I Found The BEST Overlanding Route In Michigan!
You guys have been asking for it, and we finally did it! I finally downloaded OnX Offroad and mapped our route to find the best trails to the best campsite we could find in Michigan. As much as I love challenging my driving and challenging the Jeep, there’s something about these overlanding adventures that can really hit the sweet spot! But that definitely doesn’t mean I won’t do everything I can to venture off and stretch this suspension any chance I get.

The BEST Offroad Tire... That You've NEVER Heard Of!
มุมมอง 14K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
Tires are debatably the most important part of any vehicle. Then when you begin to factor in purpose built rigs, tires become more important than ever. When you think of offroad tires, many of us have an entire list that comes to mind. But is there another tire out there that could top them all that never even made it on your list? Today is the day we go over all of the details and my experienc...

This Winch is UNSTOPPABLE! Putting My Jeep to Work
มุมมอง 7048 หลายเดือนก่อน
Today, my Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee becomes a work horse! I installed an OPENROAD 13000 pound winch in a previous video, its been used for multiple recoveries now, but an opportunity came up to continue testing the durability of this winch and you know we had to put it to work. Lets just say when you need to hook 2 vehicles together to have enough weight to pull something out, your winch is doing ...

Snow Wheeling Turned MUDDY Adventure
มุมมอง 84210 หลายเดือนก่อน
Winter is already coming to a close, and I have almost missed all of the snow wheeling opportunities! Until today. Today we're finally brushing the dust (or snow) off the Jeep and throwing it back in four wheel drive for another day of adventure. Although it wasn't long, it was a long overdue day getting back behind the wheel.
2023 Nissan Rogue AWD Snow Test | I'm Impressed!
มุมมอง 12K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue AWD system good? Today, we answer that question. Let's take a deep dive into exactly how every mode works and reacts in a low traction environment. This multiple day snow storm created the perfect opportunity to take the Rogue out into the snow and test its capabilities. But could it be worthy of an offroad build?

