Paul George Shakes Up the East
Paul George is a much-needed upgrade for the Sixers. But is the 34-year-old enough to push Philly to the upper echelon of legitimate contenders?

Props to you for being a Knicks fan/ Boston hater and still giving the C’s their due. I have the same sentiment as D White, “They tried to say we weren’t battle tested, what u think the last 2 years was? That don’t mean nothing?” And yes Brad was the GM of the year this season deservedly so
I’m worried about the Knicks’ big man lineup. But no thunder have a serious chance at winning the chip
Thunder should be viewed as no worse than the No. 2 team for the title behind Boston. And yeah, worried about the Knicks. Mitch is great when he's healthy. Key word being IF. Then again, Thibs gets a lot out of unheralded big men. Annoyed they didn't get Goga but we'll see what they do
@@dlubofsky yeah Mitchell Robinson and ig precious as the only proper backup isn’t very assuring. (Go commit and sign whichever centre played for villenova with the others)
This is the worst decision the Wizards have made since giving Beal a Max contract. Deni could be perfect for their rebuild and could only keep increasing his trading value in case they wouldn't want to hold to him. a classical move of a new GM that takes for granted the fact he has a gem in the team with 'too good' contact to just give him away for the uknown.
agree on every point
The warriors should have offered him a speed boat
all the speedboats
I don’t like this move since last year the sixers flamed out with their lack of depth. The team is too top heavy and their super mega mvp star is injury prone.
agreed. it's high risk
spending all that money just to lose to the celts
who will then lose to the Knicks

the real killer question is what is the name of the dude Charlotte drafted
There was first pick??
So I’ve heard
Atlanta has a basketball team?
Technically
We are talking on a management that decided to pick up the fourth year option in Wes Unseld Jr contract just in October, so they are going to pay him full salary for 2024-5 season. Most of their decisions are bad the others are really bad and maybe 2-3 are ok. At least they got some assets for Deni. I was surprised that they signed on the contract last year. That's was there only smart decision.
Yeah. And then they traded that great contract for a reset 😂
@@dlubofsky bad management can't keep something good, they must do something to ruined it. Anyway, don't really understand Wizards fans that keep telling me about OKC like it's a proof for greatness. I can agree that their former boss, Presti is a great GM, but he isn't there, just some guys that work for him like, Weaver who was really bad GM in the Pistons.
All year long I heard that this draft is gonna be the weakest so I know nothing about it... We'll see how accurate were the talking heads.
Every draft always winds up better than expected. But as far as hype it has none
what’s wrong with being a luh corny in his success he’s worked his life to achieve?? Corny is what got him out of the high speed’n killa crab bucket we call our home, y’all just hate on greatness and those who imitate it to any degree that’s why majority of y’all perpetual losers in life who have no real grounds to speak on what you would have done in a situation you have not, will not, CANNOT EVER be in and this dilemma will confuse me until my days end🤦🏾♂️🤧💯

