2006-2011 8th gen Civic Si DIY TSX big brake kit (BBK) install
Today I am installing a OEM + front brake upgrade into my 2007 Honda Civic Si (FA5). OEM TSX calipers, brackets, Brembo blank rotors, Brembo ceramic pads, Stoptech braided stainless steel brake lines. This is basically bolt on process, with the exception of trimming the dust shields.
Hope this helps anyone wanting to take on this project.

2000 EM1 EK CIVIC SHIFTER & LINKAGE PART 2: K-Tuned Shifter & Energy Suspension Shifter Bushings
มุมมอง 5163 ปีที่แล้ว
Today I finish up the work we began in the previous video. The linkage and shifter were very sloppy and here we find out exactly why now that they are off the car. I will show you how to tighten up the play in the linkage by rolling the pins with a ball peen hammer. We also replace the soft, tired OEM rubber shifter bushings with some new urethane Energy Suspension bushings. The K-Tuned short s...
2000 CIVIC Si EM1 SHIFTER & LINKAGE REMOVAL PART 1
มุมมอง 1.3K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Today I am working on the shifter and shift linkage on the EM1. The K-Tuned shifter that came on the car is very sloppy and loose so it needs immediate attention. In the video will be removing (shifter & linkages) to see what is going on so I can make the appropriate adjustments and upgrades to tighten everything up.
2000 CIVIC SI EM1 D2 Coilovers riding rough-SLAMMED ON WASHERS!!!
มุมมอง 1.1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Today I inspect the D2 coilovers which were already installed on my EM1 when I purchased it. I noticed that they were riding very rough, especially in the rear and I figured the needed a quick adjustment. Boy I was in for a big surprise! I found that all four sides had about an inch of washers acting as bumpstops which was restricting suspension travel and causing the car to bottom out on the w...
DIY 2000 Honda Civic SI EM1 Skunk2 Camber Kit Install
มุมมอง 1.3K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Today I will install a SKUNK2 PRO front camber kit on the EM1. This install was necessary because I discovered the car had a dangerous issue with the front end which had to be fixed ASAP. The front end of the car was knocking during acceleration/braking, and the front end felt very sloppy overall. After inspecting a few things I noticed that there was ALOT of play with both front wheels as show...
DIY 1996-2000 EK HONDA CIVIC Si EM1 Steering Wheel - Hub Removal Bent Steering Column Replacement

Today I knock out a couple more issues with the EM1. In the video I remove the aftermarket Grip Royal steering wheel, the NRG quick release hub, and the entire damaged steering column. I will walkthrough the process of removal and replacement of these components. With a couple more steps in the right direction I am getting the car closer to where it needs to be!
2000 HONDA CIVIC SI EM1 YONAKA CATBACK INSTALL
มุมมอง 2.2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The exhaust (Invidia N1) which was installed on my EM1 was a bit too loud for my taste.. So today I replace the Invidia N1 catback with a Yonaka catback to quiet things down a bit. During this install I also found a few surprises...
DIY HONDA CIVIC DOOR STRIKER ADJUSTMENT - 2000 EM1 CIVIC SI
มุมมอง 8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Today I adjust the door striker on the driver side of the EM1. The door wasn't flush with the quarter panel when closed. After some slight adjustments I was able to get it back where it needed to be. This procedure can be applied to just about every Honda year make and model. THUMBNAIL BY: Elena Cruz, CHC
DIY EK CIVIC 96-00 REAR SEAT REMOVAL - 2000 EM1
มุมมอง 8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Today we begin the journey in the PROJECT EM1 to fix all the questionable decisions (and associated problems) I have inherited from the previous owner(s) of the FBP 2000 EM1. On the surface the rear seats seem fine, but after closer scrutiny there is a lot wrong back there, like WHERE ARE THE SEATBELTS! This video should help anyone who has to remove/replace the rear seats in their EK civic. En...
