The Island Less Traveled: Romblon
I visited a friend and her family in Tablas, Romblon. Even though the popular Boracay island is just nearby, tourism here is not really a thing and the locals want to keep to themselves. Public transport is scarce and motorbike rentals are not common here. I was really lucky to know someone who knew someone who would lend me their bike.
Exploring this island was exciting! I had the whole beach literally to myself, I got to spend some quality time with friends and get to know more people who decided to settle here on the island away from the more popular islands of the Philippines. Island life is really something else compared to city life. Whole different story!

Kape de Filipina - The World's Forgotten Coffee (Short Doc)
มุมมอง 1.1K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
As a late coffee enthusiast, I created a passion for exploring coffee tastes that are less common and I ventured into the world of Philippine coffee. A market that has been thriving so much in the 1800s and later lost its glam against global competition and the coffee rust. The long forgotten Filipino coffee bean has yet to earn its way back into the global market and with the unique and rare B...
The Wild Boar and The Mouflon
มุมมอง 15ปีที่แล้ว
The mouflon mating season is in October/November. So I went out to film.. you know what 😏 Couldn’t get near the mouflon cause it was so alert and always knew where I was. I guess I need one of these epic camouflage suits… But then I came across this wild boar and I just had to film it 🐗🤗 The two wild boars were moody though and quite angry at each other. No mating season after all, I guess 🤷‍♂️...
Island Hopping in Biliran, Philippines

I visited my extended family in Naval, Leyte where they showed my around their island. I went hiking, waterfalls jumping, got to hang out at their farm and in this video I compiled all the smaller islands we visited: Island #1: Dalutan Island I found this island to be totally underrated. It was amazing! Not so many people, well established. Island #2: Capiñahan Island This seems to be a private...

Hiking Mt Tres Marias in Biliran, Philippines
มุมมอง 227ปีที่แล้ว
Mt Tres Marias is the highest peak in Biliran island, Eastern Visayas and the second highest in Region VIII. Even though it has a height of only 1315 meters above sea level, you must not underestimate this climb. It was tough! and so much fun! Also, definitely get a tour guide as there are many different trails and it's easy to get lost in the dense rain forest. The trails are not as clear beca...
Habal-Habal to Tangadan Falls - Perfect Day Trip in La Union
มุมมอง 58ปีที่แล้ว
We had the whole falls to ourselves! How you ask? Simple: Go early at 7am and arrive before everyone else arrives. To get here, the roads are quite steep and can only be managed by jeeps, 4x4's and motorbikes. If you are a large group, you'll need to get a tour guide that can organize you appropriate transportation and will take care of the environmental fees and other expenses. If you travel a...
Climbing Mt Apo - The Highest Mountain In The Philippines
มุมมอง 1.1Kปีที่แล้ว
In this episode I attempt to climb the highest mountain in the Philippines. We took the Kapatagan trail for 3 days / 2 nights for a more fun and stressless experience. Like most mountains in the Philippines, hiking up without a tour guide is not really an option. In this case, hiking alone WITH a tour guide is also not really an option. As Mt. Apo is quite regulated, you'll need to join a group...
Solo Traveling and Swimming With Turtles In The Philippines

As I arrived at the Malatapay Wharf, I didn't have any kind of reservation or plan. I was a solo traveler and boats only take a minimum of 5 people. i found two couples that I could share the boat with and we made it to the island. Apo island was full of incredibly nice people, locals taking a shower at the well, having a fun time at the billiard hall and just hanging out at the island. The boa...
I Found A Beautiful Lagoon And Had It All To Myself
มุมมอง 37ปีที่แล้ว
When you go to La Union, everybody thinks about beaches and eating at one of the famous restaurants in San Juan. As I hate crowds, I always try to explore places that are less touristy. A local friend suggested I should visit Immuki Island, which is just 15 min by car from San Juan. Well, as I researched the place on google, it didn't really appeal to me. But hey, I had a bike and a full aftern...
We Found a Weird Creature in a Cave in the Philippines

Marielle and I took a small detour into Sambulawan Underground River in Siquijor. We didn't even know this existed. Our driver just stopped here and said we can go visit some caves. We got a local guide, put on our headlamps and vests and started our descend into the cave. Little did we know, we had to float in 15 feet deep water through narrow passages. Truly an adventure for everyone to witne...
Mount Talinis - Toughest Hike in Negros, Philippines
มุมมอง 2032 ปีที่แล้ว
This is my 2nd attempt to summit Mt. Talinis as I had to cancel my first trip due to a typhoon. I was surprised when I saw the trail being completely destroyed up on the mountain. The magical views made up for it and the eerie, zombieland-like landscape at the lake was just amazing! On our way down we encountered heavy rainfall and slippery stones. So I couldn't film any of that. SUBSCRIBE TO M...
I Discovered This Deadly Sulfur River During Typhoon Hike In Valencia
มุมมอง 562 ปีที่แล้ว
On my first attempt of hiking up Mt. Talinis in Valencia, I was surprised by a typhoon, muddy and slippery trails and amazing waterfalls. Despite the weather, I figured the rain makes everything more epic and has a lot of advantages: no tourists, no scorching sun, no sunburn, epic pictures and rain forest-like landscapes just like in Jurassic Park. Thank you so much to Jerald who kept a close e...

Yes, I 100% agree Barako coffee has an excellent unique flavor. The Barako I tried I had the feeling had a strong chocolate flavor and I got in touch with it in Tagaytay which is very close to Batangas. People should know more about this coffee, unfortunately it's pretty difficult to find in Europe. I found it finally at "Kape de Filipina"

Thank you for showing your film on TH-cam. What a wonderful compassionate thing to do. I feel very privileged to be able to watch it. I travelled to Nepal over thirty years ago with a small video camera and a solar panel recharging unit my friend made for me that could be carried on our back whilst walking. Before digital cameras. It was a special trip and we finally used some of the footage to raise money for medical training for the local Ani's at a temple way up in the mountains. I didn't think this would happen with my footage which I endlessly struggled with on returning home and spent weeks and months trying to put a film together without much experience or talent for editing. Your film is so well put together and I'm sure will bring more joy to people than you may realise so thank you again as you have told a wonderful story so well. It was such a treat to see your father's joy overflowing. Well done

What a heartwarming tale. Only two days you cannot experience, yesterday & tomorrow, l liked that !!. Your documentary a present moment, wonderful moment in the flow of my life. Today I experienced the joy of your tale, your excellent work, the new birth of your relationship with your father. Each moment birth & death arrive in equal quantities, “From the withered tree a flower blooms” an opportunity to live and die fully.

Vivid seems to be a great profile! I just got a gh5 after years of working with Canon cameras and Im still trying to figure out a way that gives me the easiest time in post production. I did some test footage with Cine-D with -5 contrast and colors but it was just a mess to grade it. Ill defo check out Vivid and Neutral next and see where that goes. great shots btw! Id suggest using an ND filter for adequate shutter angle and try to turn down sharpness in your profile, it looks oversharpened at times.