the only reason is " Deni became to good for a team tries to lose a lot th next 2 seasons and has a good value"
You’re correct
thank you for your take having been a Boston sports fan my whole life and losing to NY consistently its been a breath of fresh air this last 22 i umderstand your feelings and agree but we had Porzingis out and still played on the team had true balance .
Yep. I might be a big Knicks fan but I always try to remain impartial as a content creator
hes not even that good lol.. he plays soft. hes not a dawg. his numbers are inflated cuz hes the number 2 option on the wizards lol. instead we got a young lengthy point guard who has great pick and role IQ and plays the mid range like a poor mans SGA. deni isnt anything special lol.
He was a growing young talent on a descending great contract. You don’t trade that just to try it all again with another young guy
@@dlubofsky his ceiling wasnt gonna be high enough. its not like we're the clippers and just traded away SGA. Deni is not that good lol. sure he got better but hes still not someone to drool over lol. cant believe how desperate we got as wizards fans that we're crying over deni lmaoo.
They need to lose this year to get top pick in the 2 next drafts … deni will help them win and they dont want it Next 2 draft full of talents
That’s probably why they did it
I dont know what you see with Deni. He can't dribble. Always charging to the basket even their are 4 defenders around him. Glad he got traded. He is the reason Wizards are losing and not Poole
LOL 🤡
Jordan poole burner account has been identified
agreed. this man is overrated. his numbers are inflated cuz hes the number 2 option on a really bad team lol.
what you on about. deni got every year after he got traded. Those number aren't inflated at all. Also was does trading him actually accomplish? Even if you don't like his game , it was way too early to trade him.
@@mrawesome7175 trading him accomplished getting more picks and drafting younger player at a position of need to develop lol.
Here's tank management 101 for you all: become awful to move up the draft boards, then stay bad by trading whatever relevant assets you inherited from the previous regime in order to obtain as many high draft picks as possible in the coming years. Build a solid foundation around your own picks. Then, with the remainder of the pile, trade for established all-stars and compete for championships. PS: This strategy will never work outside of North America because in foreign sports leagues, bad teams are relegated to lower leagues for the following season rather than receiving draft compensation, resulting in a slew of lost revenue from TV, sponsorship, and gate ticket sales, potentially leading to the organization's financial demise. That is why, if you do poorly, coaches and even management are frequently sent home mid-season to avoid a potential disaster.
I’d love relegation in the NBA. It’d be hilarious if
@@dlubofsky It could be quite nerve-wrecking for all involved, including the fans.
I think the problem was that he was probably TOO good and not young enough. Wizards are going for another tanking year and building towards possibly being good in 3-4 years. sure, they would have probably preferred to get rid of Poole and/or Kuzma, but it would have been much harder to get solid draft picks for them. still probably a bad deal trading away a known solid young roleplayer for potential future picks, but since when have the Wizards management have been known to be competent
That’s what it seems like. Full tear down to go for the top guys next year
Your missing the point. They are looking to tank to try to get cooper. There are 4-5 teams who are in the sweep stakes. Debi makes them too good to tank
Deni *
That’s what I’m gathering as well
“Love you- I think? Bye.” Gotta love the bond between a father and his son
This dynamic in particular 😂
But why him. I get that u think that a pick doesn’t matter bc it’s not pick 10 but why him. They could’ve used it on someone or traded it but they are just wasting it.
They did it to keep bron
@@RichardGamingVIbesexactly. Lebron said he'd go to any team his son was on. His son may not be good but a 40 year old Lebron is still top 5. And if you're a small market team? Imagine ticket sales
I really don't get the issue, if he was literally anyone else that had his exact same metrics and stats and all that no one would care, and it was the fourth to last pick I'm a weak draft class anyone you get was gonna be an experiment and it's not like he isn't a good player he just didn't get much opportunity in college. And you're not getting much value for trading a late second round pick and the Lakers aren't exactly drowning in trade assets. A second round pick is basically a salary dumper and the Lakers aren't dumping the amount of salary they need to sign a good player with second round picks. If he wasn't LeBrons son no one would care
Other teams wanted to draft him around that range. He has to turn teams down
@E_alvarad0 top 5 is a stretch top 10 is safer but I'm not taking 40 year old Bron over Luka, Steph, Joel, Gianni, Jokic, or Shai
A lot of 🏀👅 today 😢😅
Ok
He did force their hand tho
He didn’t force their hand with a top pick though
I can’t believe people calling this nepotism. Bronny might of got a boost in the draft cus of lebron but he earned it!! Last year this kid was put into cardiac arrest, missed half his college year but when he came back, he was rly solid. Then did rly good in the combine. Bronny earned his spot on the team and I believe he has a bright future ahead of him.
It’s 100 percent nepotism. I just don’t think it’s a bad thing.
And I also don’t think that doesn’t mean he can’t develop into a legit nba player
Dude, stop the BS; Gianni brother was a better player. Was playing in Euro league.
Fair😂
Genuinely maddening. I understand we are rebuilding and want to be bad but trade Kuz, trade Tyus, trade Corey, why trade the best pick we’ve had in YEARS on a PHENOMENAL contract that will only get better as he improves. Being a wizards fan is pure hell. Why the fuck is Deni in Portland and Kyle Kuzma is still on my team? I don’t hate Kuzma but we could have 100% gotten a similar return for him + Corey or Tyus. Maddening. There’s absolutely no way I can try to rationalize this trade from a front office perspective, at least for the wizards. Portland got a good one.
YOURE TELLING ME THAT WE TRADED DENI AVDIJA FOR THE 14th PICK IN A DRAFT FULL OF TOBIAS HARRS’S?? I’m done bro.

No they passed on him because be made it very clear he would not play for them and he had already threatened to withdraw from this years draft
isnt that a lot of first round picks for 1 dude who has never been an all star tho?
yes, but the Knicks are contending rn so they don't care about the future. The 1A guy you typically trade those picks for was never gonna come. They didn't have to give up any of their key rotation guys. And there's no denying that Bridges further validates their title hopes. So a lot of picks... but worth it
Simple. Same as Giddy, he wanted to be traded, didn't love playing in a losing system with Poole. He got traded for a vet and a 1st. Move on.
One hundred percent Deni did not want to be traded, a week ago he participated in an article in his country and said how happy he is where he is and is looking forward to next season

Deni has a lower ceiling than you'd think so it makes sense that the Wizards might not have gotten the best deal. Also they might flip Brogdon for Benedict Mauthurin so that'd be cool
lower ceiling doesn't automatically mean bad player. And why would Indy do that trade?
@@dlubofsky not saying Deni is a bad player, just that he's average and becuase of that the Wizards probably didn't consider him immovable and got the most value they could out of him. Bub might be the better player in the long run. Also I don't know why Indy would give up Mauthurin for Brogdon but I saw a rumor about that so I thought I should mention it.
