Jimmy Bryant Country Guitar Lesson | 1966 Vinyl LP Country Guitar Lesson
Learn the songs in the album, then fill in the missing parts along with Jimmy Bryant himself!
The lesson diagrams in this are very unconventional compared to modern guitar literature, but keep in mind back in 1966 there wasn't really any standards yet for guitar lessons like we have today. The lesson diagrams may be outdated sure, BUT you can literally jam along with Jimmy Bryant! HA-SO!

Vintage DeArmond Pickups | DeArmond History | Inside & Out
มุมมอง 2Kปีที่แล้ว
This was re-uploaded due to a few audio issues- Let’s take a listen to some pure vintage DeArmond tones.. The instrumental track titled, Shut Your W#%r* Mouth, has a little room reverb on a bus. For the individual takes its completely dry, mic, amp, into an Apollo straight into Logic n’that’s it. This should give a good reference for the DeArmond pickup line pre-1970s. 0:00 Intro 0:06 DeArmond ...

Glen Campbell - Best Guitar Solos 1960 to 2000s
So far from the song .sounds awful I think. G e d
Thanks!
wow
For the most part, just guitar, amp, a little echo/delay and he's creating more than any other player in history. He has no peer. This is a genetic genius who discovered his gift.
Joe Maphis was not a pkayer he was a Phenom. Playing 5 ir 6 string instruments come on now.....
Leon sure could play. Clean and tight, as it should be. 🤣
Isso é o rei da guitarra
Isso sim é o rei da guitarra
Fingers of fire right until the end.
Back when country artists played instruments
The only player in my opinion close was Joe Maphis
One of the best ever Leon Rhoades!
Simply the best
Ove been trying to duplicate that solo for 10years. Fimally l🍽️ could slow down the video with youtube and saw what he was really doiing. Incredible and be was only 17 at the time be composed it!
The guy was with Leon Russell part of the Wrecking Crew which basically played on all those recordings from late 50s to the mid 70s. Carol Kaye, Glen Campbell, Tommy Tedesco, Earl Palmer, Hal Blaine they did it all.
People always talk about Jimi Hendrix or Jimmy Page as the greatest guitar player of all time, but a lot of these guys like Joe Maphus and Roy Clark, destroyed them. These guys were monsters on the guitar.
Reminds me alot of Les Paul.
Imagine being that incredibly talented and still ending your own life. Mental illness is baffling and cruel.
I'm seventy seven and i listen to a lot of music and watch a lot of videos of great guitarists; Glen Campbell, in my opinion, is among the best I have ever heard and seen. Fabulous both as a composer of great hits and as a brilliant performer and singer. An icon of world music. RIP.
He never showed that lightning speed on Goodtime Hour, in the late 60s. Maybe he, or the powers that BE, wanted to emphasise Vocals. He DID have Cream on, though.
Miss him
Watching the Glenn Campbell show on TV is what got me interested in the guitar and I still play. He is part of my growing up and I think of him often
The lap steel brings deep emotion that comes with a sound that calms the spirit. If LOVE has a sound its this.
GLEN CAMPBELL 🌟🎸🎸👏👏👏👏👏
Love the Japanese pawnshop guitar
One great very genius ❤❤🌹🌹😔😔
Who is this guy???
I remember this great talent and person.
Yee Yee Taught Jimmy Collins the Double Neck when he was around 9....look him up....That kid could keep up with Awesome Joe pretty well! THAT'S ALL FOLKS!
Some you should check out Leon's playing on the recordings he made with the Osborne Brothers. Especially Georgia Pineywoods.
And he made it look so dang easy!
Great player. Notice how Lawrence Welk had all his soloists grinning like lobotomised idiots. It made it all seem so artificial. Nice to see Levang with a natural, relaxed expression. You don't need a painted on smile to be enjoying yourself. That said. The man was a gem and in the pantheon of the world finest frettists.
So, the little neck is a tiny guitar neck? Blown away. This guy is a shredder’s shredder
Fuzz is a basic electronics project, beginner level If no Fuzz pedal gives you the sound you're looking for, study basic electronics and build the Fuzz you're looking for I recommend Google >>> [ Bazz Fuss Runoffgroove ] Excellent project for beginners in electronics, totally experimental, I did this one
And when I thought of a Glen Campbell guitar solo, I thought of "Wichita Lineman..."
3:34 He plays the solo as a saxophone player would. The notes selection, the phrasing, and the tone feels so much like a saxophone 🎷
I could see how his clean playing and technique could translate really well live, whereas sometimes when I’ve seen petrucci and the like it’s not as jaw dropping live, But idk if I could agree with the Shawn lane comment. That one id have to be there to believe it Also I can see how being this technically good and focusing on difficult type shredding too focused could make you less desirable to record with or make hits with. Kind of like “progressive country music “ , I could see it not taking well to mainstream
At the end of the 2nd movement at 1:40, what are ypu doing to get that drum sound? Is that an upright bas being plcuked very time there a drum hit? Also are those castanets in the 4th movement? Thanks for such a great video!
Гений!
Любимчик!
Россия с тобой, Нейл.
Я поздно родился. Нейл я с тобой!
I didn't know he passed. I'm bummed to learn that.
Amazing sound and some great work
it was the lap steel. you can find this when they perform it later.
There was a performance with the steel player covering the part. But that’s not what was done on the session.
Great player.
The guitar in that first clip is just plain huge! What is it?
Later in life he became a spy and worked under the name of Austin Powers
The man had precision, taste and chops galore. Light years ahead of rock players
