Why is it so easy to take the lights?

Did you have issues with the fittings leaking or weeping at the master ? I used the ones listed like the video but can't get them to seal up on my 2012

Even if you have video evidence, police aren't going to expend resources on stolen property. A determined thief will bypass your mods in less than 30 seconds. Those taillights are the new catalytic converter. Highly valuable and can be removed in seconds. Look at the bright side. At least you're not driving a challenger, because they just take the entire car.

It happened to me 2 weeks ago in San Antonio as well. I don't blame Ford, that would be like blaming me for it- we are both victims. But the hotel i was in and police didn't seem to care. Ultimately it is the bad people doing bad things.

Mine wouldn't connect to BLIS either. I have to buy a different wire. The issue is Forscan needs to be set to auto on everything in connections. My old wire had a switch.. the new one is integrated into wire and it works.

I have an 05, I would like to do something similar for the PCV... is this 100% VTA? (Vent to atmosphere) or is there another hose running back to the intake? Do you pass emissions and all that? On the 4.6 we have 2 pcv hoses running from each valve cover to the intake and one to the fresh air intake tube. If I did this set up as (VTA) I'd have to plug up those air ports to seal any vacuum leaks. I'd most likely wouldn't pass emissions and would have a CEL. How does yours work exactly?

Couldn’t you get your insurance company to purchase new BLIS modules since they were part of the tail light assembly?

I'm not giving up yet. Just going to use your information and see if I can come up with a Bliss fix that works on my 2016 that was stolen last weekend. Wish me luck

Hey where was ford able to get your reprogrammed? I bought some taillights offline with modules was able to program them but they where the wrong modules for my year model. So I bought some off Amazon that are supposed to be the correct ones but messed everything up just like what you showed in the video.

My 1st MT82 died, went Stage 3, that died and I'm only at 600hp This is my 5th manual car and I have never killed a transmission but now 2. Calimer does a great job with a garbage platform, its just such a roll of the dice and the internet is filled with similar stories. I bit the bullet and went with a built T56 Mag rated at 1200hp I just can't waste anymore time on money on the MT82, Grannas makes a impressive T56 My swap was 10k but I feel a lot better with a platform with a solid history then gamboling on another MT82 especially since my new build is almost 900hp

Follow up, used these codes to do complete Blindspot indicator system delete (BLIS)for 2017 F150 Lariat. No blis monitors were attached in tail lights at all, no dash light warnings and all other canbus things worked, Air conditioning windows airbags etc. My as built code for 720-03-01 in first block was 6805 and I only changed the 6 to a 2, I left the 8 unchanged. Everything else was the same. I have very early build 3.5 ecoboost, 2/17. I used the vLinker FS usb cable from Amazon for about $40, Windows 10 on a4 year old low end laptop. Also need either 2 month trial programming key for Forscan or for $12 get a full year no hassle key. You must have extended license to code. Forscan is an amazing high quality scan tool if you are not familiar with it. Its beauty is it is pretty easy to use compared to other freebie or low cost software. These codes can save you easily $700 dollars or more. Personally I dont think the blis system is very helpful anyway,so good riddance. This will work great if you are switching to a different type of pickup box without oem lights.

My 2017 f150 turns off canbus with bad module and the radio,a/c, front windows , trailer lighting all are inoperative. Turning off the blis system with in dash disable does not solve problem. Nor does trailer hook up which will also disable blis. If this code can stop my system takedown that would be awesome, and I have used Forscan for some of the cheat codes. Unfortunately I am on vacation and dont have access to Forscan now.

I just bought a low mileage (58k) 2016 F 150 XLT, heated seats and navigation, specifically avoiding the panoramic roof, 10 speed transmission, and BLIS tail lights. All are issues that Ford knows about but will not address. $5k for tail lights is ludicrous.

I have the same truck, and this just happened to me in February, but Ford gave me a quote for $750 for each sensor! The wanted almost $3000 for the tail lights and sensors. I ordered my tail lights from amazon, and the sensors from Ebay, but they don't work I guess because they are not programmed for my truck. Such a headache. I am so glad that I found your video!

Should I catch the sorry sacks of poop out my way - similar to Cat-Converter gangs. I've got something even better to maintain my property: Mr. S&W, which handles all types of security issues. Yes, S&W is also a family business, like the tailgate locks! I say, bring it out my way; it will be the most expensive tail lights they attempt to steal, especially if it's on my property. Happened to me in New Braunfels, they came into my apartment "secured" parking because the gate has been broken for months. $5000 to replace needless to say I may be suing my apartment complex for gross negligence.

Same happened to me. Twice! First time I went through insurance. Doing it all myself for the second. They cut my wiring too. I had to research how to fix that as well!

Day 69 of asking for burnouts

My 2015 Roush stage3 still has the original MT 82 shifts like butter with the MGW race spec trans mounted shifter. BUT every bearing in this transmission makes noise. 67k miles on this car. With 750 wheel. This fall a stages 3 BC will go in it.

My taillights were just stolen too. I just wanted to say thanks for making your mini series about this. It saved me only God knows how much time trying to figure all this out.

I think the mini ape handle bars are also an add on. They look taller and thicker than stock at 1-1/4" . The bike is in awesome shape and I love the color. Thanks for sharing.

Wouldn’t hurt to throw a clamp around the tailgate connection as well. I had one on my Gen 2 Raptor. Those tailgates can easily be stolen as well. It won’t stop them from getting it but it is a great deterrent.
