This episode is CURSED. Cursed, I tell you! I recorded it twice and lost both recordings. Then when I finally got it recorded and edited, I couldn't get it to upload. So I've been trying for about a month. I have no idea what I talked about, tbh. So, I'll try to watch and then come back here with some links... Very nice! I will definitely try this. Thanks🤓
Nice idea, great tutorial, thanks for sharing!
You make it look easy lol. I love it. I didn't know middle for was a parasite either! Very interesting
I love mixed craft videos. I wish I had a textile course near me as it sounds interesting. Looking forward to your stitchalong as Sound of Music is a favourite of mine, love to singalong to it😂
Love your videos i love multi crafting ones marions world is one i enjoy facebook would be a good place for stitch alongs ❤
Omg a *round* robin 😅😍
Great to see you again and looking and sounding like yourself again. Yes to a FB group. Sounds just the ticket.
Good to see you. A face book group for your proposed sal is a good idea and would work for me. I am a cross stitcher not a multi crafter so I have no recommendation for you.Your diary cover is fab.
Love catching up! I belong to several active, useful Facebook groups and find them easier than instagram to navigate. i enjoy Crafty Clegg who is very mulicraftual w no cross stitch. Bumble Stitches, xstitchmd and Off the Grid Needle Arts also include bits of embroidery, quilting, crochet, and knitting
Yes, Instagram seems determined to stamp down on community. I think FB may be the way to go. Thanks!
Yes to a FB group! I have subscribed to The Last Homely House but I never watch it.....going to go over now and have a browse. I have to admit I don't really watch any multi-crafters. Probably Sian at Periwinkle Stitcher and Nicola at Bumble Stitches would be the two who do things other than cross stitch that I enjoy. P.s - glad you switched the light on - you were getting a bit dark! See you soon!!! xxx
Cool, thanks. I will try and do better with lighting next time!
Love the mistletoe bow, there aren't many charts for mistletoe Happy stitching 😊❤
Yes! Thank you!
I have discovered the world of people unboxing underwhelming Advent calendars and am finding it fascinating. I feel like if you are into fountain pen ink or nail art or whatever it is probably worth getting a specialist Advent calendar if you feel like it, but designer brands not so much.
Oh, I love that genre. I was watching one yesterday full of the worst possible tat from Temu.
🐴🐴🐴
Hi Ros love to see you back ❤ I love your advent calendar 😊
Loving the robin!!
Round Robin…you have a great sense of humour and an adorable ornament. 🦉🧵🪡🎄
I had so much fun with that one.
Super to see you back in the swing of things! You always have some unique takes on projects, I find your creativity very inspiring! Glad to see you got the other parts of the floostube sorted despite the technology issues! Happy Advent to you!! Libby
Thank you!
A Sound of Music hexie SAL? Sign me up! 🐐🦌
Hah! I hoped you would be tempted.
Looking forward to seeing the new releases. Best wishes from 🇮🇪
Excited by both my win and the news of your new releases.
Love the ink circle stitches. I also love the house advent calendar and it very much looks like my house! Fab video and even fabber curtains! ❤
Loved your stitching. The advent calendar and the wintery chart are both beautiful. Look forward to more of your short videos. Table 6 was the best at SIL week 2 😂😂 xx x
Another great video, love the round Robin , the SAL sounds very interesting.
Wow! I’m so glad you warned us to brace ourselves for your magnificent start! Suitably wowed here 😉 It would be lovely to have you stitch along with Sally and me in January if that’s what you feel like nearer the time. I look forward to seeing the development of your Sound of Music hexies.
Haha!!! I will see how things go before committing to joining you.
And another one! Yay! Love the look of that round Robin.....i really want to try perforated paper soon as I haven't as yet! Looking forward to number 3 now too! xx
I don’t love stitching on it, tbh. You can’t use the sewing method, and I find the floss always catches. But it is useful for certain kinds of project.
I'm so glad that you love the good! It was lovely to meet you!
That is a beautiful advent! love the personalisation of your projects Ros!
Lovely seeing you finally managed to upload your video! Thoroughly enjoyed it as usual. Advent!! ,
Great to see you back. Love the idea of a round robin using your WIPs. I remember advent calendars without gifts being the norm!
