I just bought my bro one yesterday! All reviews pointed to this studio black over the studio 2. Hope he likes it. He started making beats back in 02 with sound blaster. Crazy how his mind put that together to make beats! Y'all def talented.

⁠@@JYD303The Studio Black is a controller controller so you'll have to use the software to sample songs. Or in the iMPC Pro 2 app. You can only sample 30 seconds of a song.

@@JYD303 Yeah. In the Tweak Tab under parameters. There's "New Sound" option. That has a turntable that lets you sample from iTunes or Spotify. You can only record for 30 seconds of a pre selected section of the song you want to sample though. Or you can import a wave file to chop up. Or you can use the Mic/Line function to record into the app.

With a Pro you can just use an adapter to connect the midi controller. Go to midi options & map it.

Yeah I just made this video for some content. You can't use any of the blacks functions other but the pads so it's pointless. Just using the touch screen is good enough.

Yeah they're definitely not going to iron that out. I get mad at pad performance because it's doesn't play Major Scales.

Right now I can't let it go until Akai drops a standalone I'm not picking at lol. Guitar Center always has used Studio Blacks though

@@d-hizar5777 Aye what up! Nah I haven't tried Mac M1 yet. I'm currently using a Windows laptop with Windows 10 installed. Yes the Studio Black does work with the latest MPC 2 software & has gotten all the recent updates. How long will they update it. I don't know but with the current updates you get the full experience of the software.

I just got one and its 2024! its so dope! Go to your back office and download th drivers like he said and it works amazing!

What Up Jason. I used the Funky Dream & Girls Eyes iMPC Pro Packs. I got them from the "AudioCopy" App "Content Store". It's a iOS only app.

Word! It's definitely enough to get the job done.

I'd have to say for me yes and I think it depends on what work flow you're looking for. The MPC software flows better with a 16 pad MPC connected though. Then the new MPCs remind me of the iMPC Pro 2 App because of the touchscreen. Then I already have a mixer and adapters if I wanted to record vocals into my iPad or phone.

Somebody just asked me this a few days ago. I'm not exactly sure but you might have to download the MPC Studio Black Drivers. In your PROGRAM FILES I think in the Akai folder there should be a MPC STUDIO BLACK specific folder.

@@daofficialyoungjay Thats tuff. Have you tried updating or installing (if you just got it) the MPC Studio Black driver?? I think you can get it from the Akai site C; - Program Files - Akai Professional........... You should see a "MPC Studio Black" folder
