Changing Weber Grill to Pizza Oven
มุมมอง 28K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I was able to make a pretty efficient pizza oven using some old sheet pans. The big advancement came when I added the heat shield under bricks. Prior the bricks were getting way too hot and pies were burning. Also adding it provided a ton of top heat. I can only hold my hand in for a brief second before it burns. Also wanted to mention that getting an 18" pie off the peel is quite tricky and ta...

How do you like the oven?
I love it. Takes a about an hour to heat up but after that makes great pizza. Same oven pizza maker Norma Knepp used to use. Good stuff!
@@jc146989how if the recovery time if you’re serving a lot of people and baking pie after pie
@@cliff185026 Oven keeping up temp not a problem. I make 3-4 pies and cook them so never done large volume. I turn burner down between. If it cools too much I just keep heat cranked between making pies and it's fine. Rarely have to do that though.
@@jc146989 reason I ask is because I’m thinking of buying it and putting it in a trailer and selling pizza.
Got me all excited with your enthusiastic speed through demonstration. Lol Will have to wait for my LIKE because it’s currently at 123!?! I’m not gonna be the one to mess that up I’ll be the 125th
EXCELLENT Video
I am going to make one with drum but want to make it really good. I have a budget of $300. I want it to be around 12 inch high so i can cook meat also.
Would like to see a pie made.
10/10 for that lid. but why you say in an ideal world you would have drilled vent holes at the top. just drill them, no need to wait for an ideal world. lol
And NO PIZZA DEMO....LOL! Lame
made on the spot, hit everything but it.
No pizza demonstration?
Nice, I am doing the same, but it's better to make the walls and the top with bricks
Exactly my first thought. Larger brick bottom should allow for no need to turn. Good luck. 👍🏼
How did it go for you?
Excellent video! I am using it the inspiration for my build. Question for you. What is the height of the metal enclosure you built (in inches)? I targeted 4 inches for mine but then it seemed too short. I plan to use a solid aluminum sheet rather than a pan so I won't have the issue of the edge in front getting in the way.
Height of enclosure is about 5.25 inches. Width roughly 24.5", length roughly 16.5"
@@jc146989 Thanks for the reply! I am excited to start my build soon
Aluminum is poisonous........
Hey nice job you did here. Can you upload a video of the pizza being cooked in action? Tag me thanks a lot
Not the hero we wanted but the hero we deserve.
piece-o-shit
Nice design and all. but is worth the money to spend 600+ for electric pot puller.
