😍
Finally a torch which have a full mirror around every led. I hate when you have a dozen leds in a lamp, but half of them practically has no reflector mirrors because they are packed so tightly.
Its a good mixed beam. A wide spotlight. I like that beam very much
I have a vision. Called the Marauder XRV. Give it a LEP like the Mini version. Same simple switch from flood to spotlight. Create a rig system like the weapons mount that wires directly to the auxiliary of a vehicle while also allowing manual oscillation as a spotlight. When you need to perform a massive ground search on foot, just detach it from the mount and flip it from spotlight to flood. It needs to last a minimum of 2hrs before needing to be placed back on its mount. Needs to have pass through charging while allowing use of the lights; needs an advanced chipset that protects the battery from overcharging. I believe Olight can do it. It’d be great for an enthusiast, but in my mind it’s for LE/Search and Rescue.
Still, I don't understand what the main purpose of such flashlights is. They are large and heavy. Therefore, it is impossible to take them with you on an autonomous trip without using motorized vehicles, when you need to carry your belongings on yourself. These flashlights cannot maintain high brightness for very long. It turns out that they are useful where you need to provide bright lighting for a short time using a mobile device. Moreover, not far from a car, house or boat. Surely, such scenarios exist, but they are not often encountered in real life. Perhaps such flashlights can be considered as technological toys, the use of which is not so much practical as entertaining. What is your opinion about powerful flashlights?
A normal sized 21700 powered flashlight can deliver 3000 Lumen for a minute. These big search lights can run on a mid mode for hours without overheating. For professional search and rescue or if you have a big farm property this light may be interesting for you. But I guess for the majority of buyers its as you describe a fascinating toy. I also don't really have a use case for these lights, but I enjoy to see how powerful they are : )
The train in the background is great. Such an insane light! LOL
Yeah, the train is lucky it hasn't been hit by the beam : )
U should also show the lowest mode because well that's what's gonna be on 99.99% of time unless we wanna get arrested by police 😂
: ) You are right but the high output modes are more impressive on video
I still own the 26650 powered FD40 with a rotating sliding head. It’s nice to see them still trying to improve the Zoomie. This one looks about perfect, from a beam point of view. It’s a bit chunky for the total output, but I’m sure they needed the extra space to make it work. The beauty with fenix is usually the high quality, so they last a long time while giving great results. Nice review.
Thanks for your feedback. I hope they will enhance this technique so they can build smaller lights with it
Nice presentation, loved the music and the very professional night shots. The drone gives great perspective. One question, does the light have a fan or is it just convection?
Thanks for your feedback. The OlightMarauder X9R keeps the silence. It has no fan
Слишком большой. Феникс тк20r v2.0 на много компактнее и удобнее
If you don't need to change the beam angle, go for the TK20 R V2.0
I don’t understand this flashlight. It not really brings something new. Great review though!
The digital (not mechanical) beam adjustment is something I never saw before
Hallo, haben Sie Interesse, die Sofirn-Taschenlampe zu testen?
Currently I have no capacity to make videos
Im looking for the longest throw, straight beam flashlight i can find. I currently have a manker u22 mkiii and its very impressive with the distance that little light puts out. But i want somehting with more...like unnecessary more lol. Any suggestions? I was about to buy thr lr60r, but im afraid it has more flood and less beam than im looking for.
For longest throw you should look out for a LEP laser flashlight
Sounds like you need a fenix HT30R
I didn't see any links in the description but I did subscribe and I'm looking for it now. Thx for the review. I like the flashlight.
Thanks for subscribing. Well, bewareofthebeam.com is not ready yet. I will add the links once its live, but since I can't change the video once its online I already told about the links : )
@ OK, I see. I looked into it and all the prices are the same and I learned a little bit more about the flashlight and it probably will be the next one I buy but I have to slow down lol. There are so many good ones lately. Thanks for your reply
Great review. This is my set up White on high Red on firefly Green on Med Love this light
Thanks for your feedback :)
1:39 is that a shooting star? Oh yeah cool flashlight, chunky but cool
Just some insect flying through : )
what if the company goes under or releases a new 700 euro lr 65r with a different battery then u cant ever get a replacement battery
First objection not so likely in my opinion. And even if you could buy one spare and use it along with the first battery to be on the safe side. At least it is replaceable.
imalent 4ever
I'll try to get one
Sigo sin saber cual ilumina mejor
Great vid. Right to the point with no fluff. Very relaxing voice also. I hope I can pick this up at a Black Friday discount soon.
