Hey man, great video, i coincidentally bought a GTX 1050ti recently to upgrade this exact system and found your video while searching for the answers. I got stuck at the GTX 1050ti part - the fans spin, but i can´t get any picture whatsoever. Any ideas? I´ve tried updating the BIOS to the latest version, nothing, a user on the Lenovo forums suggested i update the ME firmware to the latest version which is what i´m about to do now, but out of curiosity, did you happen to have any issues with running the card?

Hello! I have an old Lenovo G780 that I haven’t used for years but wanted to bring back from the dead. I stopped using it at the time it went to crap I didn’t really need a laptop, Anywho, received a “Windows System Error” stating I need to “repair or replace hard disk.” Would you say the Samsung is the best option or are there better ones out there? Really want the laptop to be versatile enough to game/watch movies if I wanted, but also used for everyday life/adulting. Thanks in advance!

How did you fit 2x8GB RAM sticks in a mobo that supports 4GB sticks max? You need 4X4GB for 16GB. (P7-H55M PRO)

I went with a x3460 as the 60, 70 and 80 are the top bins for this socket as the i7 are still expensive and I dont need onboard graphics. I went with a chinese 2048 8gb rx580 and it runs amazing on a slight overclock to 3.7ghz.

NOPE Kingston SSDs DO have DRAM cache. You would be able to EASILY tell if there was no cache. there are basically no reputable manufacturers without cache

I have those fans and I hate those fans. They flicker and they require a connector box

nice i am still using this cpu 2700k oc'd to 4.8ghz, 74c in cinebench multithread using Corsair h100x Elite AIO cooler msi rtx3060 12gb gaming x Asus P8Z68 Gen 3 motherboard 4 sticks Patriot 32gb 1600mhz ram 600 watt evga psu Corsair 4000d airflow case. I feel like i could prob get lower temps in cinebench if i reapply the thermal paste because i accidentally had to take off the cooler during the installation once. I scored higher than the i7 4770k stock, even if benchmarks say it bottlenecks at 1080p i find my performanced improved compared to the gtx1660 super in games like DCS World and train sim world 3.

Main problem is still that fucking price of X99 mobos.

First time I watch your channer your job is awesome!! I loved those customizations I got me a combo with an Asus x99 with an i7-5820 for $50. I have a modern Ryzen PC but I'm love with my build. I upgraded the CPU to an i7-5960x. I'm also using a rx580 8gb rescued from a miner but it's still a good 1080p GPU

hey my man! i am just going to custom pc but right now i got segotap case with 550 watt Enertake PSU, but currently out of budget to get motherboard and GPU Which am going to buy is sapphire rx 580 8gb sapphire nitro edition + in JUNE, my incumbent pc is a vostro 3650 with 16 Gigs ram 500gb hdd with 256 gb ssd and a gtx 950 OC, i can play for a while thing month but what am thinking is to swap my vostro motherboard to my custom build case, will i follow the same steps as u did? awaiting for your humble responce.!! cheers!

I have the same one myself, I’m looking to upgrade soon, me and my girlfriend did some custom details on it and it looks sick, its cherry blossoms with a japanese power symbol, 18gb ram and a gt 740, and hopefully putting in a gtx 1050 soon