I JUST BOUGHT A CLEAN TITLE FBP 2000 CIVIC SI EM1! QUICK WALK AROUND
มุมมอง 18K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Quick look at the FBP 2000 Civic SI (EM1) I recently purchased semi-locally for a great deal in today's rising EM1 market. The car has a CLEAN TITLE and is solid (not perfect for a 21 year old car). It does some issues that must first be sorted out to bring it up to standard. The car has a lot of potential, but we will see what surprises we find as we start to dig into this one. 2006-2011 8th gen Civic Si DIY steering wheel removal and replacement
มุมมอง 11K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Today I take one of the treasures I found at the junkyard and install it on my 2007 FA5. I wrapped my steering wheel last spring and after a few months the wrap became a complete disaster. It started peeling worse than the steering wheel it was covering and I hated it. So I decided to remove the wheel and replace it with the one I found at the junkyard a while back. I hope this helps you out wi...

DIY 2006-2011 HONDA CIVIC SI HELLA SUPERTONES INSTALL
Mine wont adjust, got a 1997 ej8 civic european spec, when i adjust it to where I need it to be, tighten screws and it just comes back to where I started after tightening screws lol
Honda civic 2014
Waste of my time camera everywhere, just like your explanations
I know this video is from 3 years ago but, can you tell me where to find that leather wrap?
I purchased the wrap on Amazon.
Where did you get the calipers from?
Pulled the set of calipers and brackets from a TSX at my local pick and pull junkyard.
Was the pedal squishy or travel before feeling pressure?
There is a few extra millimeters of travel now, but its hardly noticeable and I the TSX brake setup grips hard. An upgrade to a Acura TL brake master cylinder would eliminate this extra travel but to me it's not worth it at this point. If I have to replace the master cylinder in the future then I will consider switching over.
bro? u don’t gotta do that much? wasting my time
do you know what size bolts for mounting the horns to the chassis ?
You wasted my time G how do I get a refund?? Honestly.....
to anyone does this now, you dont have to undo the motor mounts you have access to get all 4 compressor bolts, you can undo those and push the compressor a little bit and you'll have enough room to get the clutch out.
Was the interior quieter after? It tightens the seals as well I think
Yes there is an improvement as there was a bit of wind noise due to the gap in the door seal.
What size was that drillbit?
It's called an impact screwdriver
I have a 4th gen CR-V (2013) and once the screws are loose, they don't move or shift around. Screws are stationary, unless I need to hit the striker harder with a hammer to free a possibly frozen back plate?
Will they fit on oem 16inch wheels
No, 17” wheels or larger.
It actually is supposed to make your car stiffer so when you low, you don’t smack oil pan on the ground from shock travel
Great vid bro , just installed mine today on the 06 si coupe.
I appreciate the feedback, glad it helped you out!
What happens if mine came completely off in the plate that holds the bolts in fell into the frame of the door and now my door won't lock at all... Is there a way to fix it😢
Please help I don't even know what that piece is called to look it up to find a replacement piece
My advice is to remove the interior plastic panel and see if you can gain access to the portion that fell inside. Good luck.
What spacers are on there? Are they safe? Looking to get some for mine. Thanks
I believe they are 5mm spacers, not sure what brand, they came on the car already. Seem to work just fine so far, I've had no issues but I'm not really pushing the car, just regular street driving.
@@cruz_control3925 Ok cool. Does it effect steering or wheel alignment that you’ve noticed?
@fixthisone nope no issues at all. I have removed the spacers to run other aftermarket wheels with a lower offset (+35) directly to the hub. Everything ran straight and smooth. 👍
Hi, I put the steering rack back on but i didnt index it to the steering wheel, its off by 90 degrees, can I pull my steering wheel off and then re-index it?
Thanks for the upload on TSX upgrade. I was looking into this and your video sold me on doing this myself.
Ive heard of ppl no having to remove mounts...does anyone have a good way todo this ?
*Thank you for presenting this. Black-bell subscribed. Cheers!*
Thanks for this! I got my CRX back from a paint shop and I had this gap problem, just making the small adjustment got my door aligned perfectly.
Glad it helped!
