Establishment of a running game is solely dependent upon the team you are playing. CU, like early in the game last week, tried "to prove" they could run, when our strength, passing, was what we needed to do - first. Anyone who says we should have tried to keep running against Oregon (last year) Nebraska (this year) and KStatebare delusional. They had the trench advantage against us. But, unlike last year, against KState, we realized in the 3rd qtr, that we are superior to most opposing secondaries so we battled back through the air and had the lead until Livingston screwed us with the man coverage. Which brings me to this week. I have to give it to Livingston. He FINALLY stopped calling man every freaking play and mixed it up. Called some stunts and blitzed with Shilo to light up that QB. Even at the end of the second quarter, on a 3rd and 12 (ifbi am not mistaken) he calledba zone to make sure they got nothing deep before the end of the half (God i wish he did that last week at the end of the game. We'd be 6-1...but i digress). He called a very diverse game today and put our defense in a position to dominate. We needed this. I am not a Pat Shurmer fan. He only knows 1 eff'n run play - up the middle for no gain. It worked this week because Arizona does not have gargantuan d-linemen like Nebraska to clog up the middle. But what were our most effective runs? Take a wild guess? Charlie AND Hayden bouncing to the OUTSIDE for big gains. Why Shurmer does not use motion or get our speedy backs/slot receivers out on the edge is mind numbing to me. And why Deion let's him call the same, bland running game, is even more stupefying - but we won. Very excited about the defense getting better and wrecking havoc on opposing qb's from this point forward.

The offense still left a lot of point out there because they didn’t run the ball when the should and they didn’t take the easy shorter passes and get first downs.

Amazing what happens when you run the ball The issue has been Prime and Sheduer more concern about stats and not winning. Sheduer should not be judged by passing efficiency, because he takes sacks to keep his stats looking good. He just need to stop putting the team in bad situations(behind the sticks) by taking sacks. Like I’ve always said, the issue has been Prime and Sheduer’s mentality that has been holding this team back. Every game 25-30 minimum design runs will win you games!

Glad to see you are as happy as the rest of us.I agree #2 has spoiled us fans. We are so use to he& #2 doing Overly Blessed things on game day. But, they are human, they will have off days, but we gonna love them all the way to the end of the season. This team is the All America's favorite team for many of us. Go Buffs

Overreaction respectfully. We had two scenarios that most would take any time any day. We had the lead with our defense needing a stop to seal the game. Defense didn’t hold ok cool but then we had over 2 minutes with 2 having the ball. Most would take that all day every day. I think if it happens again CU will pull thru

We were out-coached, and that pisses me off more than anything. If you're going to go for it on 4 and 6 or whatever it was, you damn sure better go for it on 4 AND 1! The last play of the game for CU, WTF was that?! Those quick passes to WRs in the backfield, that lose a yard or gain absolutely nothing, WTF was that? Having said that, If they get back to the idea of running the ball, CU can win at least 5 of their last 6 -Tex Tech will be a problem. Run the ball and give yourselves a chance to win.

The issue with the running game is Colorado does not even try to have a consistent running game. Here is what happens, just like an immature child, Colorado tries to run, gets stuffed a couple of times and then they give up completely instead of sticking to it. Running the ball is a mind set. There will be some adversity and you will get stuffed occasionally. They key is to stick with it and it will pay dividends in the latter part of the 2nd half. Colorado does not have to have a top flight running game, it JUST HAS TO BE ADEQUATE/SERVICEABLE. Look how well Colorado's offense was against UCF when they had more of a balanced attack. A decent running game will help the QB because Shedeur will take less hits. Your WR's won't get hurt as often. The OL will pass block better because now they have some rhythm and the opposing DL and LB's can't just pint their ears back.

A thing that isn’t said but should be, CU should have 3 losses. CU got lucky and won the Hail Mary lottery in a game they deserved to lose. Another thing that should be said, the teams CU has beaten aren’t good teams. Last one: CU is overrated in the delusional minds of CU fans, especially the Prime bandwagon fans.

Watch the final play! Sheduer made a NFL read! No one was open and he saw they had 6/7 in the box waiting for him to run! He had 1 option Will Sheppard 1on1, corners back to qb boom throw it and get catch or pass interference. It was the only receiver open and Sheduer found him. Sheduer proved ONCE AGAIN he’s not only the best quarterback in College football but possibly the BEST QB on planet earth!!!! He’s a once in a lifetime talent like Jordan Tiger Deion etc..! Enjoy him while you can! Remember Reggie Bush? No one watched USC but Reggie Bush made everyone watch! Sheduer is the same, he’s a special talent and we should enjoy him bcas in 15 years we will miss him just like we miss MJ! They were trying to do a deep pass in UCF game prime said no so they did it in this game

Shilo played like some garbage due to expectation he has set last season. However, this is his 2nd full game after recovering from a surgery and getting use to game energy so I kind of get it. If he is the same next game, that back up should be competing for the position. Micah Welch is important on offense. I could say more... but, so much has been held in over time.

Shilo isn’t fully healed and is playing like ass. Hayden needs to sit and IA needs to start. Should have keep starting Winning defense out there from past 3 games. Coach prime should have never cut off the beard. Other players would have been pulled at halftime if they played like Shilo. I hate Fulsom after dark. Shedeur pocket awareness wasn’t the best last game. 5 weeks in and our Oline is still suspect. There is still no real commitment or creativity to the run game. Omarion Miller is better than Will Sheppard but we won’t get to prove it because he’s out for the season. Travis needs to just play corner because he’s gotten hurt at WR twice (although they may have him play more WR now due to injuries).

Kstate fan here..CU is a force and had all of us nervous. Injuries suck but are a part of the game. With such a prolific passing attack all CU needs is to run draw plays. You ABANDON the run way to soon. If you add draw plays into your O you would be so much more unpredictable and effective.

Yes Shiloh had a rough game and that hit on Gittens was iffy to you BUT football is also psychological. Later in the game when they did a wheel route in the flat he dropped the ball when he saw Shiloh coming. Those hits show up later when the player knows "this guy is going to knock me out".

Shedeur was sacked 6 times, still put up over 300 yards. Being constantly pressured from the right side is the problem. He was also pressured when he through the interception. The oline coach needs to makes adjustments!!!!

The right side of the oline, players 54, 55 & 67 are reason 2 keeps getting sacked. They should be cut from the team.
