We’re flying out to Athens Friday for long weekend and staying at Mona are there more back street shops , we found Noble last time but it wasn’t open , also temp says about 18 and sunny to us from uk that’s warm is it accurate ?

So the first thing I noticed when I visited Glyfada last year is how quiet it is!!! I grew up in Glyfada and when I was a kid I constantly had to cover my ears as the planes landing were right overhead because the runways of the old Athens airport were only three streets to the north 😂 Also the Macdonald’s was AB Vasilopoulos a grocery market! It is even more beautiful now than I remember! I was so privileged growing up there and didn’t even know it 😂 Thank you for the beautiful memories and video!

Estoy maravillado el parecido con Buenos Aires. La infrastructura, las calles, los autos, los carteles, los locales, el piso, los caminos, todo, todo. He visto muchas ciudades de toda Europa pero sin ninguna duda atenas es la más parecida a Buenos Aires. Mejor dicho es literalmente lo mismo 😮

Is it really that bad and dangerous to walk around Omonia? I am planning on traveling to Athens one day. When I search for trips that include flight and hotel on Expedia, the results show a cheap hotel, with good facilities and with good reviews located in Omonia. It’s called New Amaryllis Hotel and is located on Veranzerou street, near the square. It has all the things that I need included and its central location makes it easier for my to walk around the city and visit the places of interest. Is it really THAT bad and unsafe? What about the Omonia metro station? Is it possible to wait for the train on the platform without being robbed or mugged? What about mornings, late afternoons and evenings?

Great walk to Glyfada❤❤❤

I was working at a hotel in Omonia for a bit more than four years. The last two years I was starting my shift at 4 in the morning so I had to be on the street at around 3 in order to go to my work. I vividly remember the prostitutes rushing to the sides of my bike whenever the traffic lights turned red. Omonoia is dangerous but it allures me for some reason. I feel its like the city heart beatting.

Middday by june,july or august is impossible to walk in athens, seems beeing in an oven. Really is better stop in a taverna and have the best food and wine of your life.Then go to sleep till evening and go out for fun in a kafeteria or bouzoukia.great video, cheers from Brasil🇧🇷