Lovely to see you back looking forward to advent and more stitching
Great idea re the SIL piece Ros…it was fabulous to be part of table 2 😊 advent
Yay it's wonderful to see you!! And a treat to know there are hopefully another 2 Flosstubes to come. I owe you a meet up message - still getting over damn Covid so hopefully feel up to it soon. xx
Ros, it's so lovely to see and hear you back here. Good on you for re-recording after all the IT drama - that takes a lot of...well, just a lot! I loved listening to you speak about advent. I've never seen an advent calendar like that before. How beautiful. Looking forward to parts 2 and 3 when they appear. 💕
I’ve seen the drawings by that lady before .. it looks lovely. And the pattern is fabulous for Advent.
so glad to see you back on screen, Ros. I know it’s been a tough year for you. Hopefully the last 2 months will be better than the first few months you had to endure. Thanks for being “real” and sharing your story this year. Life isn’t perfect and your openness will no doubt help others in similar situations. I can’t wait for Advent to start and the renewed focus on God, the true reason for the season.
Was the dog Theo? If so I can see where you were coming from!
Oh yes!
Love the winter charts and advent calendars and great to see you back! (advent international)
Hi Ros , great to see you back, really enjoy your flosstubes.
Great to see you again. Isn’t it frustrating when you can’t get your video to upload successfully 🤯. Congrats on finishing the SIL sampler. It looks great and it’s so lovely that you have added our initials. But where are your initials? Did I miss them or did you not include them? You need to be on there too! 😊
I am on there!
@ I’m obviously in need of a prescription update on the glasses 😜
@@sewmesarah Lol!
Hi Ros, so lovely to see you again. Paper advent calenders are just the best. Reminds me of my childhood. Love your curtains Happy stitching 😊❤
Great to see you on flosstube Ros. Like you I love advent and the calendar is gorgeous. Go well.
It's good to see you again!
Hi Ros, loved the advent calendar, pattern and stitching. Lovely to see you again.😃
I love the advent calendar and all your other stitching! Good to see you again.
Nice to see you back. I love a paper Advent calendar.
Such a treat to see you this Sunday morning Ros. Great to see you looking so well. I love Advent. In our house you were not allowed to mention the C word until after my brother's birthday on 9th Dec. If my late mother had her way, Christmas Eve would have been time enough to begin & she insisted that we celebrate till the Ephinany. I still keep the tradition, putting up the crib on Christmas Eve & leaving it up till after twelfth night. My lovely English husband was bewildered by this in our early years together but has got used to his strange Irish woman 😂😂😂 Looking forward to the next episodes. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪
Happy to see you back Ros! I prefer short videos so your plans for multiple short ones sound good to me. Advent international.
I love a paper advent calendar. I have such happy memories of winter nights and being happily wrapped up in my choir robes in church so proud to be lighting the advent candles when it was my turn 🥰
I'm researching how to finish a few small pieces that I have. My husband heard me listening to you and commented: "That's a nice accent." 😊
I enjoyed your reflections on what people like. My tastes do change. I am influenced by what other people are doing. I feel chagrined by that, but I know it's true. Also, I like the companionability of SALs apart from whatever is being stitched. At this point, maybe I like a little bit of absolutely everything. Name any style, and I can find something I will absolutely love. At least, I can't think of any exception. The people who do only samplers are the most mystifying to me, along with the people who do only cutesy-wootsy things. But there are samplers I love, and I can find cutesy things to enjoy. I don't understand stitching the alphabet over and over or why a block house with a giant something on top of it is appealing to do over and over. But I do enjoy some elaborate fonts and some of the wacky houses. I guess it's the "over and over" aspect that puzzles me. The people who DID the samplers centuries ago weren't doing them over and over until they died. No one had a whole wall of them. Why is that a past-time for many now? I don't know. I guess they aren't drawn to the other things, but that's wild to me. So, I haven't done a sampler, but I could. I haven't done a Mirabilia or any fancy lady/mermaid/angel, but I could. I haven't done a Chatelaine, but that's only because ordering one intimidated me. I've never beaded a cross-stitch, but I would now. I've always loved watching how the depth given to a piece by detailed confetti develops and how backstitching can transform. It surprises me how many people have trepidation for those strategies. I've never done a Dimensions, but I love a landscape or a botanical. And I equally love a simple stitched border on a tea towel, finished off with crochet. I think I was born a granny.
I find the sampler stitching a bit incomprehensible too. I have stitched a sampler and have another in progress, but I don’t need fifty of them!
