Hazelnut Hex (ALL CLEAR, no continues)
มุมมอง 2.8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Fun little shmup from The Chunderfins that was recently released for PC (chunderfins.itch.io/hazelnut-hex) and Switch (www.nintendo.com/store/products/hazelnut-hex-switch). You have a shot and a hyper. Shot can be charged to fire a more powerful projectile that can also cancel bullets to an extent. Hypers give score but also make you invincible. Ideally, you wanna use hypers when there are the ...
[former WR] DonPachi 首領蜂 - 70,072,730 with Type C
มุมมอง 8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows my recent private best and world record in DonPachi with Type C. It is the first time I have achieved a score over 70 million points, which is a large improvement over my old WR of 66 million set in 2017. The run was played on an original arcade PCB and streamed live on Twitch. Although there are a couple of mistakes in loop 1 such as a few broken chains and an unfortunate bomb...
DonPachi (Hong Kong Ver) 2-All 香港版 首領蜂 2周ALL
มุมมอง 3.7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This video shows a 2-loop clear of the obscure Hong Kong version of DonPachi. The run was played on an original arcade PCB and streamed live on Twitch. The Hong Kong version is considered much more difficult than the original Japan version mostly due to the higher rank and also a much larger hitbox. I use Type A for this playthrough due to the fast movement but Type B is also a good choice. It'...
Last Hope (Dreamcast) NO MISS
มุมมอง 2.9K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is my no death run of Last Hope played on the Dreamcast. The video also shows off some rudimentary scoring, e.g. defeating the stage 2 boss with a multiplier from the small enemies for a big score boost. This game is often said to be overly difficult. However, just like with any other more traditional shmup, Last Hope's difficulty can be trivialized a lot by memorizing a route through the ...
Pink Sweets ピンクスゥイーツ - Harder Mode Clear [no infinite lives]
มุมมอง 1.3K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a playthrough of Pink Sweets' Harder mode (played on original arcade PCB) without the use of the infinite lives glitch. There's some minimal scoring but the run is mainly aiming at a clear. The run has countless of mistakes throughout but somehow can recover each time. I was trying to trigger the double 1-Up in stage 7 but messed it up and didn't even get a single one. This made the las...
はちゃめちゃファイター Hacha Mecha Fighter 1st loop NO MISS
มุมมอง 1.8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a no death run of Hacha Mecha Fighter (developed by NMK in 1991) played on original arcade PCB. I made use of 30hz autofire for ideal damage output. This game is very resource heavy, meaning it's paramount to have a solid bomb distribution at hand. Particularly in stage 6 you will be confronted with a number of impossible enemy waves so that pre-emptive bombing becomes the key to succes...
Pink Sweets ピンクスゥイーツ - NO MISS
มุมมอง 1.9K3 ปีที่แล้ว
As yet another silly sidequest, I did a no miss run of Pink Sweets, as usual, played on original PCB. Rank was kept as low as possible in order to arrive at stage 6 snakelasers at about 50~60% rank and at the drill section at about 80% rank. From stage 6 boss onwards the game is on max rank. To keep rank low, you can do the following: ① Try to pick up as few items as possible. ② Don't use your ...
Pink Sweets - Extended 2-All Clear [no infinite lives]
มุมมอง 4783 ปีที่แล้ว
Stages 1 and 2 are missing because I was dropping frames very badly during the stream! Here's a sloppy 2-All of Pink Sweets (played on original PCB) without the use of the infinite lives glitch. Made numerous mistakes throughout the run but was able to recover each time. This was more of a proof of concept than a serious endeavor. Due to a glitch, the tower extend in stage 5 can only be trigger...

Touhou But its Breakfast
What a majestic Run! Geez.
