Elf Minion blow mold from Home Depot | $19.98 clearance price | Conversion from battery to electric?
For Black Friday 2024, Home Depot had this elf minion blow mold for $39.98. I never saw a single one removed from the stack. A week later it was $19.98. A price I couldn't resist. Even though it's battery powered (which I detest), I figured for that price - and given this is such a large blow mold - I could possibly convert it to be corded electric like all my other blow molds.

RAYOVAC is RAYOBAD? Made in Belgium Rayovac Batteries vs USA Rayovac Batteries - Major Difference!
มุมมอง 87821 วันที่ผ่านมา
I recently purchased a bulk 60-pack of Rayovac batteries after testing showed the USA Rayovac batteries to perform better than Energizer and Duracell. The bulk pack arrived and it was made in Belgium, not the USA. Forward a few weeks and I use the Belgium Rayovac batteries in some christmas decorations and they only lasted two days. After some testing I discovered they are the worst performing ...
Rayovac AA 60-pack for $13.19 - New old stock batteries
มุมมอง 160หลายเดือนก่อน
I recently found an amazing deal on Rayovac AA batteries. A brand that performed exceptionally well in my recent battery tests. $13.19 for a 60 pack. That' only 22 cents each! What's the catch? There has to be something, right? It's still a good deal, IMO, but the batteries were over 4 years old. I've been enjoying my Instant Ink subscription and the printer I was gifted. With coincidental timing the printer started having issues exactly the same time as the HP extended warranty ran out. What shampoo did you use?
fyi the celio breeze max is excellent it works flawlessly most ppl have issues w them because they locate them too far away or not within line of sight to function. do those things they are excellent!
Thanks for the info
Just bought the E-Circuits $3 a pair on the Ds they are much less. Some thermostats require functioning batteries to keep your furnace running so don't cheap out there, but for low drain less critical applications why not.
My thermostat is one of those that requires working batteries. The first time the battery got low I thought my system was messing up. 3am and I couldn’t get it to engage the heat….and it was cold outside and well below what was set for the inside temperature. Unable to sleep thinking of the impending repair costs, I recalled the installer putting batteries in the thermostat when my system was installed. Swapped those out and the heat turned on….why they didn’t include a thermostat battery low warning on the display is beyond me.
Craftsman isn't the same as it was 2+ decades ago when they were known for quality, these days Craftsman is mostly a brand name only riding on historical reputation although some of their stuff does still seem ok. I have had my John Deere LA120 since 2007 and I've had to keep up with numerous issues (some repeat issues) but I got lucky and never had the major failures that the LA series was known for. I'm looking for a new riding mower for 2025 and don't want another John Deere and narrowed it down to a Cub Cadet or Craftsman. I'm frustrated with the limited residential riding mower market because there are only a couple companies that actually make the majority of all mower these days so it hard to escape many common issues. The Craftsman and Cub Cadet are made by the same company and are almost identical except for a couple features. I like the heavier Cub Cadet deck but like the Craftsman 5" steering. The Craftsman S blade is a turn off for me but otherwise the 2200K looks decent and is cheaper than the comparable Cub Cadet XT2 LX42. I think all mowers regardless of brand have their issues and these days are made to fail to drive replacement parts market and probably wont last as long as my LA120 did but TBD. I am interested in the 2200K transmission reverting to an older transmission version unless the "D" actually offers something new and better. Im tired of not having options for quality and hate knowing I have to spend my money on inferior products.
All valid points. D spec isn’t anything special. I spoke with a tech at Tuff Torque and was told the spec is what I had listed, so no Craftsman tuff torque upgraded specs
Very helpful. Thank you!
I work in the energizer factory in Belgium. and the Rayovac battery from Belgium is the same as the Energizer Max battery from Belgium. it's just another label.
That might explain the lower performance vs USA Rayovac batteries. Energizer Max has proven to be a mid-tier (not great/not bad) battery in my testing. The USA Rayovacs I’ve tested and used have been amazing performance. Thanks for the info.
"WARNING BE AWARE " ONCE YOU CANCEL YOUR INK SUBSCRIPTION, HP WILL SEND INFO TO YOUR INK CARTRIDGE, AND YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO PRINT OR USE YOUR PRINTER!!
Only with that cartridge. Which is understandable, since the Instant Ink cartridge would be part of a subscription that is no longer active. Installing a new cartridge (purchases) will make the printer work as normal as a non-subscription printer.
HP is nothing more than a Communist pigs! rip off i canceled my ink subscription now my printer will not work period at all printing, scanning nothing!
