How I Laser Cut a Custom Electric Guitar from Plywood
มุมมอง 6K4 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video, I try a new approach to building a custom electric guitar by first 3D modelling it, and then cutting out 6 layers of plywood to form the body of the guitar. I also create a unique hexagon pattern on the faces of the guitar using a thinner plywood, and then stain and seal the guitar. The neck was bought on Reverb, the wiring from StewMac, and the rest from Amazon or eBay. I hope y...

My journey through the absolutely incredible temples in Angkor Wat, which are truly deserving of their place as one of the ancient wonders of the world. What an opportunity to not only learn about their rich history but also to walk through the amazingly well kept stonework that was placed centuries ago. Can anyone answer my question?my glue turns black and makes the ring kind of dirty as it gets heated by polishing. İs it the quality of my glue or what

    I would have made a tiny hole in the center to fit a disk bit and then sand around on sand paper then make the central hole "at the end". What do you think about this?

  • @BGP369
    @BGP369 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

    cut a cone of wood so that it can fit multiple ring sizes. drill a hole in the back that is CENTERED. Jam any hex shaft bit in there and glue it in. You now have a ring holder that can operate at lower speeds on a drill, safe for shatter prone materials. If you encounter slipping, just add a bit of double sided tape and press it down so its snug.

    very poor, use resin, not glue. also fill any holes you have. i noticed a few on the "finished product"

    I have ring blanks, mica, and a Dremel, but I don’t have the stand you were using to hold the Dremel and ring. I don’t know anyone who has a 3D printer. Is there a way I can do this without the stand? I also do these rings with UV resin. but never sanded them. (Oops) didn’t know I needed to. So, now, my cousin is wanting a memorial ring done with some ashes in the mix. I told her I could look into doing one this way. I really want to try. Any suggestions ???? Thanks. Excellent video by the way! New subscriber here!!!

    Gr8 video. I hope you were wearing a mask when sanding. As majority of stones are made up of a proportion of silica. By using a drip watering on part when sanding will help stop the fine particles floating in the air & being inhaled. Look up silicosis. Also have you thought of joining a Gem & Mineral Club in your area, they teach how to cut stones safely, make jewellery & much more.

    I'm pretty sure with soapstone, you have to heat it in coals? So it doesn't break. That's what needs to be done when making beads out of it

    Wao amazing job!! I wuld like to try make something similar !how did you slize your 3d model into different layers for lasercutting ? I often work with software line inkscape for my laser files but sometimes it would be very much more easy to visualize what i get if i culd skipp the 2d part and just focus on the 3d from beginning ! :) Do you have your files left wuld like to try to remix it and make my own version ! :D

    THANK YOU!!! You are the only person to mention to let the ca glue dry thoroughly before you start working it with a file. That’s a must and nobody seems to say so. The accelerator makes it cloudy even if you don’t use a bunch.

  • @sraa1952

    The ring broke off into a million pieces due to high heat generated from the dremel. You have to spray cold water to maintain the temperature of the stone as low as possible while spinning it. That goes for any stone. Its called wet sanding.
