On Track with MotoGP Riders | Humbling Experience | COTA April 2024
#Aprilia #trackhouse #trackdays
For the past few years, Aprilia Racers Days has held a track day at Circuit of the America's the day after the MotoGP race. This year, amateur Aprilia riders were graced with track presence of Raúl Fernández and Miguel Oliveira, professional riders on the Trackhouse MotoGP Team. They swapped around different Aprilia bikes showing up at random in different rider levels all day. It was treat to see just how ridiculously fast they were on showroom stock bikes as well as race prepped RSV4s.
Also, Jerry @bigtimebigtimebigtime was there too - Nice suit catfish!
And one of my most exciting moments was when I found out Miguel O. did a flying timed lap on a bone stock RS660 and nailed a 2:24 around COTA. That is THE first time I've seen a recorded lap by a professional on an RS660 at the Circuit of the Americas. That time may seem slow compared to racing and qualifying times from other series, but it lays down an official benchmark on what the RS is capable of at this track in good conditions.
Thanks for watching, and reading this far! Peace!

Triumph Street Cup - One Year Review - is it the best factory cafe ever made?
มุมมอง 7Kปีที่แล้ว
#triumph #caferacer #motorcycle Answer to the title, definitely not the best cafe. But possibly the most bang for your buck outside of RE. No amount of specs can really do this specimen justice. It is what it is, the quintessential near-perfect cafe-style motorcycle. Unless you respect your neighbors, because it's kind of loud. for a good synopsis of the model this article covers the street cup...

Great video, a year later, you still own the bike? any reliability issues? Love the bike, thinking of trading my Yamaha for it, but the reliability issues.... ahhh.... scares me to be honest
You guys want to know how absolutely GOATED this bike is? I just sold my 2020 Aprilia Tuono V4 factory and bought this BACK. so much fucking fun. its insane.
you don’t miss the V4 torque? i’m close to pulling a trade on RS660 for a V4 factory
@@flip_moto Aprilias V4 are indeed torquey, but so are the Triples, they are very similar in power delivery. But Tuono is about 30 kilos heavier, exhaust note is by far the craziest thing you will ever experience and they pull like they are 250hp not 175. But they are heavy as fuck. I miss how easily I could throw my 675r around, they also have that induction noise which is very unique.
the japanese bikes DONT lol😂
90 = L not V ... Fabio Taglioni rules on this point
Just a note for anyone that has never had a bike with a dry clutch. If you are in a hot climate, and find yourself in stop and go traffic on the freeway.....do not ride the clutch! You can literally burn up the clutch. At the least you will ware out the clutch prematurely, and friends, replacing anything on a Ducati is not inexpensive, and attempting to do certain jobs yourself is so discouraged by Ducati that it can be difficult to locate shop manuals. Which is the only way you are going to get a detailed step by step how to. It took me two months when I was trying to locate a shop manual online, to find it and get it downloaded before Ducati pulled it down. They really want all serious work on their bikes done only by factory licensed mechanics, which is why hourly rates are considerably higher than the usual shop rate.
THANK YOU SIR, for letting the bike speak for itself at the end there! Such a nice song 😎
Nice Video 😃👍
I love the clutch rattle from ducati
WOW.... Most of those people are terrible!!!
You spelled Aprilia wrong at the start of the video 😂
@@snikwadRR i know, i have to live with it. oooof. guess i could reload but the algo took a hold of this one lol 😆
I just did a Ridesmart track school out there this past Saturday. Third time in three years on the track. It's an awesome track!!!
If it makes you feel better the guy you couldn't pass also missed the red flag before the one you labeled :)
@@paulcmiranda i missed that one too. that’s a tough stand to see because a rider should be looking for the apex marker for turn ten. and yeah he kept on throttle just enough i couldn’t get past with a measly 95hp
@@flip_moto Yeah, on 4 wheels that would have been a corvette driver blasting away on the straights and slow in the corners. Still looks like a blast!
To be fair everyone is going round like it's a sighting lap
yep first lap - there was only one hot lap this session because of red flag
3:42 Don't Do This Meanwhile some Elite MotoGP Riders rides in one hand in apex
Wow ,I wonder how it will look in our pov if they are in Q1,Q2 fighting for start position
Novice group
I was assigned B group - there was A,B,C that day - I don't know if A or C is novice LOL
Crazy to think they’re probably taking it easy and not pushing like they usually do
What a sick experience man! The editing was also a treat 🔥
A wild Miguel Oliveria appeared!
I'm actually purchasing my first ducati and it's a 05 sr4. This video helped out alot on my decision making lol. Thanks!
I can see you didnt learn from your low side. Still accelerating while leaned and just letting the tc figure it out...
drop me a time stamp where my TC kicked in lol - my low side was actually from bad braking
I've had mine for 16,000 km no issues yet.
That's not a choke, it's an idle speed lever. Put it at the lowest setting and leave it alone. If the bike won't stay running, regardless of temperature, you have a mechanical or electrical issue.
Too loud 😂😂😂😂😂. Oh that's cute.
Fabulous!!! I just love your enthusiasm.
Nice review. Too loud??? You're the only triumph owner who I've ever heard say that. When the thruxon 900 came out everyone complained the stock pipes were too quiet lol. Each to their own. The loud noise will save you from being hit by a car though... they may hear the nose and realize you are there. Stock pipes would be way cheaper than buying another bike... the tax of a new bike alone will cost as much as new pipes. Aero pipes are fairly quiet from my experience having them before... not quite but quieter...
Ya love it And love my 2001 Black ducati monster 916 s4 With a standard wet clutch Absolutely a blast to ride
How much did it cost to decat and get a race ECU? Between doing that or leaving the bike as is, what do you recommend?
the Miiv full system is one of the more affordable decatted exhaust, about $900. SC project is the other popular one for about $1300-1800. RaceECU was $400 from AF1 racing. Highly recommend doing it, it level out the power band, get more torque in the mid-range. If you do that and gear down the front sprocket one tooth the bike becomes lightening quick. It will lose a little top speed which only really matters at tracks as big as COTA.
Motorcycles are toys, just buy whatever makes you happy honestly. Ride them until the warranty expires, then sell it for something new. Its way more enjoyable expericing new bikes than riding the same bike for years.
I want a street cup, I'm short and I like that it is lighter. It needs to be noisy for Safety!
Live in Austin too! Considering this same exact bike too. Love the chrome forks tbh over the gold in the thruxtons
