Recent EV buyer. I am coming to realize that public charging, especially fast DC, can be very expensive. That trip would have been cheaper in ICE (10 galons or less). So if you don't have [cheap] charging at home/work, new buyers could be in for a big surprise.

I love my SE. longest trip for me is Burlington VT to NYC and back.

Have had a 2023 SE for about 1.5 years. LOVE IT!! Road tripped it a handful of times as far as about 300 miles each way. Not the best road tripper with the short range, but comfortable and fun. It can do it in a pinch with some planning.

Have same car, owned it 18mnths, it's amazing, I've averaged over 4 miles per Kwh and on long trips keeping speed down I often get 5 Miles per Kwh These cars are expensive but are absolutely worth the money

Luv the design and concept but too bad they having financial issues. Understand the Oregon plant shut down in 04/23 along with the website due to financial issues. They say they will be back (soon? ....definition of soon?) to production and have the web site up again. In meantime I would be scared to own one without availability of a corporate contact and availability of replacement parts if needed.

Driving distance from Houston, Tx city limit to other side of Houston, Tx city limit is 46.76 miles! Go another 40 miles and you still in the suburbs of Houston and need to stop for an hour to recharge. Better hope your in the shade while charging.

After riding that bike I sent this letter to the FCC. I am writing to bring to your urgent attention the serious adverse effects I have experienced due to electromagnetic radiation emitted by the Harley-Davidson LiveWire, an electric motorcycle. As an individual who is highly electro-sensitive, I am acutely aware of the effects of electromagnetic fields (EMFs) on the human body. However, the experience I had with the LiveWire was unprecedented and alarming, necessitating an immediate investigation into the safety of this vehicle and the EMFs it generates. Incident Overview: On [specific date], I rode the Harley-Davidson LiveWire for the first time. Almost immediately, I noticed unusual sensations in my body. When letting off the throttle, my arms began to tingle, and upon dismounting the motorcycle, white bubbles appeared all over my body. More concerningly, when I began to charge the motorcycle, I felt an intense and pervasive sensation that I had never experienced before. This sensation was so strong that it caused physical discomfort from up to 30 feet away from the charging unit. The charging process also caused visible damage to the motorcycle itself. The speedometer began to deform, and the mirrors showed signs of rust, despite the fact that the vehicle is stored in a climate-controlled garage, protected from sun exposure. These damages are directly linked to the charging process, as I could physically feel the radiation that was responsible for them. Health Impact: As a result of this exposure, I experienced a series of debilitating symptoms: My body was covered in white bubbles, which slowly receded over several hours. It took me six hours before I could urinate, which I believe was due to the rearrangement of my body’s cells caused by the intense electromagnetic exposure. My eyes burned during and after exposure, although this symptom subsided as I recovered. Since this incident, my sensitivity to Wi-Fi and other EMFs has increased dramatically, leading to a significant decrease in my quality of life. Why This Matters: The symptoms I experienced are not just isolated occurrences but are indicative of a broader issue that may affect other users of electric vehicles, particularly those as powerful as the LiveWire. There is a growing body of evidence suggesting that the electromagnetic emissions from such vehicles, especially during charging, can have significant health implications. Given the severity of the symptoms I experienced, I urge the FCC to: Investigate the electromagnetic emissions of the Harley-Davidson LiveWire, particularly during charging, to determine if they comply with existing safety standards. Review the safety standards related to electromagnetic emissions from electric vehicles, especially concerning individuals with electro-sensitivity. Consider imposing stricter regulations on the permissible levels of EMFs emitted by electric vehicles to protect public health. The health and safety of individuals, especially those like myself who are electro-sensitive, must be prioritized. I trust that the FCC will take this matter seriously and conduct a thorough investigation to prevent any further harm. Thank you for your prompt attention to this critical issue.

As a pre-owned purchase option, the M60 is not much more expensive than a pre-owned X-Drive 50. There are many low mileage lease returns on the market right now and several low mileage iX’s that people probably traded in once they realized that living with an EV was not for them. Particularly if they couldn’t charge the iX overnight where they live.
