What makes your knees feel better?
For me regular walking, stretches, glute exercises help against knee stiffness. I don’t rely on any medication, have tried injections but no significant results. I have acupuncture several times per year as well. Sitting around too much is not good.

Sitting with knees bent and walking. The more i walk the more pain I have later. It doesnt always hurt to walk but sometimes it makes me limp.😢

Is a baby aspirin ok to take daily?
@Lyn777 ~ great question! It’s the prolonged use of anti-inflammatories that interfere with knee health. The purpose of taking a daily baby aspirin is usually for cardiovascular (heart) reasons, and *not* anti-inflammation. An over-the counter anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen (Advil is one brand name) is roughly 2.5 times stronger than a baby aspirin. When someone is taking something like Advil, they typically take 2 or 3 tablets every 6 hours, or 4 tablets every 8 hours (versus a single baby aspirin each day). Moreover, prescription anti-inflammatories are even stronger than this.

@@mariamcbean8335 the answer depends on how strong someone’s knees are. If walking causes increased pain/stiffness/swelling, then walking slower may be helpful. Following this zero-cost Guide may be even more helpful: enjoystrongerknees.com

I walk backwards up a small hill at our dog park. The slope is likely 10-15 degrees.
thank you so much!! im 39M just got this injection 4 days ago Dr didnt say anthing just take easy for a few days, i work on a restaurant as a waiter am on my feed for about 5-6 hours do you think a week is enough to rest ? as in today it feels alot better but theres this weird feeling in my knee

What are the other options? Walk on your toes? I don't think so.
@marvinfalikovic4177 ~ you're right; walking on your toes would be extremely awkward. (On the other hand, forefoot running -- versus heel strike running -- has become more common.) Very interesting. I've had a magnetic resonance imaging MRI They found I have "Grade II injury (partial rupture) of the anterior cruciate ligament, according to the A.M.A. classification". Would it be an impediment to do this exercise? Or it would be beneficial for my knee ?
@agustinmarquez9975 ~ a rowing machine is potentially beneficial for someone with a grade II ACL injury, given their knee joint cartilage is sufficiently strong.
Very interesting. I understand the better knees method is targeted to strengthen the cartilage in the joints. What will be your recomendation for legaments and tendons ?
@agustinmarquez9975 ~ in most cases, improving the activation and strength of stabilizing muscles and tendons will support grade II ACL injuries.

@@lisbethsalander1723 both are beneficial given they feel good or neutral. (More range of motion is available for most people when using a furniture mover- soothing a greater portion of the knee joint.)

This works to free up knee joint and is low impact and only takes a few minutes daily. I add 5 pound ankle weights as well.

Hmmm, how does raising your toes / feet thicken the fluid inside the knee ???
When you raise your toes, you will activate your quadriceps. (Isometric quadriceps contractions increase the viscosity of knee joint fluid.) For more details about this, watch “The Ultimate Guide to Quad Sets” on the Better Knees TH-cam channel.
