, I wasn’t a big racing fan but got to watch him race a couple of times at the Daytona 200.
Me too
Holy moly, I remember him as a peach fuzz-faced kid. Great road racer.
Che porcheria questa VF 750, un elefante senza stile ne' innovazione 🤮. Grom nella media.
Freddie ❤
I remember Freddie winning the double world championship in both the 250 and 500 in 1985. The last time this happened ever.
I am huge fan of your! We love you!
Quelle honte de présenter cette daube les cylindres sont plus haut que le réservoir
Magari avercela è un capolavoro per pochi e tu non sei di quei pochi mi dispiace per te

Freddie、You are my hero forever.
These early Honda V4s had the terrible top end, valve , camshaft issues. Well the bikes were great for racing of course because if you are a factory racer you don’t care. As long as the bike wins. I have a 1984 VF1100 Sabre which I have added the high volume oil line kit. That bike is still a beast and it’s comfy
I raced one for 2 years and rode it on the street. I kept the valves adjusted and changed the oil after every race weekend and never had a cam or valve gear problem.
Too bad he doesn't know how to pronounce it.
1:17 "de-acceleration" - you can't really expect him to get Guzzi correct either.
What a beauty the guzzi is! 👍
We called you in the UK fast Freddie only man to win a 250 cc championship and 500cc championship in the same year such a fantastic achievement no one was better than fast Freddie.💯
So true. Here in the US he was also known as Fast Freddie. 😂
Bought my interceptor in the spring of 1983 . Rode it to Laconia N.H. from Rochester N.Y. to watch the race's at the Briar race track , and was blown away at what the race versions where doing ! Kept my bike for 5yrs. ,sold it to a good friend who had it for 6 or 7 . Both of us lament having gotten rid of it . I'm so glad Freddy , you're still ' living the dream ' . You were one hell of a rider ! What I would have called 'surgical ' . ( fast was an understatement )
Notorious top end failure issues though. I had one and it chewed its cams up.