*Critical, active ingredient of coating remover for aluminum substrates is Methylene Chloride. F! the EPA. You can still find gallon cans of MC for sale, online and in-person. You just have to be diligent and possibly, creatively lie a little <[;) Cheers!*
*Other common no-engagement cause is failed USDM Omron A/C (and many other circuits) relay. Replace with Honda/Mitsuba 39794-SDS-A05 (Made in Vietnam), once and done. Oh man! Doing this in the rain shows your high level of task focus and dedication. Respect!.*
*Superb presentation with well-planned, careful workmanship on full display. Now, where does one find those mentioned, but not used t-conns? 3M Automotive product? Liked and sub'd. Cheers!*
Thanks a million
What size is that bolt so I can do this?
Great video Bro!!🔥👊😎
Really appreciate this video Brother. You have 20x more patience and time for this then me
I found a perfect steering wheel for $15 at the junkyard
Does anyone know what the proper gap should be? .20? What is the shim gap supposed to be. I've got a 09 Civic DX 1.8, but seen this done on the car with belt on
*Like Cruz stated: Air gap should be 0.35mm to 0.65mm (about .014" to .024"). Cheers!*
@@blackrifle6736 for reference a credit card is approximately .70mm
May sound louder but sounds meeky!
*Credit (or blame) for that tone belongs to FIAMM's (Fabbrica Italiana Accumulatori Motocarri Montecchio) successful air horns from the 1960s onward. Popularity of FIAMM's dual short red air horns package (OE on Alfas, FIATs, Ferraris, Lambos, etc.) dominated the worldwide aftermarket. To compete, Hella's objective was to create a compressorless, loud, distinctive and somewhat annoying note that cut thru ambient Autobahn/Autostrada noise. Now, although they have a slightly lower composite dB output, Hella's SharpTones (yellow frames) are even more distinctive and annoying. So in that respect Hella is killin' it. Cheers!*
Great video, just the info i was looking for
Thanks! Followed your instructions on my FN2 and it seems to be working now, but i ended up using a pair of snips to cut the shim off instead of trying to remove the plate, since i can't be bothered to deal with the engine mounts.
how much space was there to get snips in? I have either small or large snips, but the small ones might not be strong enough to cut the shim
@@justicator Mine is a 250mm snips at it was just about enough space to cut. The shim are pretty thin so it should not take much force. Anyway I fixed the clutch only to find out the compressor is dead too (unable to build pressure), so it was all for nothig :(
Love your civic. I don’t like the washers on as well.
I’m confused what ya did here bud. You didn’t refinish anything at all. Didn’t repair anything. Lol
*With a little more effort working on your focus and attention to detail you'll be just fine. Cheers!*
Sounds so much better I just bought a 2.5 system for my 2000 coupe can’t wait to install it
Did I spot a skunk 2 certified plate?? 🤔
Damn man!! I want a k24 so bad, every time I been disappointed w bad motors at the yard
I can definitely understand the dissapointment. Just got to keep on searching and don't give up, there will be others. Goodluck!
There's nothing better than a good old restoration 🕺🏻
What is that style of clamp called?
It's a tie rod end or pitman arm puller. You can buy or rent one from autozone/O'Reilly etc. They also sell these at harbor freight. This tool is less than $20 and is well worth the price.
great installation!
I have yonaka exhaust on my EM1 also. I am happy with the sound.
Same issue, soudal t rex glue works great for gluing interior or exterior parts, its super strong. Thnx for the video im going to spray paint mine with resin black matte car paint to strengthen it. cheers
Very helpful video thank you
Nice car bro, what’s the name of that intro song ? It’s mad chill.
Song info: SOMEWOOD--B2
@@cruz_control3925 thanks bro
Good that wood grain wheel look shitty. Good work bro
What’s the air gap measurement? I recently did a clutch job and replaced the clutch and coil. Now it won’t engage. I think I over shimmed it 🤨 Thanks for the informative video 👍
The air gap should be 35mm to .65mm (about .014" to .024"). Good luck! 👍
@@cruz_control3925 Thanks for your speedy reply 👍
