tried farseer first time after totemic. it heals so little compared to totemic ... idk how ppl even play that in high keys

Hey Laren What is your addon called for the healing numbers on friendlies?

I do 2-3 8s in a week and I really dont want to try even 9. low keys are cancer. its almost impossible to dps. people get so much dmg all the time. Last night I played with my new disc priest. I did 900k hps on dawnbreaker last boss on the ship. and the key was 5! can you imagine? in what universe +5 boss needs 900k hps? I'd not able to keep my group up if I did not use rapture. So as a healer I really dont want push or progress on anything. I feel like I am playing with apes.

When you say you know why most players are playing totemic, are there reasons beyond the better burst AOE heals, the Reactivity bug that makes it stronger than intended for HST, and the Spouting Spirits extra free Chain Heal bug?

Nice guide, i love farseer gameplay. i tested the the interaction between preeminence and deeply rooted and it doesn't work, maybe its a bug, but now it dont works

Been super frustrated pushing keys these last weeks, because I just feel like I have a hard time ST heal people up, and when the cooldowns are used the mana pool disapears. So I've been playing mostly Elemental instead. This video inspired me to try out farseer again (did like one dungeon in the beginning of the exp.) so well see how it turns out. Did a low key to get a feel for it and the ST feels a lot nicer and fun to have cloudburst back, dps rotation feels less one note.

Re: Untalenting Acid Rain: Both Dawnbreaker and Necrotic Wake have large portions of the dungeon where Acid Rain simply doesnt work. As such, both of those dungeons are great candidates to untalent Acid Rain imo

Hi thanks Laren for your guide again ! They are so Helpful ! It's a bit strange, I mained resto shaman since early shadowlands, always had a blast with the toolkit. When I saw hero talent as Beta was going, I was convinced I would play Farseer, looked like my cup of tea, but I hopped into the totemic train for a while until +12 keys or so. Last 2 weeks I've been timing 13 as Farseer and I enjoy it much more ! I feel like I have more controls over life bars... Idk ! Tried going back to totemic but it just doesn't feel the same ! I'am happy to have given Farseer another try ! I'am sticking to it for now and having a blast ! Timed my first 14 this week !

do you think farseer benefits from haste more than totemic? Been trying to get my shaman to around 20% haste for farseer

Do you maintain healing rain 100% uptime even without acid rain?

When 95% of healers use totemic it clearly looks like farseer should be buffed in some way for us casual players.

I love this build so much, but find myself hardly ever casting healing rain, so moved the point from downpour into torrent for the juices riptides

i remember hearing before that healing stream totem was bugged. Therefore it was better that cloudburst due to its ease of use the HST bugged gives extra healing. is there any truth to this?

I tried farseer until 13s and I love it, but totemic feels sooo much easier to heal I think I have a skill issue Will try this no primordial wave build for sure, thanks!

I'm only doing 11 / 12s in pugs, and spot healing is i think more importnat in pugs, because of the lack of communication and coordination when it comes to ccs and interrupts. I do have a question, how much haste are you playing with ?

Do you always skip tide bringer talent? It feels really difficult playing without sometimes my chain heals can’t reach team mates, and I’m not fast enough due to longer cast time. Can you explain why you chose to skip this talent?

Thanks for the videos, hard to find other Resto Farseers out there. I've been playing Farseer all this season. But I've deviated a bit from the standard builds, I like to try things myself. Been doing 10s/11s now. Would love to hear your thoughts on a more Healing Surge focused build instead of Chain Heal. I prefered to focus on Undulation + the RNG Hero Talents, surprisingly they keep the Ancestors up quite a lot. Sometimes 3 or 4 of them. Been using a build with no Chain Heal at all and focusing on prepping Primordial Wave with the 50% buff from Undulation instead of 35 from Unleash Life. Would love to hear your thoughts on builds like this one: CgQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGAAAAAzMzMjZmlZGmx2sxiZswiZ2gBMBzGTgxCzMWGzsNzgMbLzMz0wMgBjZsYWGLzyYAAM The HPS is quite high (and mana efficient) spamming Healing Surges. The only times I miss Chain Heals are quick constant AoE bursts like CoT last boss or some specific pulls in GB/CoT. I did try some Farseer variations using CH (and UL) but they all felt like a stretch.

Watching you farseer heal is a beautiful thing! I learn so much! And I love to see people using cloudburst. Would you please consider doing a walkthrough video of one of these keys explaining decision-making? The place I struggle most with farseer is burst AOE healing and I’d love to hear you explain those intense moments. And props to your group for being so surgical with group defensives too.

What % of Crit, Haste & vers do you recommend when playing this spec in M+ I currently have 18% Crit, 12% haste, 14% Vers & 27% Mastery (iLv593). Also how / when would you recommend using the Cloud Burst totems?

Great video, i main rsham and this is very well put together with sense for detail, i am sure this will help a lot of people so great job on that. I cant say i learned anythign advanced from the video but that is ok, i am currently doing +8/+9 keys so around 2300 rio, but basically from my testing the take is: 1. if you have a team and run 5stack you can play farseer which requires setup and team coordination for trading CDs during fights 2. if you are pugging, always go totemic, it has overall slight advantage and throughput is there 3. the only disadvantage for totemic is the mana issues but you will learn eventually how to preserve mana and make use of totem reset for living stream totems and use it on CD so you have 3 charges for fight 4. run poison cleanse for arakara, CoT, mists and grim batol 5. improved purify for GB mostly 6. earthgrab improved with roots for Mists and Ara Kara (for fixated mobs), the 3rd boss is necrotic does not get rooted, so dont bother 7. tremor totem can be useful but not needed at all if your group can kick casts properly 8. grab mage food from follower dungeon at start of your session and drink as often as possible 9. buy the flasks for 2000 crit, its wort every penny

Is a chain heal farseer build wildly different from the riptide build, even though only a couple of talents differentiate them on paper? I've been missing having chain heal in my arsenal, but I still prefer the way the riptide build plays. I would like to incorporate CH into the build, without nerfing spot healing too much.

If you get free massive chain heals from your healing stream totem how can you say you dont need to plan it now? As a 2400 IO resto you give Totemic beginners not that good advices, cheers for the try

Hey this is maybe asking a lot of you, could you make a video doing a high key and explaining your CD decisions and how you are dealing with things as they happen? Im playing farseer and want to learn but really hard to find content on it that is "educational" i guess. Otherwise these kinds of vids are very helpful anyway and please keep them coming :)

what addon you use that says aoe and move?

Hey, someone else asked down in the comments with no response, so can you share what is the weakaura or addon you use for calling out on some spells of your party, like Chains, Sigil of Silence and Divine Shield?

Says poison totem is necessary in city of threads proceeds to not take it. Also if you’re going to post this videos at least use the addon that shows what button you’ve pressed otherwise we have no idea what you’re doing

This makes mes feel utterly useless lmao, i love shaman so much yet i would have raan out of mana in that first trash pull on m0 XD and this is comming from a resto druid otp who did 25+ keys XDD I can't seem to heal on shaman AT ALL, mana issue is so bad for me
