Oh no Jof, but such a very easy mistake to make. Glad you got sorted and was on your way. Get this one, when I was racing single seater race cars, we were about to do a race and go to the start grid. Suddenly realised that the fuel needed topping up. It the mad panic, fuel was topped up into the oil tank! (The two filler caps were next to each other) 😱 The air went completely blue. 😡 We quickly detached the bottom oil hose from the tank and drained oil, followed by a gush of the petrol sitting on the oil. A quick clean out , oil top up and we made it for the race.
What happens to the petrol he sucks out, does he let it settle out and suck the diesel out of the bottom level and put the petrol left behind in his van ?
So easy done joff always makes me nervous filling up that it's the right fuel . Glad you got it sorted but wow the stress you must of had esp blocking a pump and a que waiting

Bugger about the fuel. Not good by Shell to have similar names for different fuel. Later in your vlog, about 7mins in, I shouted, 'Jof...wroung side of the road!'. Then I remembered you were in the UK. 😅 I watch so many of your European vlogs I was a bit confused. We've also had some excitement with our Rapido. Some bastard tried to break in the other night and now we have to fix the driver's side door lock which they bashed in. They didn't get into the moho, just a pain now with insurers so close to Christmas.

With a diesel van and a petrol car I'm hoping I won't go into some kind of autopilot when refilling and use the wrong fuel.