My guess would be a full length 44 And 9" in the rear
I've bought 5 sets of these so far for different trucks and have been impressed. They don't seem to cut or chunk up as bad as most other brands and so far we haven't even had a flat tire. I'd say the most we have on a set is 20k and they still look good. They're loud but no more so than other mud tires
It's a huge fail that they eliminated the middle bulb of the parking light sequence and didn't wrap around far enough, disrupting and shortening the aggressive "orange bars" that define these WJs, especially for those of us who run the parking lights full-time. In this implementation, it's sadly just functional lighting without character.
where’s that drl green plug go into?
It just plugs directly into the light socket
Great job man!
Thanks!
How do you claim those are the "best" mud tires? Looked like they struggled a lot!
I just did a test drive of a 2023 nissan rouge SL great car lots of room inside cargo area 😊
These after market exhausts need to go the other direction. Silencer Exhausts. Sleeper Exhausts. Stealth Exhausts. That would be the sickest thing you could do to an exhaust.
Quieter means more restrictions means less air flow which means less power. There is a reason performance exhausts are louder.
@@engineeringoverland Hm, then it would seem you could do it by incorporating silencer mechanics into the tail pipe. Direct the air at the final stages like the gas from a barrel - into multiple tiny chambers that redirect the gas. Its never been done before and I think it would be amazing.
What muffler do you have?
Do you have a link to the exact lights you got??? Not sure which ones you got from the choices.
Sorry! Here is the link the exact lights! Will also update the description for this. www.led-colight.com/products/new-y12-series-h4-h11-h7-9005-9006-mini-projector-lhd-mode-led-headlight-bulbs?_pos=2&_sid=6f17248aa&_ss=r&ref=rye604pg&variant=40565533933673
@ awesome 🤙🏾
Damn! Nice Jeep man!
Nice video, I just put 4 of these tires on my Bronco, 35x12.5/17, road noise is very little, been off road 5 times with Nittos which seem pretty good, not a big fan of rock crawling, love the mud, trails and hill climbing, pine barrens in NJ and reading off road park in PA. I heard these are not good in snow but winter just started in PA so we will see, I still have the Nittos on fuel wheels so both sets should last long for me.
Thanks! Not sure of any MT that will be good on snowy roads, but I can definitely vouch for these being good in the deep stuff! At least here in MI they’ve done very well for me. Especially when you drop some PSI.
your jeep weighs what 3500 lbs. in my opinion not a good test for a 13000 winch.
If you’re referring to the last test, I mentioned that was more or less for fun. Not really a representation of anything. Also it’s 4000 lb stock. Then everything I added.
The right way to build a WJ?🙄 that’s a pretty strong statement for a kid who’s basically just lifted his stock jeep. It’s a nice looking jeep, but hardly an ideal build. Looks like you live back east so I’ll cut ya some slack, but out west, your jeep is unprepared. You’d be lucky to make it through the rubicon with a stick tie rod on 35s
These are pretty cheap to buy . I have ARB 8x8 awnings on my vanagons .You do have to undo one or two velcro straps (on the low side) and lower one pole so water runs off easily otherwise it will pool and stretch the fabric. I typically do this before going to bed. Always stake it too. I've seen enough awnings fly over vanagons. I weathered a hurricane at the Firefly music fest in 2015 with my awning out
They are definitely worth it!
Great looking WJ! Quick question, did you have to relocate the vacuum reservoir that was behind the front bumper? If so where did you mount it?
Yup. Its in this video. 3:44
Excited to watch you channel building a wj as well hope to see some insight from yours soon
Check out my walkaround videos! Might find some inspiration for the current stages of the build.
Hey man good view on tires im planning on buying these soon
Thanks! You won't be disappointed!
@engineeringoverland thanks buddy can't wait!!!
Snow* proceeds to show 0 traction in snow. Sick looking jeep though good job on the build
lol that video was basically just ice. Unfortunately didn't have a good video to insert with the deep snow. But thanks!
what about for keeping it cool i have a side by side i wanna tow but im worried its gonna get hot towing it and going offlr oading in the hot a upgraded rad or anything you would recommend
For towing I recommend a trans cooler. You can see I have one through the grille in front of the rad. In terms of overheating in the engine bay, I haven't had issues so I haven't changed anything. Bigger rad, electric fan (if you don't have one already), etc can help.
nice routes!! does not the car feel a little bit "loose" on corners with speed with that high ? check about zumbalacan cuatro por cuatro, actually look for "galicia encantada 4x4" cheers :)
It has a fair amount of body roll for street driving, but nothing you wouldn't expect for a capable offroad build. Just the nature of having a lot of suspension travel.
Do you have a link for the front bumper?
Did u have to replace the cables from the control box to the winch to relocate it? If so, what size gauge you replace it with?
Didn't replace anything. Exactly how it came, just relocated.
What axle set up
Stock for now. D30 front, D44 rear.
@ lockers ? Quadra drive ?
Just varilocks front and rear. Quadradrive. I have a super detailed walk around video that would be helpful as well!
Just viewed it nice ! ! 👍🏽 that DTill bumper does a number on the look of that thing … we may be twining soon ! Lol😊
I have a 2024 rogue with a 2” ready lift. I really like it. I also have a set of 17 x 8 Black Rhino Overland wheels and Nitto Grappler Nomad tires that I purchased for it but am selling.
Going with a different look
Sweet, I plan to do something similar. Different wheels, tires, etc. but same idea.
ill have what hes having please! OMG IT SOUNDS AMAZING!
Maybe future kit to start selling??
Did you have any problems balancing them?
Nope, all balanced great. 1 had a bit more weight than the others, but nothing too bad And they ride smooth.
wow that sounds like crap..... no way I would put that on my car
lol thanks for sharing. Mic doesn't do it justice. Cold starts distorted the audio pretty bad.
Any other song but this one🤦🏻
Yo man nice jeep can you send me the light bulbs you got those headlights, please it would be much appreciated your jeeps amazing

Awesome car & videos 😊❤
Thank you!
Have one with 160k miles tons of new parts
Well just ordered it and they changed the design and you can't rotate the end of the winch for the clutch release
Keep in mind they have the 2S and 2S Plus. I have the 2S Plus which has a slightly different design. But regardless, the clutch end should always be a planetary gear system and can always be rotated.