Thanks for your feedback. Great motivation for my next videos : )
horrible review video. i cant hear what your saying well. you spend most of the time reading something that can be found on the website. waste of time.
Wow nice yard👍
Did that video on holiday in spain - Costa Brava
agzına saglık usta
After 15 minutes whether it is true does not go down to 1000 lumens ?
check out my test results in the video. Was done at room temperature
The actual lumens turned on is about 1200 lumens ... More than enough ... It's either this or the TK05R for me.. rated at 1000 lumens but on actual is 934 lumens also good enough.
Can you use cr123 batteries in these lights as well? Thank you.
No, thats not possible
Cr123 batteries are usually compatible with 18650 cell flashlights. This light uses a 21700 cell. Hope that helps you understand. Cheers
Hi. New subscriber. Greetings from the Detroit, Michigan, USA area! Nice review! I purchased my Fenis LR80R when it first appeared on the market a few years back. It has worked flawlessly. The flashlight may be somewhat large, however, it's the large size that dissapates the heat faster than a smaller unit...there is more surface area exposed to the air without the need for a fan which draws extra power. The large battery seems to offer plenty of reserve and run times. I wouy definitely recommend one based on my experience 😊.
Thanks for sharing your experience
Is it better to get rechargeable replacable or built in rechargeable?
For both LR60R, and LR80R there are changeable batteries available. For the LR80R its the complete handle with the batteries built inside, which needs to be changed. But thats still a good solution compared to LR40RV2. There batteries are fixed inside. No possibilty to change for spare or in case of damage.. Always prefere models where you can swap the batteries
@@bewareofthebeam what is the better out of the two?
Ok, weird question. Can you turn it on to max brightness in an instant? Odd question I know but if I want to absolutely fry an intruders eyeballs in a split second lol😅 Or does it always start at low levels? I guess is what I'm asking
LR80R has mode memory. If you switch off in highest mode you can turn it on again in highest mode with one press. LR60R with the rotary switch you can turn it all the way to the right.
Great vide9
Thanks : ) Planning the next comparison of 2 strong lights already.
What I generally hate about (most) flashlights are the pocket clips. They are not safe enough. They don't fit snugly enough. They should be screwed/connected to the housing somehow.
I am always afraid to ruin / scratch the surface when I attach or detach the clips. I like the idea to attach the clip with 2 screws. Normally you decide that you want to use it and keep it attached then.
Solid review, awesome beamshot footage 🙌
Thanks, I hope I find some time soon to do the next one
I got one for my brother, a couple christmases ago. It's the best flashlight you'll ever buy. Try to get it on say.Although for about a hundred and fifty , it's worth it Try to get it on sale though for about a 150, it's worth it.
Thanks for your comment - I also like the marauder mini
Great review! I am totally torn. I wanted the 60, but now I like the 80 as well. Anyone that has any good advice, please help.
Intense Spot OR Extreme Flood = Go for LR60R. Extreme Wide Spot = Go for LR80R
@bewareofthebeam thank you!! I actually ordered the 60 yesterday. I'm sure I will love it. But I will still always love that beam on the 80 -lol. I appreciate your advice and you taking the time to respond to me.
I have the LR60R. It's a great throw, but the 80R looks to be even better.
hey great review. so I got the lr80r any reasons to upgrade. to the lr60r?
Lr60r is not an upgrade to lr80r. Its more big brother of lr40r
Very nice presentation. The beam shots show the difference and what is the best light for the task. Please could you consider doing a longer segment for the night shots. I own the original RC40, and though it is ancient history now at 3500 Lumens it is still impressive due to the over 100000 candela. It’s always with me when I’m out in the wilds. New subscriber. 👍
Thanks for your feedback. I notice high dropoff rate when the night shots become too long and hardly anybody watches it till the end. Need to find the right balance : )
I jumped the gun, I thought the video was over when you finished at the desk. It’s a difficult audience, I hope you find your rhythm. 👍
what does LR mean 🟥🟥🟥
Did not find any explanation. Maybe Long Range?