I love all Cave shmups, but it will NEVER understand this game. It's such an impossible task for me to sit down and try and learn it. Tried countless times and everytime i find myself giving up. Great run though, amazing (it'd probably be even more so if i'd have a clue about the game) 😅
100 + 200 + 300 + 300 + 300 + 300 red rubies and 1000 gold werer did you get this mobile phone completely disrespected this game
Interesting coincidence to see both JaimersSTG and now Plasmo having a dabble on Psikyo for TH-cam. Does anyone know what is going on with DEL. Looking to get a decent gaming smartphone to play the mobile version of this and Strikers 1945. Both mobile ports are way hard harder and faster bullet hell over the this and arcade versions. From MillsShumps @ London/Uk
It's been some time, Mills! Hope everything's going fine for you. Sadly, I'm not in contact with DEL these days but other people are. I haven't seen him in the usual places lately. I'm sure he'll be back eventually. The sudden increase in Strikers 1999 replays is not a coincidence at all! A couple of us simply remembered how amazing this game is and decided to all play it again together.
it's only 14 minutes and it's already filled with heavy routing, no dead air, can't even take a break after clearing stage. Best luck and nerves for loop 1 consistency and loop 2 clear!
Thanks for the kind comment! This game is indeed very demanding and that's why I like it so much. Loop 2 clear will happen most likely soonish. But this is just a starting point as I want to get a good score, too. I have to make everything as consistent as possible which looks like a great challenge. Let's see how far I can push it.
Nice!! Cannot go wrong with psikyo, this is especially interesting because I haven't seen too much 1999 scoring stuff
Thanks for stopping by, Mark! I definitely want to get a good score in this one but the route as it is, is not quite there yet. The most curious thing about the replay is probably the ship choice. Virtually everyone else is using the secret X-36 ship instead.
I'll definitely keep an eye on your progress because you always find really unique and interesting routes for ships no one else plays ha@@plasmo6903
That's some super clean routing. Do you fix the stage order, or do same route no matter the order?
Thanks for the kind words! It's not as clean as I want it to be but I will work on it to refine it further. I'm playing on an original arcade PCB and I don't know how to manipulate the random stage order. Therefore, the learning and routing process has taken me way longer than I was at first expecting. Since in other Psikyo games, it is (sometimes?) possible to manipulate the stage order, maybe there is a way in Strikers 1999, too. The only thing I know is that a soft reset leads to a default stage order. However, I don't know if I want to reset my PCB each time between runs...
@@plasmo6903 Resetting the PCB each time does sound like that'd get annoying fast haha. Even though its extra time to have to route first few stages at the lower or higher difficulty, I imagine its worth it learning it just be able to start a run without worrying about rng.
Super impressive! I've been wanting to dive deeper into the Psikyo games lately, so this is very inspiring. Is this your favorite Psikyo game?
Thanks for the interest! This is just a start, expect a 2-All soon and then higher scores (no goal yet). I'm gonna play this one for a while. It's probably my favorite Psikyo game, indeed! But I do respect their entire catalogue of games. Other Psikyo games I enjoy a lot are Strikers 1 and 2 as well as the two Gunbirds and Zero Gunner 2. As for some of their other games, I have to spend more time with them first in order to appreciate them more. Dragon Blaze is also considered one of their best and most approachable games.
Dear lord, this game turns into pure bomb spamming at some point.
💗2024May17💗
I don't care what anyone says, i love the announcer in this game. 😊
WR is achieved by Chibarei(sp.) with a kansuto score of 99999990.
How bullet crazy do you want this game to be? More than Cuphead.
Amazin’STG by TSUNEKI IKEDA;-D
Fun Fact: Nat is voiced by Stephanie Komure. The one who voiced Patricia Wagon from this WayForward game, Mighty Switch Force. If you know that before.

Big Burn: BOMBER!! BOMBER!! BOMBER!!😡
Plasmo, I've been meaning to ask you - how are the bonus popcorn enemies triggered at 15:55 instead of the third big grey ship?
