why record audio with a background noise ? FFS
I have just gone to use mine and its blocked. This is my 3rd and last Karcher. My first was mains powered and the motor packed in after 13 months then I bought a battery version and that stopped charging after 13 months then I have gone back to mains power and its not spraying water. Thats why I am here!
Thanks, that was an easy £12 fix
really poor quality of device. after 2 years of using it is dead.
My Touran just stopped blowing air too, none. Could this be the case also?
Thank you, dud. Clear instructions. However, you don’t have to remove all the plastic housing. You could just remove the bottoms (the black cover/splash shield + the yellow plastic cover on top of it) to access the tube and the nozzle.
I would like to ask if you have a video also for FC7 thank. Congratulation for you video very very useful

Még egy ilyen hitvány mocsok szemét terméket!! Azt tervezem szétverem amit rögzítek és felnyomok a Youtubra...nagy megkönnyebbülés lenne, lehet sor kerül rá!
What controls the water flowing down to the nozzle? There doesn't seem to be anything that controls when the water flows. And how is it pressurised to make it spray water?
Watch part 3
Thx mate. I will try
Helped me loads!! Thanks for that!
More than welcome Thank you

we just blew to the small black tube and it opened. Didn't have to open the whole thing. Just the two screws holding the tube. 💨👍

Getting ready to go in garden & food ,
After using my fc 5 any excess clean water drips through until the tank is empty. Is this correct
There may be a bit of debri or even material round the tank base or where it goes throw then bottle placed in place
#expansiontank #watertank
thank you, gave me all the Information I needed to strip clean and put back together
More than welcome
My spin scrubber stopped working. If I connect the motor directly to the power supply it works. When it's assembled no power past the battery contacts. Anybody have any ideas?
See if the connections are clean , if possible use a volt meter over the 2 holes in the blue head turn in check power coming throw.
Fantastic Video thanks- have exactly the same problem and this will allow to fix it. :)
Thank you
Thanks for your videos, helped me clear the spray pipe in ours.
More than welcome
Man, useful video, but nextime please record on wide display, not standing pleas..And speak clearly pleas, it's barely to hear you. Though thanks.
thanks for this, great video. i have the opposite problem where the pipe constantly drips and drains the clean tank even when not using the machine. it never used to do this, so i have no idea what is broken!
How did you fix it? I’ve fixed pipe clamp problem but now water constantly dripping…
@@carex1 my "fix" involves taking the clean water tank off when I've finished! I've tried a new clean water tank, and also new foam filter. Neither made any difference
Did you figured it out why iz leaks all the time? Tnx
@@samosorli7218 no mate, I gave up! Have to remove the tank unless it's empty now
@@stuartwilliams3071 same here...
Thanks. This worked for me an saved me buying a new machine.
More than welcome . Subscribe for other to come projects
Thanks for this it did help but I didn’t fancy the half day to sort this problem. If you take the brush housing off by pressing the grey button you get to see a brass jet. This is what blocks with cleaning fluid because it is ridiculously narrow. Get a small drill and clear it and make it a bit larger. Thing works a treat then. Tip. After cleaning is finished half fill the fluid tank with warm water and flush through the system for a few mins to stop the cleaning fluid blocking up. Won’t buy another. Pain in the arse!
Brilliant - worked a treat!
Thanks mate! Helped me fix mine too!
Thanks! This helped me fix this exact problem!
You are more than welcome thank you
Good at cleaning bad at lasting broke within two years
My fc5 dead. Only blinking...
I beleave the motor will only ha e a certain expectancy on the brushs prior to needing brushs , not sure if it was brushless . Possible connector loose or need unplugging and re plugging terminals . Hope this helps
The big button that releases the yellow top of the head (see 2:46) clamps the hose if it's not fully engaged. Check that before stripping it down, like I just did.. the pipe wasn't blocked, it was clamped off by the button not engaging properly.
The pipe on mine got blocked again. This time I just took the brass jet off the end of the pipe, removed the water bottle and filter, then used a plastic syringe with a conical end to blow the blockage out. 5 minute job!
Thanks, ours had a blockage in the same place. I just took the roller cover off, unscrewed the brass jet and blew through it, something came out the pipe and it works perfectly again.
I'll try that first ..thanks
Maybe a little bit strange, but this and part 2 helped me, to open this f**n machine :) Thanks!
Thank you
Thank you. Excellent video which has solved my problem on both my machine. However I did manage to unblock the pipe without taking off the main housing. Just had to take off the black surrounding at the bottom and blew the pipe out.
I blew the pipe out with injection and water behind the jet, remove the 2 screws blow water in the black tube and its clean now,
This machine is just absolute shit. I bought one myself but it is absolutely my very last Karcher
mine is not working either so shit
Same here, So shit, same no water issue.
@@kyba74 I tried contacting their customer service but is non-existent - you can only talk to them via the chat option so annoying
Drop it off I'll fix and charge you if easier
This slipping clutch sound is familiar tome. Two units in 3 years lost to bearing corrosion: th-cam.com/video/kZec5nYdlxY/w-d-xo.html Now, that water (formula) problem is very common. The brass nozzle corrodes and lime builds on it. A few drops of limestone removal in upside-down position, a needle, lots of patience. The mechanism is quite clever. It will not let water go thru when the yellow roller cover is removed. The latch of that cover pinches the rubber tube that feeds liquid by gravity. So unless you act on it it like the cover would do, no water will flow. Well hidden in the cover are 2 rubber membranes. They are actuated by the vacuum and open the valves to let the water flow. If their malfunction is suspected, soak the roller cover in diluted limestone remover for a few hours. Or pop the screws to disassemble it. Overall a good but holly unreliable device, engineered with programmed obsolescence in mind. Good luck !
I can’t get mine working again. When I take off the bottom cover and lift up the little notch, water starts dripping. When I put back the cover, no water flows. I already disassembled that f**King thing like 10 times, everything is clean, but still no water.
No a reliable device.... have the same problem after using a few times only
I put a meter on the two contacts on the handle (looks like holes on an outlet) and the voltage is 3.7 volts. That motor looks fairly beefy. Curious what it would think if I put 12 volts to it.
Hello, my FC5 doesnt spray water at all. What can i do?
clean the tube with injection and water
There will be a simple blockage in the thin black tube behind the neck of the machine . I stripped mine
can actually unblock spray pipe without taking apart whole machine. I just managed to release the jet from the bottom of the pipe and then used a ball pump from the top end to pump air through clearing the pipe Then put the jet back on end of pipe screwed it in place and machine was good to go like new. Just 2 screws undone and redone though out whole process of just a few mins. Just need to careful with pipe while removing jet and replacing it. Dont want to stretch it too much or risk tearing in or pulling it out from top connection.
I can recommend using canned air rather than a bicycle pump. There are canned air nozzles that fit right into the hose or outside of the jet.
i fix it with pressing water with injection shot after release the 2 screws from jet, removing pipe from jet put injection into pipe.
Foot pump with ball inflator nozzle attached worked fine for me! Thanks to all for this tip. I have been a big fan of this machine which has been fine for 4 years.