Learning this the hard way right now, I always trusted Energizer... but just recently I had 3 batters leak in less than 1 month of use from my most recent bulk pack. I took a look at the most recent pack, all Indonesia labeled, whereas some of my older stock was USA. These batteries didn't just leak a little either, they practically purged every last drop of battery acid! Total devastation! These were in battery powered window candles, 20 batteries in use total, and 3 leaked very bad... less than a month of use!
Ouch. Thanks for sharing
@kev-reviews I'm trying USA made RAYOVAC batteries this time in my window candles, I'll know in another month if they hold up better. I personally am less worried about total power longevity, and more concerned with it not completely self-destructing in my device. For truly high value devices, I am now leaning towards lithium batteries which don't use wet chemistry.
The battery tester will test 9 volt batteries
Are these the small or medium pots?
All my easy plants are small except the second money tree which is a medium
@ ah ok sounds good. Would you recommend the yoko or amber pot? It seems they are the same size but just different dimensions. Yoko skinnier and taller, amber is shorter but wider base. 🫣 curious on what you think?
I don’t make recommendations, but I can share my opinions: My preference for pot type depends on the plant in them. For plants with wider leaves I like the amber. For tall skinny leaves I like the Yoko.
How do you use the washer?!?
Dial on the far right. Dial to desired wash mode and pull out on dial slightly to start the wash
I had thought the Amazon Basics were really good, but after watching this video and another, they don't seem to be as good as I thought. The RayOVacs seem to be consistently quite good, and the prices still seem to be decent, so I'll probably stock up on those in the future.😁
I’m trying to get away from using a microwave. Would this be practical for rehearing leftovers? And coffee?
Great video. You can say that when you know more after watching.
I wanted one when they first came out but never got it. I just got an air frier, which seems like the same idea.
They quit making this model for a while, but I see it’s back recently 🙌
Remember when the mere concept of Made in China was better than Made in the USA was laughable at best? Uhggggg
Voniko i bought died within minutes of use Total junk

I love instant ink as well. Im new. I got a 3month and only still on my startup carts... i just upgraded my 100page to the 300 because the fact if i print over 100 ill get charged a extra 1$ for 10 more pages which i rather just pay another 100 pages and get 100 free by goin to 300 and still get the replacement inks since the ink will be low be4 300 plus in worst case ill get 900 rollover so i can just print like hell after 1month or 2 when i decide to start printing books instead of having them on pdf on my phone or the books i pay for on google books so i can have a collection added to by house library. Still new but so far great specially when i started running out of my beginners carts and i got a box of instant ink like i didnt order these and i still had like 25 prints so i just installed the starter instant and im getting more prints then the ones that came with the printer
I just learned this today from hp tech. Theres a ink cartridge lock advance settings that will normally be set to on but because I master reset mine my carts dont lock. To get to it go to your browser and type the ip address on that printer report since we both got the same exact printer and when you get to the router part just click on your admin and it brings you to a printer set up advances and you go to I 4get but I believe it's settings and supplies and your beable to lock new carts or not lock new carts but for you to get into that your need the printer pin on that report to enter the advanced printer part to get into that. So this is what it says. The Cartridge Protection feature allows cartridges to be permanently protected for use in only one fleet of products or product to help prevent theft. If, after cartridges have been protected, they are moved to a device outside the fleet (fleet based) or to a different printer (printer based), these cartridges will be identified as protected and will have to be replaced to continue printing. Cartridge Protection OnOff Note: When you turn on this feature, all cartridges installed in the printer will be protected. However, if you turn off this feature again, these cartridges will remain protected. Only cartridges installed afterwards will not have cartridge protection enabled.
Does it just stud detect only ? What about the wires does it fail to detect it ?!
The "EUA" means USA in Spanish. "Estados Unidos de América". The non standard letters on those batteries are Russian.
This thing is a piece of trash
Everything I put Rayovac in I end up having to clean because the fucking things ALWAYS leak. I've even seen those AED's straight up put warning stickers saying never to use rayovac batteries.
stop using wasteful throwaway batteriess...
They are recycled. Rechargeables aren’t good for every application. I wouldn’t be able to keep enough rechargeables going to meet the demand.
So you bought cheapo batteries and it turns out they weren't very good. Well color me surprised ;-)
They were the exact same model as the USA Rayovac batteries - which are among the best. There was no way to tell they weren’t USA made pre-purchase.
@kev-reviews alright I'll grant you that's pretty shady. I know of only one battery factory in Belgium and that's owned by Duracell, might it be some kind of license/subcontracting bs? Like, they know they had a dud batch and got rid of it cheap?