Your girlfriend loves that gap filled too. She hates your 3". But keep buying her stuff I enjoy her spending your money.
5.2 better
okay
@@engineeringoverland just joke im joking the most beatiful 4.7 ı have ever seen
Hi just wondering will exhaust that say they are made for one of the turbo models, can you use them on the NAV?
I believe the exhaust systems themselves are identical, but the bumper covers/tips are different. So you will likely run into issues there unless you use an exhaust that keeps factory tips. I'm sure it doesn't take much modification either way.
@@engineeringoverland through your research what do you think is the best bang for your buck? i like loud when im at higher rpm’s and like a good sound just cruising
Awesome video man keep them coming
Thanks! Plenty more to come.
@@engineeringoverland that's good can't wait to see more for sure I for sure need to get out and hit the trails more haven't really got out there this year
Cool man! I had a question, what’s the exhaust called, and where did you find it?
I built this all myself with assorted parts from Amazon. Everything was hand picked.
@@engineeringoverland oh cool man, got any suggestions on what I should pick out for mine? I have a 2013 as well
If you have fabrication skills, I highly recommend going this route and building yourself. A lot more tunability to make it what you want. Otherwise, I would suggest checking out sound clips of the available kits. Just be prepared to spend a lot more.
@@engineeringoverland ok 👍 sounds good, thanks man
I own 2023 Nissan Rogue 2.5l basic model, and based on my experience, I can say the following: - gas consumption is excelent at 110km/h , 55l = 800Km 10% city/ 90% on highways meaning 6.8l/100km . The best I have is 6l/100km at 100km/h. The worst ...9.5l 60% city traffic . Stability, no problem. Snow, rain...excelent Sport mode...crazy Offroad...very good Now, during my life, I had many cars and I was impressed by two models. One model was a G500 class from Mercedes and the second was an Audi Allroad 2,5 diesel. I will say that for our needs, today, Rogue offer a very good balance between cost and quality. Before I have decided to buy the Rogue, I did test Subaru Outlander, Toyota Rav 4 and 4 Runner. The reason I choose to buy the Rogue was the balance as I said and everything I need as functionality I received.
The Rogue is a great balance. You can expect to see more videos of it on my channel once the warranty is up! I have some ideas.
@engineeringoverland Honestly, I never keep a car more than 4 years...
Hi...Did you switch to Winter tires...or used all seasons factory fitted....How was your experience
@NareshKumar-bj1jz Last year, I installed Continental Winter Tires. Very good tires.
Yeah, everyone needs rock sliders for driving down paved roads, protection from what, insects? Id get it if you went offroading, but you dont. This whole build makes no sense. Why didn't you just buy a prius or something more accommodating to your driving style, just looking for acceptance in attention seeking? Good luck with all that naive sweetheart.
God thats hideous. Why lift it and put 35s on if you drive it on the pavement? This whole thing is just silly. Makes no sense. I guess little princess just really needs that attention no matter how she gets it.
Okay Devin. Not sure how you came to this conclusion lol.
So soothing. But please get some long arms for the rear.
I don't think you've watched any of my videos. This has been entirely on long arms since the day the stock suspension came off years ago.
How much lift ?
8". Check out my walkaround videos (Part 1 and Part 2) on the channel for all of the build details.
Always good to go slow if unsure….speed is seldom your friend…experience is good to get! Nice WJ…keep at it!👍
Especially when you have to drive it back home lol
I put the 35x12.5 R20 on my diesel ram a few months back. Have about 8k miles on highway/ and pulling my trailers (28' enclosed, small utility, and 34' camper) Almost no visible wear yet. Road noise has picked up but all in all for the price im completely satisfied. great all weather traction and pull great offroad. Was in the same boat with next to no info on em but so far so good.
They definitely don't wear like a cheap tire! Hope this video helps people not be in the same boat as us going in blind!
Your hat looks sick. Where'd ya get it? 😂 It looks like it has a print of ocean waves
Thanks! I've had it for so many years. Pretty sure it was like wish.com or something lol.
Douglas Squares
Just ordered these for my truck the 33’s. 698 after tax with a discount on simpli tire
Heck yeah, hope your experience is as good as mine!
