Thanks for this tutorial! Does this method alternate the usb dongle driver or something else? I saw a video of DanRock who bricked his Riffmaster using RB4INSTRUMENTMAPPER. Not sure what he did because he didn't mention it, buit i don't want to brick my new guitar. And can you still use it one the xbox after using this method? Thanks in advance!

So ive got the riffmaster but its using the guitar hero live highway. How do i get the highway to be the old guitar hero highway?

Here's my major issue though. I did all of that, but as soon as i get to the settings, the guitar does not do anything but pull up a keyboard onscreen and force the cursor to go the the bottom of the screen

When I saw this announced I wasn't really that into gh at that time, but I've been getting back into guitar hero/rock band so when I get this imma be playing the FUCK outta clone Hero, YARG, and World Tour Definitive Edition

Thank fucking god man I just turned on my controller after work and it suddenly just decided to not work with controller input enabled in steam properties but this fixed it. Thank you much, and thanks for keeping it as short as possible you are awesome.

I finally connected the riffmaster. the problem i'm having is that the red button is assigned to the 'back' key. so when i start a song, and it (inevitably) starts on the red note, i'm taken back to the previous screen. where in the mapping screen does it allow you to remap the back/previous screen button? (i had the same problem when using a keyboard to play. i was hoping that getting the guitar would fix the issue but it hasn't)

hey my circuit board for the frets is uneven so green and red frets work but yellow blue and red I have to press hard downwards for them to be used is there anyway to keep the board leveled

This works for Phase Shift too until you have to remap controls. Cannot use orange fret button on that game. Any workaround?

another technique is to just bind B to A in the controller settings and tab A and B simultaneously

Did this, worked great, went to play cod with my Xbox controller. No imputs. My pc is not reading my normal controller as something else now. Not sure how to possibly fix this

make sure you have the usb dongle plugged into the pc not the usb cable. it maybe behind the plastic guard covering the front.. fixed my riffmaster not being detected. the usb cable is just a charging cable it seems

I got lucky, im left-handed, and all the buttons are placed perfectly for me. Also, the 3.5 audio plug is perfect for left handers.
