I don’t know where people get footage of these all black police cars. I’ve seen some special unit ones that only report to ongoing scenarios. Pretty all the ones I see in the US are bright white with a high contrast color saying police and sheriff. The closest I’ve seen is Arizona state patrol which drive bright silver with a diagonal black strip that stands them apart.

Lets critcally think for a second. If a criminal sees a cop, chances are they are going to stop doing whatever illegal activity they are doing, therefor theyre never gonna get caught. If they cant see the cop, they wont have a chance to quickly change what theyre doing. It has nothing to do with money

Well luckily you aren't supposed wander around until you find a police car in an emergency, you call 911, and when there is an emergency there happens to be these big bright flashing lights all over the car.

We in Britain have lots of different shapes sizes and purposes of police cars although the blue and yellow is iconic it scares people so to catch speeders or be more sneeky they have all sorts of under cover police cars some are more obvious as they used to roll on steels but now they really arent easy to notice as lights are well hidden and most modern cars have tint so you dont even notice that theyre coppers

What about rhe fucking lights and sirens? British police are cucked. They can't even respond to violent attacks themselves, they dont carry lethal weapons. They have to call it in and wait for the actual guys with guns

In the UK the police also very often use unmarked police cars so from the outside it just looks like any other car. These are the revenue source cars. The unmarked cars often used are Vauxhall Corsa’s, Volvo XC90’s, BMW X5’s BMW 3 and 5 series cars, Audi A4 and A6’s, sometimes Range Rovers, and the worst one to try run from their unmarked Audi A8 which are specially tuned for police use.

The lights and sirens are a pretty effective attention grabber, especially in fog and rain which would be WAY more visible than fucking paint. Im not saying American police get a pass but this wasn't the 5 star dish you thought you cooked up. This is hardly a complete thought

The uk has undercover cars too

In the state of Georgia we have cars called ghost units. You cant tell if they are police cars unless you look at them at a certain angle. This is for them to blend in with normal traffic. The only way you could tell if they were cops is if you looked at the tags. Now they have implemented tag covers on them where you cannot see the tags at all, even though those covers are illegal in the state.

Did it ever cross you mind that in the states we decide to make cops blend in so people who would already violate the law do it and get caught rather and just behave when they can tell a cop is around. Like i get wanted them to stand out and thats why the shine like a Christmas tree

There all as bad as each other here in the uk traffic cops don't have to book suspects they are simply handed to another police man to arrest because the traffic cops are money earners as traffic offences bring in a lot of money
