..my go-to for many years, its called George Dickel Signature Sereis these days...peace
Highland Park is considered the best distillery in all of Scotland?!! You sure about that? I really like your top three, though.
There had to have been a better way to pour it tho without spill😂
Woah wtf thats actually an insane find
Which one of these 3 versions would you say is the best and tastiest and the smoothest?
Great review.
Not for amateurs.
the Canadian inAnchorage is under 19 bucks
This is the best review I've seen for this whiskey. Some even mention hints of cherry / mery bla bla. I fully stand by everything you've said. I believe what makes this whiskey truly special is the water-it brings such a smoothness to every sip.
Fantastic review… just got a 12 year. One can’t wait to taste it.
RIPE WAS ONE OF THE BEST BEERS IVE EVER HAD!
T5 is great if you need to get drunk but you are very low on money. But prepare for the bad hangover. Tanduay Superior is overall great rum. They also had Tanduay Extra Strong for a while, it was just like 70% ethyl alcohol with aromatizer.
drink it with some redbull or cranberry juice😂
Alcohol and red bull? Sounds like cardiac arrest waiting to happen.
Highland Park 12 is my absolute favorite in that price range. It hits all the notes that make me a happy sipper. I haven't tried any of the other expressions as of yet. Thank you for such a nice review.
Found two at wm
Man I love these drinks! I wish they weren’t $10 a piece though :(
Neither of the two
Suntory does it.... AO OMG 1:20
It noses sweet. Like real sweet. It’s very nice on the nose. It tastes like overcooked asparagus strained through an old moldy burlap sack of grass trimmings. I’m glad I bought it, but I won’t be buying again. This may be the first permanent resident of the cabinets under the bar.
I will definitely be buying this lineup! Great content!
Really digging your content, hope you are still making some! Maybe on another channel?
Another great video! Just found your channel, liking the content, so wondering if you are going to make more videos?
$120 for Peerless in Nebraska. Definitely not for me.
Great video, thank you!
My nephew gave me a bottle as a present. It is a basic whisky at a basic price, but I really enjoy it. I am glad he gave me a chance to try it.
How can a “Single Barrel” be a blend of six to twelve year old rums?
It's not really a "single barrel" in the way that term is commonly used. What they do is take the blend of 5-12 year old rums and then *re-barrel that blend* in a new oak cask for an additional year. (I think the re-barrel rounds it out in the mouthfeel.) Have you tried that rum? It's a Spanish style rum. No sugar added. For neat sipping it's sweet, viscous, buttery, and there is some ethanol presence (but nothing extreme). It's a real good value for the money.
My general rule is that anything chill filtered, coloured by caramel and at 40% ABV ought to be avoided. So most of these are not getting my money. The Islay (Eyela) choices over 40% are all excellent, as are the Glen Scotia and Glen Goyne.
Caramel doesn't change anything
@@DrinkWater713 Spirit caramel is added for two reasons, normalising the colour differences caused by differering whisky batches or vattings, and to artificially darken the spirit giving the perception the whisky is older than it appears, By adding caramel (E150...in other words there is change and it is airbrushing.. the name suggests sweetness but in reality caramel colouring is actually very bitter.. isn’t it dishonest to colour the whisky to make it look more appealing?
@@Islwynpaul If it is more appealing and it does not alter the taste (it doesn't btw), then I don't see why it would a problem. They write it on the bottle, so you know it has caramel coloring. So it's not like they are trying to fool people. They just know people like the color.
@@DrinkWater713 I don't enjoy any whisky that has caramel colouring.
@@Islwynpaul Why?
Woodinville is from Washington not Kentucky
Did you just call it a Jameson green spot? And #singlemalt.. dude no
This is me thinking about day to day decisions.
I love the aroma and flavor of rum, but the buzz I get from rum is far less enjoyable than the buzz I get from whiskey.
Forty years ago, many of my friends who had a history of not liking Bourbon were very fond of Evan Williams 7 year old black label.
I mix it with Red Bull
Know why I did I thought it would be good. It is good.
I live in St Thomas and can vouch for the Cruzan Single Barrel Rum. Have you tried the Brugal Doble Reserva, you can only get it in dominican republic, it is amazing and drinks like a $75 bottle of zacappa for less than $15! And they just came out with Triple Reserva for a few dollars more!
Have had this bottle on the shelf for the last 4 years to open once i finished my college degree. Definitely not worth the price, but a very special moment to open a special bottle!
Ha same! Have you graduated yet? This year for me and looking for my celebratory bottle.
I mix this with Red Bull
I bought some on sale for $25/bottle. That's good stuff. Undervalued, in my opinion
I just bought a 1.75L of the stuff for the first time. It's surprisingly great! I'm a first timer to most if not all alcohols but this was damn smooth. I was worried that the low price was gonna equate to low quality and I couldn't be more wrong.
Never go against the captain sir.
Picking one up tomorrow, good review 👍 Cheers 🥃 😉
I just opened a dusty 90 proof black label, 30 + years old. VERY TASTY 👍 CHEERS 😉 🥃
I have only tasted thier Classic Chardonnay Cask Finish, wich i liked very much
very low cost at costco 11.99 for 1.75L does the intended job for low cost
I went through the distillery and was informed that the only real difference between the red label and black label is that the red label is aged in used casks.
Only missing black… green… red… Takara gold
