  • A small video demonstration of the capabilities of a "compact" tractor. I own and use a Yanmar SA424 around my property. Using the backhoe, some harbor freight items, and some ingenuity, I accomplish tasks most people think are beyond the scope of a small tractor such as this one.

Solid video. Own the exact same set up. I’ve learned to never underestimate the 424. It never ceases to amaze me. Love it. Backhoe is a must in my opinion.

I agree. having that extra "dig" capability has saved my back already..

Thanks for posting. The Yanmar SA series tractors are really very capable machines. You get a lot of tractor for the money and you can't beat the 10 year warranty.

Agree 1000% This "little" tractor is actually quite amazing, especially if you have the skills and ingenuity to work it to maximum effectiveness. Thanks for the comment.

Nice job rigging! I probably wouldn't have thought of that trick, despite having all that rigging in my off-road truck. I'll remember it now; good video!

With a couple pulleys and a tail hold setup you can get 4x pulling power, I keep notes on this in my truck since FIL showed me. Well you rock, thanks Jay. Interested in the same model. I used my Dodge Cummins last time I did this work.

Puleys make a world of difference on a small tractor like this. Appreciate the comments!

If you will turn your phone sideways it takes a much better shot of what you filming instead of up and down. Great video too. I have a 2015 SA424 TLB I bought in 2016 and I love, love, love it.

Another thing I have done is fill the hole with water and let sit a while . Also the pull of the back hoe is stronger than the tractor pull . Just some of my experience. Enjoyed your Video. I have the exact same
    Tractor setup

That must have been a christian tree! It built it self on the rock. If you know what I mean. Very nice tractor.

I honestly dont recall. They were options from my dealer when I bought the tractor so I got them in one package.

As if removing a stump with a small tractor isn't already a pain let's throw in some massive rocks right in the way lol.
