I do video game stuff - glitch and strat hunting, and sometimes speedruns.
Most of my SM64 content should be assumed to be tool-assisted, even if it doesn't say so in the title. For most other games, I'm usually too lazy to TAS things so do them RTA or demonstrate them with debug instead, unless specified in the title.

World of Goo 2 - Mutable Crucible (4 seconds)
Not much to comment on about this level itself other than that this is a luck record. 3s might be possible if you can clip a lava straight through to the bomb while still keeping the structure from getting yeeted into oblivion.
I used higher camera key panning values in the configuration file than the defaults, in this case 16 acceleration and max speed instead of 1 acceleration and 8 max speed. So far this sort of thing has been allowed in records so I used it here, even though I'm personally not a huge fan of using faster camera settings. I don't think it actually contributed very much to this particular record though.

The main annoyances for me in grinding this level are that the balloons get in the way, and when you go to reset after messing up the thwacking it's really easy to accidentally click the sign... and then you have to spam click through all the text that you've already read several times now......

yeah, it really isnt much of a "challenge" level at all like the other two pre-finale levels, or the three pre-finale levels of the original game's epilogue. it's just kind of there, lol

the range where you can place gooballs at approx. maximum distance is more forgiving in the original from what myself and others could tell
I'll never understand how you guys can push that goo without ever getting a connection, you are cheating just say it.
As long as you're moving the cursor swiftly enough as you let go of a gooball, it can never form a new addition to a structure. I think it's also worth noting that I did accidentally make an easily avoided unwanted move at the very start of this video that forced me to restart the level again :P I only upload the attempts that succeed, and the attempts that fail all just pile up on my hard drive for archival purposes.

Yeah, I'm not sure why this level made it into chapter 5 like this - compared to Hot Springs and Upward Trajectories, this level is hardly a challenge and its intended gameplay is very simple too.

They’ve done really well making the goo balls, much more stable and useful since the first game. But the goo itself has never been a game prior and thus is completely broken beyond repair, causing some funny things to happen.

I can see why they call it Jugglers, you thought it was the map juggling but this guy took that one step further
On versions of this game with multiplayer, you can make a group of golf gooballs double jump by grabbing one gooball in the group with one controller and another gooball with the other controller. Theoretically, you could get a quadruple jump with 4 controllers. Idk if this speeds any levels up, but i hope it helps! (sorry if this has been found already)

Sorry for the late response, I meant to reply to you soon after you left your comment but apparently I never actually sent it. I think that's a pretty neat trick and it could probably be used to do a couple levels faster than normally possible with a single cursor, but I don't know if it would be able to qualify for the regular IL leaderboard record or if it'd be made its own category or whatever. Being able to manipulate multiple balls at once could potentially be a pretty big advantage in general (yet to be seen) and most of the game's current community plays on PC. To be clear, you're still absolutely allowed to try and do records or full game speedruns on Switch on the existing leaderboards. There just might be questions about putting them with the PC records if you were to, say, use 3 controllers at once to do Jugglers 0 moves by thwacking with all three controllers simultaneously or something (Jugglers 0 moves appears to be literally impossible by thwacking with a single cursor. No idea if 3 cursors is enough)