The LR60R is an outstanding light. Forget the 21K Lumens, that is an advertising trick - but the light is capable of emitting few thousands reliably. The ergonomic of this flashlight is simply the best of the entire Fenix lineup. Also this light is unique as it can charge in one hour, so take a 100W power bank with you. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for your comment. Hope I can release my comparison video LR60R vs LR80R soon. Stay tuned
Good review comparative
Thanks for your feedback
Thank you for making this video. I really like your channel. I'm torn between this light, the Fenix 36R Pro, Nitecore MH12 Pro and the Fenix PD35R. Which one would you choose? I'm looking for a solid tactical light. Thank you. I hope you have a lovely weekend
PD35R with 18650 battery is more compact. All 3 are good choice. You might also consider PD36 TAC
It looks like the fenix tk20r throws the furthest? I watched another TH-cam review of the nitecore mh12 pro against the Olight warrior 3S and visually… the Olight looks the brightest with TIR Reflector
I also think the TK20R V2 beam is the best in this comparison. Did not test any Olight yet.
Fenix cost a lot more
@@Whitepinoy Thats true. The pricing of the newer Nitecore models is really attractive
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🫶
Thank you so much for doing this. You answered all the questions that I had. Both are great lights. I have two PD36R and I love them. Fenix is doing a great job with their lights.
Thanks for your feedback : )
Love the TK20, this seems like a nice variation.
yes, it somehow stole the show from the MH12 Pro in that comparison
As far as I know acebeam doesn’t look for subscriber numbers or views. I haven’t heard about Fenix or nitecore looking at subs or views either. But then again it only cost them shipping fees to send out review copies. Return shipping fees may be your responsibility. But I don’t remember. Not sure fenix or nitecore still sends out review copies.
Proprietary power cell = hard pass.
at least replaceable
@@bewareofthebeam Proprietary cells are used for liability issues to mitigate risk of high current draw overheating related failures.
@@bewareofthebeam 💯
You are doing a great job. Really like how you do the beam shots. Only suggestions would be to lower the volume on the audio track during beam shots, compared to your voice track earlier it is much louder and can you put the compared shots side-by-side instead of one after the other? Cheers!
Thanks for your hint and feedback. I will try to do some side by side beamshots in one of the next videos
Seconded. Great job.
Hey Beware of the Beam! I'm wondering how you got to where you are now - I've just started a TH-cam channel about reviewing LED torches, exactly what you've been doing. So the goal is to get Nitecore, Fenix and/or other brands to send me torches to review. Presumably you applied to review that torch, and then they sent it to you. My question is what did you do to get to the point where companies send you torches to review? In other words, how did you get to where you are now? I've heard things like "you need heaps of subscribers" and "you need to upload x number of videos first", but you have 29 subs. I would really appreciate a bit of guidance from someone who has done this before. By the way this is really great quality content!
You should not want sponsorships. If you enter into an agreement with any company? Then don't like their products? Or give a competitor a positive review? You're gonna get yourself into a lot of legal trouble. Strive for being impartial.
Thanks for your feedback. I am running an online shop photobatterie.de (but only ship within germany) But the bewareofthebeam.com website will go live also soon. You will find more data and info where to purchase workdwide there. So far I am just reviewing the flashlights which I bought on my own expense. If ever a video would be sponsored by a brand I would let you know about that fact in the video. but for sure I will always state my own opinion about that flashlight. So you might consider to buy flashlights first to review them. I am also curious when the first brand will contact me.
What is price in India plz answer
Sorry, I have no knowledge about india. What are the most popular platforms to buy things in india? In China it is Alibaba or JD. In Europe or US its Amazon. What about India?
Hi! I have problem with my tk11r. The memory function of my flashlight resets itself to the lowest setting if i turn the tail cap to "lock" the flashlight. This means that if you want to lock the flashlight, you lose instant access to the highest mode. Thats deal-braker for me. Does your tk11r do the same thing or is mine broken?
Yes, there is no explicit tactical mode for the TK11R. And I just tested. Mode memory seems to be gone once you unscrew the tailcap (and press the button while unscrewed)
@@photobatterie thank you very very much! This helped me a lot!!
Specs are lovely, but the pro light is VERY greenish. Fenix which already has green tint looks much whiter in comparison to this.
Yes, Nitecore should really check if they can modify this, as many users prefer a pure white light
Very good flashlight
Thank you so much for the very first comment on this new channel : )