The basic idea behind the despawn is a sprite limit overflow which you can achieve during high amounts of slowdown. It is already important to take out the first ship exactly as I do in the video in order to be able to pointblank the second ship and make it transition to phase 2 ASAP. This will trigger the missiles - the most important part of the trick. The hitbox of these big ships is actually bigger than the sprite itself, so standing right next to it at the top of the screen is very risky! When making the missiles circle around you, you have to destroy the second big enemy exactly the moment the missiles are about to hit you as well. Use your laser at this time and keep lasering the missiles to create extra slowdown. Make sure to not kill any of the incoming small enemies and stay on the side of the screen for as long as possible. Eventually, the number of enemies and bullets on screen is so high that no further sprite can spawn and the game decides to just throw dozens of small planes at you. This chain only works if you haven't died before because otherwise the small enemies are not shooting enough bullets to reach the sprite limit overflow. It's somewhat of a difficult chain to learn but can be made reasonably consistent with enough visual cues. The most difficult part is to not get hit during pointblanking the second big ship as random bullets will appear right into your face. Let me know if this is clear enough. I could try to do an audio commentary on this chain again if needed. Good luck!
@@plasmo6903 thank you so much! What a complicated trigger! Makes complete sense. Sorry for the belated reply! Can't wait to see you stream again soon. I'm getting close to making more scoring progress but still scuffling in the low 20s.
@@plasmo6903 I saw in other superplays of this game, where they show the max HIT counter where the GP is. How did they do that?
Rule34 game
Breakfast is for poofs, but this is such a good game. The pacing is perfect. I can't believe it's the dev's first game. I've only just bought it at the w/end and I've already spent more time on it than Cotton Fantasy and Cotton Reboot combined.
Nice! I'm really digging the cute atmosphere + saturized graphics. Music also fits perfectly. Obviously the squirrel is my fav character~
Its pretty impressive scoring run❤
THIS IS NOT SIMILATION. GET READY TO DESTOROY THE ENEMY. TARGET FOR THE WEAK POINTS OF F&&KIN' MACHINE. DO YOUR BEST YOU HAVE EVER DONE.
While when playing I grumble that I don't have a certain catboy from Neko Navy's speed and shot properties, the music and vibes of this game make me smile all the same. Stage 2 using the lost city of Atlantis to play into a Vapourwave joke is inspired.
Honestly, congrats for TWO reasons.. not only the improvement to WR, but also the fact you can withstand this game's music. Every time I get the urge to play Donpachi, I make it a little further, learn more and more.. yet the brick wall is always the damn music. This game desperately needs an M2 release so we can have the uncompressed audio on a modern platform.
Fortunately, I enjoy the music of DonPachi quite a bit! It's one of my favorite shmup OSTs. Music is really important to me and I can definitely relate to your comment. If I don't like an OST, I'm probably not staying for long with a game. Either way, M2 port is desperately needed.
@@plasmo6903 Oh, I should probably clarify: I do enjoy the Saturn music. The soundtrack is pretty nice when you can actually hear the drums. Stage 4 in particular is so different between arcade and Saturn.
1:20 the face on that giant bee when you murder it, lol I want to see CAVE do Dodonpachi but as a ridiculous cute 'em up parody now
I skipped breakfast this morning, now I understand where I ve gone wrong ha. Cool looking game :-)
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Please remember to always eat breakfast!

But never #schoolshooters
Congrats! This was a fantastic run, really enjoyable! 21:26 Impressive! 19:03 LOL I love this little chain, didn't think there could be anything interesting to do there XD
many people think "this game has been out too long for me to be able to do anything to improve it" but that is not true! Glad you did this run to show us there is still more places to get score even in 2022
Thanks for your interest! The scoring system in this game is very open-ended so with enough creativity there's always a higher score to be obtained. This run in particular had quite a few mistakes. The scoring potential with my current route would net me close to 80 million. I'm positive higher scores even beyond that barrier are possible but this would require a lot of new research first.
Congrats brother! This is amazing!
Thanks man!
Plasmo, your tastes are impeccable as is this run, now do it with bakraid
Bakraid No Miss actually sounds like an interesting challenge! I'll keep that one in mind, thanks for the suggestion!
I enjoyed watching the wonderful video. Obviously, bullets are scary from 2-1.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! The revenge bullets during the loop are most fierce when you control type C. Type A has a much easier time here due to the speed.
