One more for you G,one night we were playing in a little club in Northern Ontario in Canada that was so far north we actually saw the Northern Lights there, anyways a lady approached me,half snapped and told me she was Kiss's manager, well I usually go along with liars so I said that's pretty cool and she said yea it is and we talked for awhile and then it was time to go play, now the next morning we were all talking about her and I found out she put all her drinks that night on our soundman's tab!,LOL,well of course our soundman Sean was not to pleased, poor Sean! By the way G,something I don't believe I mentioned to you before is that my manager back in the 70's played in a band from the 60's called the Paupers and they were managed by Bob Dylan's manager Albert Grossman, anyways my manager dated Linda McCartney when she was still Linda Eastman and he actually sent Paul and Linda a tape of the band I was in,she replied back that they couldn't help us because Paul at the time was between labels,I doubt they ever heard us but at least Linda reponded, our manager Chuck was a good guy. @@GsBeatlesWings Yes G,Chuck's band the Paupers came within a breath of making it really big, even Brian Epstein checked them out, they should have been huge and they even played at the Monterrey Pop Festival and were introduced by David Crosby of the Byrds, they had technical problems on stage and rather then stopping and fixing it they kept on playing and totally bombed, they had played in New York earlier and supposedly blown the Jefferson Airplane off the Stage, their drummer Skip Prokop later went on and had hits in Canada in another Canadian band Lighthouse,it just shows you how a little thing here or there can make or break a band. Was curiousa about the Rickenbacker guitar George bought while visiting his sister Louise in Illinois. I don't recall that story. The one I do know about was months later, when The Beatles made their first visit to the U.S. George was sick for a couple of days during that visit, but a representative from the RIckenbacker company stopped by with a few guitars to show John, since John was playing Rickenbacker guitars at the time. When John saw the guitars the rep. had brought over, John passed on them, but told lthe rep. George might be interested in them. It turned out that George was interested in the 12-string RIckenbacker that was brought over, so he took the 12-string from the rep.

George bought the Guitar in Benton Illinois in 1963. He had it refinished in black to match Lennon's. It was the Guitar he played on I Want To Hold Your Hand. He, eventually gave it to George Peckham. Since I love to spout trivia: To Album collectors albums engineered by Pecham are known as "Porky Cuts" he is renowned as one of the best engineers in the music business. He startes as a trainee for Apple Records and has worked on manny of the Beatles albums as well as teir solo work. I have several "Porky Cuts" one that come to mind is King Crimson's "In The Court Of The Crimson King" (1970) . Great album!

I'm sorry but Sky High to me doesn't sound anything like real McCartney nor does Keane or Pilot. You seem like a young person and probably haven't grown up with Paul's voice. I just did a cover of Paul's Friends To Go and so people think that I sound like Paul, but I know better. I copy his inflections but Paul's voice is distinct. I notice that some people also mix up Paul's voice with John, although to me they are day and night different. A very nice show but we can agree to disagree and still a big like from me.

Two songs to mention: 10CC's Things We Do For Love was all over the radio at one time. A dead on Paul McCartney knock off. This second one is more obscure but is an absolutely ambitious Paul McCartney knock off down to the last detail. This is Paul McCartney in his most grandiose style done by Klaatu. The song is is Sub Rosa Subway. Check it out. Paul McCartney has an album called Red Rose Speedway. Maybe they were referencing this album? Klaatu's first album gained Gold Record Status in sales mostly because of the Rumor that the band was really the Beatles in disguise. This album contains Sub Rosa Subway.

Eric Stewart of 10cc did go on to work on Paul McCartney's later solo albums. By the way, Headline Hustler off 10cc's self-titled debut album could almost be a Wings track - sort of a Paperback Writer sequel where the man in the song thinks the gutter press is the way to go.

Hi G, I would never disagree with you on anything Beatlesque. The clips are too short for for my brain to register. Grateful Dead I might.... Just got to the part RE Copyrights. Speaking of copyrights and the Grateful Dead, did you know they allowed people to bring recording equipment to their Concerts? They even had special sections where you had to sit to record. I will go listen to the extended versions, the I'll come back and say: WOW you are Right! 😁☮

Who was Peter Brown? Judas in the Beatles story thanks to his collaboration with a sleazy writer Steven Gaines in the tell-all book The Love You Make (aka The Muck You Rake). I heard an interview with Gaines that wasn't that old and he STILL hadn't gotten over Linda having hairy armpits and unshaven legs in the 1970s!. Sexist misogynist dinasaur much!
