I remember very well these inofficial streets where the local Athenian drug user are....summer 2010...streets of drug trafficking ...presonis ...refugees. female drug user who must sell their bodies.. Crack and the Krokodil ....it is the hell of Athens...the backyard.

Omoneia square has two faces...one is cleaned up for the media...the other poor face is hidden...

This is very beautiful, the one think I dislike about Athens is the graffiti ! The Greek people are known for their clean homes and presentation !

Δεν ξέρω τι θα γίνει με αυτά τα ο θεός να τα κάνει graffiti έχει παραγίνει το κακό.. επειδή μεγάλωσα αμερική και δέχομαι συχνά φίλους αμερικάνους ενώ στην κυριολεξία όλοι τους!!! ξετρελαίνονται με την αθήνα έχω ζευγάρι φίλων που πρέπει να είναι το 5ο καλοκαίρι που θα ρθει γιατί είναι μία πόλη που έχει βουνά θάλασσα απίστευτη νυχτερινή ζωή απλά έχει τα πάντα και σου χαλάει η εικόνα με αυτά τα γαμημένα γκράφιτι οι γνωστοί από την αμερική συνέχεια μου λένε τα ίδια πράγματα γιατί δεν κάνετε κάτι με αυτή την κατάσταση χαλάει όλη την εικόνα.. καταλαβαίνω ότι αν τα βάψουν σε 10 μέρες πάλι έτσι θα γίνουν πρέπει να σκεφτούν πιο ριζοσπαστικά δεν θα ήταν άσχημη ιδέα να απαγορευτούν τα spray και οι ανεξίτηλοι μαρκαδόροι να είναι μόνο για επαγγελματίες με επίδειξη ταυτότητας κατά την αγορά και με πολύ βαριά πρόστιμα μπορεί να μην εξαλειφθεί αλλά σίγουρα θα βελτιωθεί αυτή η κατάσταση νισάφι πια χαλάει όλη την εικόνα της πόλης από αυτά τα μαλακισμένα

I used to walk in Omonia in the evenings... Nothing happened , thanks God. There are many countries which have such a dangerous streets. Thats okay. Love Greece and Greek people. 🇬🇪❤️🇬🇷

Just like a North American city, no one walking the streets. No interaction.

Brings back happy memories of leaving the airport early one morning and driving up by the Gulf, over the Rion Bridge and to Nafpaktos for breakfast. Onto Missolonghi, Astakos and far away to the Bay of Actium. What a great holiday that was...

well generally the vast majority of the local population usually don't pass through those regions of central Athens. But anyway even in other parts of the city, when you see the majority of Greek and other Balkan youths, are getting from bad to worse.........