Years ago I talked with an importer that had a factory in China making scooters. The brand he sold was the scooters that passed every quality check and were the best of the lot. He would sub brand everything else for others. The scooters were identical in every way except for the stickers….and the fact that the others were basically factory seconds: engines with lower compression tests, plastics with slightly off moldings, etc. Whenever I hear “these are made in the same factory as….” That’s the first thing I always think of. Sometimes the items really are the same, but often I think it’s the 2nd and 3rds that get passed off on the cheaper stuff
@@kev-reviews Over here, it's common knowledge that wafer biscuits of different brands are basically all made in the same factory, just varying the quality/amounts of the ingredients depending on who they're tolling for... I imageine something very similar is going on with your batteries; they just use more "filler"/less of the expensive electrolylte or whatever... I won't pretend to know exactly what makes an AA cell good; but I imagine it costs at least some money ;)
I'm currenty testing this generator as a potential alternative to my tailgater 2 stoke generators and so far, it doesn't appear to produce enough power to start my chest freezer compressor whereas the tailgater has worked fine. This generator is only slightly quieter than the tailgater, perhaps quiet enough to use in a campground but I'm unsure most campgrounds will allow this generator. Noise is improved at lower power requirements in comparison with the tailgater, which is always rather noisey. This gen1000i is louder than the Honda 1000W inverter generator, based on my recollection.
The edge are on sale for 3.69 till Sunday. Better hurry up and stock up lol
Already hit them up. My haul is in this video: RAYOVAC is RAYOBAD? Made in Belgium Rayovac Batteries vs USA Rayovac Batteries - Major Difference! th-cam.com/video/tw6foh9YDpI/w-d-xo.html
I thought it was a big channel with how good the video quality is
Rural kings has a 20 pack of both for 5.99 each
@9:40 I think if you made a big stink about this, they might reconsider, it could very well cost them return customers.
Hopefully, at some point they see this video
The Belgians give 2 years more warranty!
Interesting they do this on the inferior (from my experience) Belgium made versions, but not the better performing USA made batteries. Maybe that’s a tipoff…having to compensate with an extra warranty term they know few (if any) people will claim.
Rayocrap - last ones I had leaked while they were still in the package, never used in any device. I get the cheap Harbor Freight alkaline batteries, they do OK for the money.
Wow. Thanks for sharing. How old were they when they leaked? Edit: by “cheap Harbor Freight alkaline batteries” I assume you’re referring to the Thunderbolt Magnum?
@ - still under the date on the batteries, not yet expired. Yes, the less expensive orange ones, not the pricier blue ones.
I noticed the other day they had the “heavy duty” non-alkaline on clearance. Smart move. That will put the Magnum as their entry level offering and Edge as their premium
Have you tested Aldi's ActivEnergy brand batteries? You can get them for as cheap as 23 cents/each in the 24 packs. I'm sure they're not great, but maybe they're not horrible either.
You need to test based on freshness. I believe all batteries will start to degrade once in storage.
They are all fresh (with the exception of batteries I haven’t used yet). The Rayovac’s that died rapidly were made this year, and have an expiration date of 12/2036
Haha man I really hope you're recycling these.
Yep
Really? more battery?
Really
I've had decent luck with Rayovac in the past few years. I remember growing up they weren't great. Looks like they were acquired by Energizer in 2019. That's most likely when they got better
The USA Rayovacs are amazing - at least based on my experience and testing. The Belgian made Rayovac….im very disappointed
@@kev-reviews Do you know where they sell the Belgian versions? I've only seen the USA around me. Purchase them from Lowes typically
I just saw Belgium made Rayovacs at Lowe’s on Black Friday. The bulk packs. I purchase mine from Walmart.com
Cold weather a factor? You can do some cold weather testing by running your opus outside or in a fridge with a fan. Are all of these alkaline cells? If any are actually carbon-zinc, they will most certainly run down early. With ROV’s, the labels do not clearly state “alkaline”
All are alkaline. I don’t want to ruin my tester by subjecting it to temps it wasn’t designed to operate in. Especially since I’ll eventually be using it as a charger. Edit: if you look on the battery when I showed the Made in Belgium markings you can see the Alkaline labeling…in 3 languages 😁
I overloaded my sportsman 1000 generator on eco mode, and now the engine will not restart. What could be wrong? Just bought this brand new 5 days ago. thanks
Assuming the power toggle is in the on position, it has gas with the valve turned to flow, and has enough oil (low oil can cause auto shutdown,) I would suspect the overload triggered the DC circuit breaker. It’s a button in the front that needs to be reset with a press.
