    Does it matter how long you leave it charging? Or will it stop when full on its own? Thx

    • @1_RC
      @1_RC 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Eventually the charge cycle is meant to complete, and it will say “Finished”, and have a bleeping sound to alert you. The amount of amps it draws decreases near the end as it finishes. However I found to be honest it never really completes like even after 20 hours so I would just turn it off after the amps it is drawing drops to 0.5 / 0.6 (you can see on the charger display). Takes a good few hours if the battery is pretty discharged.

    The original Das Mikro ones were clones of the 241FH but later ones are clones of the 212FHG meaning they have a gyro built in and there's no way of adjusting it or turning it off completely. Das Mikro don't list anything about it Nd there's no way of telling if it's a gyro version when buying sadly.

    Ah my first competition grade buggy! It was a clear match for any Yokomo or Schumacher way back in 89! I think it can still compete with the more modern cars with a few upgrades and fine tuning. Bigger wheels and wider tires etc. I think your car needs a little tuning on the shocks, tires, wheels and loosening up the clutch a bit...and yes a gun type transmitter would help a lot. This made me take out my old Lazer ZX for a cleaning. I'll probably post a video soon of an overhaul and mods I made way back when I was still rc racing. Champion car!!!

    • @1_RC
      @1_RC 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      it may be ‘cogging’ if you look that up. basically cheaper sensorless motors aren’t smooth at low rpm. they are better once they get going. so probably not ideal for crawling in particular, as you intentionally want to go slow. Unfortunately you may need a more pricey sensored ecu and motor set up.

    • @1_RC
      @1_RC 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a KO Propo esprit 4 so the module is integrated ie not changeable? It has a KR-413FH receiver. If you have converted an earlier model eg an esprit 2 or 3 then you need FrSky XHT ACCST D8 DIY Module from t9hobbysport.com I used a FrSky DHT 2.4ghz DIY Module with a FrSky V8R4-II 2.4Ghz 4 Channel Receiver in my esprit 2 but it no longer available and has changed to the XHT I understand.

  • @RobertNES816

    I've found something interesting. There's two versions of the GoolRC 60 amp ESC. This version you have here and another with a push button on off switch and a different fan and fan cover. The version you have seems to have much better acceleration while the other version has a lesser amount of power output off the line. Just something I've observed. Both ESC have been programmed the same way with the program card.

    • @moostachio8394
      @moostachio8394 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just saying I hear that they’ve got some medium power system so if you full throttle at the start your car won’t flip over, says u can program somewhere in the programming card

  • @deslos
    @deslos 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, very nice video! I have the goolrc esc 60A, and when I start it (having the throttle full max) it starts beeping constantly (red light blinking too). Then moving it to neutral, I hear 3 beeps, and the constant beeping stops. After that, only forward works, reverse does not. I use a Flysky FS-i6X transmitter. Any ideas?

    • @1_RC
      @1_RC 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry don’t know. But make sure you try reverse twice as the 1st time it just stops the ecu then the next occasion actually makes it go backwards. So you need to go reverse > neutral > reverse to actually go backwards.

    • @deslos
      @deslos 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@1_RC you are right! everything works (and used to work). It is the 2nd time that goes backwards! thanks a lot for your prompt reply!

      Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same issue with mine.

    • @deslos
      @deslos 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@subarubrett you have to move the throttle to neutral (middle) for 1 sec first, then moving backwards works. In general, to change direction, you stop the throttle to zero first.

    I can’t get mine to work. It just makes some kind of musical bleeping sound for a few seconds and then I can barely get the wheels to spin - any thoughts? I’m running an nimh batt but that shouldn’t matter? Esc is identical to yours

    • @1_RC
      @1_RC 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nimh might be knackered if it’s old. I would try different batt if poss. However it’s also poss motor is fubared. Ideally you should swap it with a known good one. Other than that nothing you can do really except check connectors thoroughly

    Did you paint the shell or just leave it as black plastic?

    • @1_RC
      @1_RC 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mr Doofa it is painted. I used a plastic primer from Halfords first 2 coats, then other spray paint colours over that. The black plastic as it comes is not really that great - it looks like plastic, so needs to be sprayed

    • @1Stunna2323
      @1Stunna2323 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you lightly sand the body first before spraying the primer? I’m new to this body painting stuff from Tamiya. The point of the primer is so that the paint can stick to it right?

    • @mrdoofa9357
      @mrdoofa9357 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@1Stunna2323 You can sand it first, personally I don’t bother, in fact I don’t prime it either!!! I just put the paint straight on to the plastic using very light coats to avoid paint runs, I apply each coat just while the previous coat is still slightly tacky so it sticks better. I then apply decals and job done!!! I might use a bit more care if my models were shelf queens but mine are runners.