Thanks for the hint! I removed the lower end and noticed that the brass part was blocked, used a needle to open the hole.
was it working in the end? hard to tell on video.
Yes still using to this day
Had same problem today, took off the yellow plastic jet cover, used car tyre electric inflater with a needle nosed adaptor to jet some air down through the rubber pipe. Blockage cleared in a few seconds, water then came through okay. Looks like this will be an ongoing nuisance with this design. This is the second time in 4 months I have had to unblock feeder pipe.
Thank You! This helped me today! 😉
@@tossaja no, cleared ok without needing to remove jet
@@tossaja Sam, not used mine for 6 wks, tried it today to help with your problem. Guess what, blocked jet! A bike pump is not strong enough, need 12 volt power plus a needle jet. Remove water dispenser and circular plastic/foam washer which sits below the water container. Hold needle jet in tight. Did this today and got water through again. This is a positive pain so I'm going for another brand. I did not even use detergent last time I used it so seems minute particles of whatever just block the pipe/ jet. Good luck mate.
I tried pumping air down the tube and it seems to have worked. Now, whenever the unit is upright and the grey clip isn't clamping the tube, water constantly dribbles through the tube. I'm not sure if it's meant to flow all the time, but it's getting the rollers wet and that's a definite improvement. There's no "jet" though, just gravity doing it's thing.
@@illingn I have binned my unit now, bought an H20, Karcher was just too much hassle to persevere. Expensive cleaner that was unreliable.
I would like to buy one Can you tell me how much the battery lasts please
It's good for them hard to reach places lasts a while I use on bike . Dogs paws all sorts that what it's made for and some
Just done the exact same fix to mine . Thanks for the vid bud .
Wouda been nce to see how you got the motor out!
Once the screws are removed from behind the head . Then it all comes out as one unit and then the gearbox separates. Watch the cogs as to not lose any . Bit quite straight forword .
Cheers
Ive taken out all screws in sight. Cant get that motor to even wiggle. What screws are you talking about?