I miss the wingly the base only 🤣
Another world record !!!! You now own donpachi, cave should be transferring the copyright to you soon
I'd say this game is of questionable quality; but your skills sure aren't. Dude, GG!
Thanks for the GGs! I also agree that this game does have many flaws. I do like the atmosphere it creates and the soundtrack though.
Crazy run, a lot like this game. I like how it sounds the same whether you're credit feeding or going for the WR. MAMA! NO!!
Playing this game for score is indeed one of the silliest things you can do! Also a lot of fun.
do you enter the 2-loop after 1-loop nomiss? just like Muchi Muchi Pork
No, the regular game does not have a 2nd loop at all. To play a 2-loop version of the game you have to hold DOWN on the title screen when starting the game. This lets you select "Extended Mode". You will automatically reach the 2nd loop in this mode; there are no loop requirements. There are two more special modes you can play: Hold UP to play "Harder Mode" (harder version with revenge bullets, 1 loop) and A+B for "Score Attack" (Caravan Mode of stage 6)
@@plasmo6903 Thank you!
Really masterful gameplay. I haven't had a chance to comment because I wanted to watch the whole thing from start to finish, and I gotta say, it was well worth it to appreciate how refined your scoring technique is. Loop 1 is much harder when you have to leave enemies alive so they can create key chains, and mastering the timing to soften up multiple larger enemies so you can then chain kill them... it's really solid gameplay. The chains at the beginning and end of Stage 5 in both loops are especially incredible and probably the highlight of the run. The way you handle the Loop 2 bosses is no less incredible. Getting through Stage 2, Loop 2's boss without bombs never ceases to impress me, to say nothing of how you handle the TLB expertly. That death at 46:00 was unfortunate, it looked like you were trying to setup for a scoring chain?
Thanks for the kind words! I'm very glad you enjoyed the run. It's been a very long journey to reach the routes I now have. Yet, it's not as refined as it could be. I'll continue to work on this project in the future. The weird first death in 2-5 was mostly because of nerves at this point. The adrenaline rush made me misjudge my vertical position, which was a tad too high. The resulting loss from this was quite severe as I was forced to not only give up on the chain itself (-300k) but also drop the succeeding chain on the big turret (-1.4mil). Needless to say I missed another 1mil due to losing out on the end bonus for this life. At the very least, I'd like to land a similarly paced run while also getting the 2-4 capacity bonus to break through 75mil. Realistically, I don't expect to reach the big 80mil barrier. Only time will tell.
"Now that is real cool!" - DonPachi announcer, after seeing the impressive score.
Plasmo. This is absolutely insane. I don't even know what else to say lol. Is the 2-4 capacity even possible with type c?
Glad you liked it! The 2-4 capacity bonus is very difficult to get with Type C (both A and B have an easier time here) but it is definitely possible. I have gotten it once before.
Stage 2 soundtrack is awesome, nice vid
Wow. Look at the size of that hitbox! So, why don't you pick up the bees?
@Джет Марс - Все серии (Осторожно, вспышки) I've been playing Donpachi for 15+ years and I never knew the bees increased rank. Dynamic difficulty is so obnoxious!
@@HunterTinsleyfyi you don't want to do that if you play Japan version. It doesn't matter really. Might as well go for extra few bits of score .
Nice
Bullet is So fast.
My goodness. Just watched this and it's a very incredible way to end the year. Not even the console ports and the original variant of the PCB compares to the difficulty of this region. And yeah, how many attempts did it take to clear this version?
It's a tricky clear for sure but if you put in the time and effort it's very much doable. I've spent most of the time routing the game as there were no resources around whatsoever. All playtime combined the clear took me less than 150 hours. But also keep in mind that I've had lots of experience with the Japan version before that.
Wow, Glückwunsch, Plasmo! Hattest beim Shmup Community Treff II im CGT erwähnt, dass du das gerade spielst. Sieht nach enorm striktem Routing aus. Wahnsinn!
Wow this is insane!!! So this is what you have been up to ha
