I love my ghosts But the subfaction allowing for retreat and charge w/out penalty of losing wounds, or even a dice roll, does make them appear oppressive.

I kind of feel like seize the center turn 1 can be a really big trap against a lot of armies. My seraphon and IDK both punish is super hard. Esp if they get the double

does your airbrush "leak" a small amount of air when compressor is on and your not doing anything?

I think you missed the suppression the dominance NH has to lower other factions Win rates everything over 50% once night haunt get addressed will increase in win rates. out of 27 armies Ogres as an example are over 55% win rate against 10 of them they cap out over 70% in to multiple factions and top out at 80%. LRL are similar they are only in the "acceptable" band for 8 armies. Fix Night haunt and all the other issues will come out.

the reason gitz are doing well is purely due to rockgut troggoths they are an incredibly under costed 3 man elite infantry unit sitting at 170 points when they should really be 220-250 people run half a list worth and buffs for them and turn their brains off the rest of the army is awful apart from the cavalry and skraggrott but thats a given due to how he interacts with the army

I recommend acupuncture for that sciatica (from a real acupuncturist not a PT or chiro.) I'm not biased. 😏

I've know managed to get a game with or against every army. Other than the bad egg nighthaunt, I do think all factions currently have decent play. The way armies play has had some dramatic changes for some and I think we're seeing some those suffer a bit because of it. Then there are some units that are way undercosted ATM such as gluttons and rockguts. After the first balance patch I think we're looking forward to an awesome ghb season. Playing since 1e and the game has never been better. My only main complaint is subfactions aren't diverse enough rn, I'm hoping they fix that as tomes release.

Spearhead looks and plays great. 4th edition looks and plays like crap. Just my opinion!

I see grey plastic

Our HG need their 4+ ward with a hero within 10'' back. When our unit charge, the foot hero behind cant keep up. If their intention is for us to stay on objectives and tank, we need either some reccurence or better saves or fight on death. Usually, if an army can't move, they should be tanky AF or hit HARD.

Does anyone know where to check for Age of Sigmar GTs and tournaments at large? I wanna get into AOS but really don't know where to find competitive spaces.

Here a Fyres owner....Fyres need to be FULL reworked. Cant win tactics, cant win combats quickly enough, cant almost move....magmadroths are useless... gw need to think what is the way for this dorfs. Sad dorf here

Hi bud, Fyreslayers player here, not competitive, I enjoy just full sending an army. I've got about 1800 points ATM and looking to possibly start another army. What would you suggest as a faction just to pile a load of hard hitters into the middle of the battlefield? Ironjawz, Stormcast, Ogors?

Played a few games now with Fyreslayers and 4th definately seems to be monster season again as no longer driven to "core" units to meet requirements most lists i see 2-3 monsters. Currently playing with the below and will be taking it to my first GT at the end of November. Looking at tournament stats there is a heavy use of certain battleplans which have a 50-50 split friendly/enemy territory hence the lean into forge brethren. Thanks for the reasonable take on your games. Interesting to listen to. The commentary on the battles was really helpful cause im looking at getting a fyreslayer army together for my first AOS army. Not discouraged, just will be realistic when i get started!

I've played a couple games against Fyreslayers, and they've routinely been a little slow against my nighthaunt and fleshcourts, and their t-shirt saves and wards don't sit well against a grind army. In addition, I agree with your assessment on the heroes--they crumble real fast if you look hard at them.

I think people really value the consistency of a giving the runemaster ashbeard. Greed might be good to put it on the magmadroth for an extra prayer. Runsmiter is also kinda clutch for mobility and board presence allowing deepstrike. I've been wanting to test Elthwin's thorns ROR for mobility. A unit of gossamids and arch-revenant as a little skirmish squad that can shorten enemy charges and teleport. Might not be necesary with the amount of bodies on board and runesmiter, plus is dissinergous with flamekeeper. But is a fun thought ill try in a couple games when i want more variety.

drybrushing and washes are also near 0 skill high reward. I don't sympathies with anyone disliking it because it lowers barriers for painting, but if people just don't like the style it produces or think it's used when it shouldn't be too often I 100% get that.

So yes the Grimhold Exile can only use the explosion ability instead of a regular fight ability however if you do do the fights twice prayer it will allow him to explode and then fight so you do have acess to him fighting and exploding.

Long-term, there are too many games and not enough time so my investment of time and money over the last couple decades has been 40K, but as I had some start collecting boxes for AOS in my closet, it was fun to build my blades of khorne and seraphon and get them on the table. I have played about a dozen games, against my girlfriend. She enjoys my seraphon while I'm enjoying my BoK. Even running the same two spearheads against each other multiple times, between the different card draws the different deployment shapes and the different sides of the board, the games have been fun and competitive every time. I just finished my sylvaneth tonight and will see how far I can get in building my slaves of darkness through the rest of the weekend... I will get back to 40K and combat patrol, but I'm definitely having fun with spearhead. As for the fire and Jade book, obviously that's two of eight realms so at the very least they could release three more books thematically focused on the remaining six realms.

Just played my first 2 games of Spearhead. Lost both and still had more fun than any other table top I have ever played. It’s simple, short, and as a 40K competitive player, it was a breath of fresh air. Play it. You won’t regret it!

Spearhead is fantastic. I came from 40k and it was like studying for a college exam every time I tried to play. Then I'd still screw up the rules. Spearhead is fun. Easy to get into and I can play multiple armies for collecting/painting. I'm in love!
